luckytxn got a reaction from TBoneTX in Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Dead At 87
Trump for Rushmore!
Is she buried so we can say what we really think of her yet?

A woman won't likely face the shameful "Kavanaugh" treatment by the Democrats in Senate.....

Always wondered myself why they never made me at least a moderator. *sniff*

Watching with macabre fascination on click2houston.com -- transformers in Lake Charles blowing out as the reporter spoke.
Cameron (La.) beginning to go under water even before eyewall landfall.
Sustained winds approaching 80 mph in Lake Charles, ~30 miles north of Cameron.
Storm surge ~20' expected even north of Interstate 10.
Power could be out for weeks in some of the many rural areas.
Arkansas going to get trop-storm-force winds.
For me, just a mostly cloudy, somewhat breezy night.
Feeling some "survivor's guilt" here.

Really. A few hours ago I read that we were expected to get Cat.1 winds. I don't remember if that was gusts. I am doubting that we even get that.

They about to get annihilated again big time. Lake Charles is about to get a lot of the "nasty side". That front west of us saved us big time it looks like. I never expected a Cat. 4 though. They are going to be in bad shape after this but better them than us.

Thinking about the people and property in harms way. This storm is about the same strength as Irma was when it hit us on Big Pine Key. Every structure had damage and several homes were totally destroyed, in an area which is well prepared for hurricanes. Power will be out for weeks in many areas.
Hope all are prepared.

Yeah, she can support anything she wants, but just like the 2nd Amendment, it is not going to change. As stated many times, there are radical ideas on both sides and most of them will not come into fruition, and then there is enabling of Marxist violence which is actually happening.

Argh... it's forecast to come here as a low this weekend and we still haven't been able to get damage repaired from Isaias yet. Looks like TX/LA will get hit hard here... really feel for you guys.

Hurricane-Evacuation Plan for Houston
Yankees take I-45 north to Dallas.
Cajuns head east on I-10 to Lafayette.
Mexicans head west on I-10 to San Antonio.
Texas Aggies, get on the I-610 Loop and keep going.

So far, the high pressure to the east has stayed toward the eastern side of the Gulf.
The low pressure to the west is keeping Laura's track to the east.
Remnants of Marco might also be protective.
Pending later forecasts today, looks like the thing is still headed straight for Sabine Pass.

Not expecting Harvey-like flooding. This will probably be more of a wind event. Have already lined up a fence guy for the inevitable.

An opening of their minds. Sadly, the opposite often happens at universities.
