Alhamdou lillah, I just recieved the interview letter, that will Inchallah take place next month in casablanca.
i have some questions regarding that.
I was told that i can fax my wife a copy of the letter so she can obtain an appointement to get her medical exam done.
is that possible or does she have to wait until she recieve the letter.?
any futher clarifications are appreciated.

it's better if she wait for her letter from casa cause she will have enough time to get her medical exam done before the interview that way the embassy will received in the right time from the doctor and they will know that you respect the rules guys . so what you really need to do is prepare your wife for the questions also tell her to work on the way she will present the evidence for the officer it's so important evidence mean (photos-emails-chat history-phone bills-plane tickets - copy from your passport that shows the stump on it when enter morocco -engagement or wedding rings and receipt if possible and any thing you think it would help to prove your relation) so when the packet arrived to casa it will take around a month to get to her i got my packet a week before my interview so i hope this informations will help and good luck for you guys if you need any informations just let me know

Has anyone ever had a delay on a medical report or know anything about it?
My fiance had his interview on 8/7 and all we are waiting on is his medical report to get to the consulate.
has this happened to anyone before, if so can someone let me know what the wait time is?

ok what i know is the medical report get to the consulate before the interview .this casa embassy is really sucks they will never tell you about the right reason they delay your case' anyway does she gave him a form after his interview if yes what the form says ? if she didn't give him a form called (221g) you guys will hear the good news soon .my advice is : you go ahead and contact them by email and tell them that you contact the doctor and he told you that the medical report was send to the embassy 5 days before the interview date and don't let your fiance contact them cause they wont answer his emails but they will answer yours . good luck guys i am here to help u welcome

Ok we are 3 months waiting in AP for CR1
but I really need to know what that means.
Does he receive a green card immediately once he comes on a CR1 visa?
can he drive if he brings a driving permit from Maroc?
I just need more details, as I have said, I have a really incompetent lawyer and my hubby thinks he will not be getting his green card, arriving here in US..this is why we are waiting this time now, so when he comes the AOS is finished.
Is this correct?
Anyone recently receiving the CR1 can surely shed some light on what will happen once he gets the call to come get his visa.
what reason, if any, would they DENY him a visa if they already granted him K3?
ok he cant use his driving permit from morocco in usa as soon as he get here he have to get a usa driver's license but his driving permit from morocco will help him getting his usa driver's license without passing the drive test he will have to pass just the writing test about CR1 i have no idea i enter usa as k1 visa so good luck for you guys

Hello. My fiance arrived here on May 31st, 2008 and we are required to marry within 90 days; however, I had some medical issues and family issues I needed to take care of so we are now down to the wire with about 10 days before the end of the month. We will apply for the marriage license tomorrow but we would prefer not to do the ceremony until Tuesday, Sept. 2nd.
My question: Can we take an extra few days past the 90 day time limit? It is for a VERY important reason.
you guys need to get married soon and apply for AOS cause time is so important i got here and we waited 2 months to get married and now after 6 months i am still without a job cause i am waiting for my work permit it's so hard and boring doing nothing for 6 months so after you get married and send papers to immigration you will have to wait for 3 or 4 months to get him a work card (EAD) and you imagine...... good luck for you

Hi,We are waiting for our Packet 3 from Casablanca (our packet arrived on August 18th), and have heard from others who have gone through the process that we might not have much time to get everything together, so we are working on that now.
I have an important question for other K1 petitioners through Casablanca, I have consistently read and heard that Casa is exceptional in that it does not required any financial information to get the visa (i.e. no affidavit of support required). Because of that, I have not been preparing that information at all (I know I will need it for adjustment of status, but I have just returned from living abroad and am starting a PhD program in September, so suffice it to say I really am in transition and am not really ready to fill out all that information quite yet)
So, my question is for those who have recently gone through Casa, did you fill out the affidavit of support or not? Did you think it would help your fiancé at the interview or are we fine without it? Or do I really not need to worry about it?
Also, how long was it between when the packet arrived at the consulate, how long you got Packet 3 and how long the interview was scheduled...

if they let you inside at 7AM. what time can you go out?
it took me 1 hour with the officer but i know someone took him 3 hours for the interview so be prepared good luck

Hello VJers,
My love had his interview on May 13th and everything went well. He said, she said everything went good and issued him the 221(g) AP which he was prepared to receive. And I know it will take either weeks or months but I have a few questions.
1. What is the phone number to DOS or can I go online to view status?
2. Do the agents at DOS know when the petition has been processed through the "Security Checks"? Because I read so many posting where people are calling and getting so many different answers.
3. And should I wait a week or so before calling? We all know how Casa can be at times

wich kind of 221g he got ? if it says we will contacte you ....... they will contacte hin after a week if it said your case returned
to dhs that's not good then i hope he got the first one so they will call him to get the visa good luck

i think you have to apply for AOS mean : EAD-AP-GREEN CARD cause you will need EAD to work and all cost 1010 $ anyway that was my opinion good luck

Hope this post finds you well...
i'm posing this question to those of you who know the Qu'ran and Islam way better than myself.
is listening to music haram? have you ever heard this before?
i got in a heck of a dispute about it last night, which of course lead to poring over the Qu'ran. i could find nothing about it in my English translation. And the person i was arguing with couldn't back it up with text either ... other than a vague reference in a hadith.
so, any insight on this?
i understand if listening to music makes you forget your prayers, or if it makes you do sexy things...
but haram?
please advise....

in my opinion music will be haram in situations like in cancers or clubs where poeple danc and take off their clothes and drink alcohol or use drugs .that's mean it's haram if people use it the wrong way . but if you use it the right way it's halal god bless you guys and always allah a3lam

I went to DMV office today but the staff said I don't qualify to get DL Permit or even State ID cause my I-94 is close to expire :unsure(it's 20days before expiry) she said I should wait my AED. Anyone here knows about it how does it work?
I need it for my AOS.I also went to DMV and they did the same for me since my I-94 is close to expire. So what I did is wait for my EAD, anyway, maybe you can bring your passport during you EAD biometrics as your valid ID. In my NOA1 for EAD and AOS it says that you could bring the following:
1. a passport or national photo identification issued by your country
2. a driver's license
3. a military photos identification, or
4. a state-issued photo identification card.

they mean your DL from your home country to use as an ID for ex: if you wont take your passport to the interview then take your DL from your country that include your information like passport i have the same problem i cant get my DL here because my AOS not approved yet so to get a DL in usa you need SSN and EAD approval or card good luck

so here we go . i am waiting for my EAD card to arrive it's on the way i hope i will wake up tomorrow and find it in the mail box lol good like guys
