    2 choices:

Take Bob's advice and prepare for a lengthy and expensive court battle if you are issued a citation for driving w/out a license and/or get into an accident and your insurance company fails to pay out when they claim you are not a licensed driver Follow the laws of your state and the advice that so many others have provided here.
It is your choice to believe what you want - I prefer the least risky path, but that's just me.

If you look at the statements you made directly before and after the "agenda" sentence, it would be impossible to rationally come up with the conclusion you have suggested. I'm sorry your marriage did not work out, but let's not play games, ok?

Filing suit is easy. Winning is something else.
Imagine the deposition in this case as the mother is asked all the questions that can be asked. A defenses' proper job is to prove this child's death was the fault of the mother, the father and anyone else. This is not about right and wrong, this is how the system works. You don't win money by filing a lawsuit. You win by proving your case, or accepting a settlement after you provide a strong enough case where you may win.
Imagine going through a two year period where every possible choice of a mother and father is highlighted as the actual cause of their child's death. How did the child get sick? Poor sanitation and care? Why didn't the mother seek proper medical care? Too poor? Why didn't the father send more money? Did he go see a that X-men movie, spending money on entertainment while his child needed money for care? Did someone check the wrong box on a form they submitted? Whose fault is it that something got mailed in with a page missing? I can't imagine anyone thought at any one time, "But for this action, a child will die." And I am sure there are things that could have been done differently by many people.
But I would not want to dig in this dirt and look for fault. Odds are no one is at fault. But if you demand to find it, it will be found.
The best case scenario, after it is all done, you get money. And if you are willing to trade your child for money, then you need to look into your soul.
The worse case scenario is that a jury of impartial people, many of whom will be mothers and fathers with their own children, will decide after they impartially review all the evidence that no one in an official capacity was at fault. This leaves a smaller and more dangerous pool to blame.
You may have a case. You may win. But make sure you know what you are going after if you file a lawsuit. A judge cannot give you your child back. You are going after money. I suspect what you need is peace.
There are amazing support groups for parents that have lost children. Look into them.
    My condolences. My best.

We did this, too. My credit score (after nearly 3 years of marriage) is barely 100 points behind hubby's. It's definitely the best way to go, rather than one of those prepaid credit cards which takes AGES to accrue a good history.
The only other alternative is to get your prior credit reports from your home country's credit rating agencies and letters from any banks or financial organisations that you used as confirmation that you have good history.
Hubby and I will be closing some time in February, so I'll be interested to hear how you get on, OP, if you'd come back and confirm how it all went.

A bike path agenda does not have as much value as a human life. Regardless of whether you disagree with them or not, wishing them physical harm is pretty sick.

This share the road stuff is pure #######. Fact is, bikes and runners can't maintain a pace that would allow traffic to flow. So you create bottlenecks everywhere.

Ok, first let me get this out of the way:
    YES!:
    1. We are madly in love!
    2. We talk incessantly each day!
    3. We are two soul mates fortunate enough to meet each other in this world of 6 billion!
    4. We are fully committed to each other and long for the day when we are together "till death do us part".
    5. We do become impatient with the extended K-1 visa processing with some days our desire and longing becomes unbearable!
But practically speaking, the 7 to 9 months from NOA 1 to our interview and subsequent approved visa allows the both of us the time to get certain things in order (finances, pay off a few debts, a relocation, health insurance issues, rearrange affairs, etc.) so the start of our life together will be planned and enjoyable. Because we all know that there will be other issues and obstacles thrown into the mix that will need to be dealt with.
How about you, come on, maybe you can't openly say this out loud but is not the 7 to 9 month wait a blessing in disguise!

Especially in Texas ..but that's another story.
Jobs actually wasn't all that techy - he was more of an artist and a consumer tastes man. He came up with all the shapes and colors for the apple computers and the 'feel' of the iphone. Sure he specced what it should be able to do - but he didn't have his head in software or chips
Being both a real techy and being an artist and populist are pretty much self exclusive
A bit like being a dog fight promoter and a geriatric ward nurse

If something that is currently done can be done with fewer steps, why not? I'd posit that is precisely what technology is meant to do.
Let's say I want to put forward an idea and give a tip of the hat to Kathryn who first suggested it many months ago. I could enter the idea here, tag Kathryn and she'll automagically know I referred to her. Currently, I'd have to enter the idea here and then send Kathryn a PM. Nothing wrong with that, but it's more "work" and as I've already said, technology is supposed to let us do more with/in less.

The only Apple product I own, or have ever owned, is an iPod I purchased about 5 years ago. I use an Android phone, and Windows/Linux based PCs. I'm not a fanboy, I simply am able to appreciate Jobs' contribution to the industry.

You can't say he made major contributions to the computing world and, in the same breath, bash apple products. The vast majority of his contributions initially took the form of Apple products. You are ridiculous, as I said. And please, for the amusement of myself and others in this thread, let it be known how and why you are qualified to discuss this.

I'll break my own rule, yet again, just to put to rest some of the wildly unsubstantiated claims a few people have made in this thread.
Mr. Jobs contributed more to usability standards than any other individual in the history of computing. He was among the inventors of the modern the user interface, in fact. You can thank Jobs for the convenient UIs in all of your devices today, as his initial developments in this area greatly influenced and continue to influence all devices. Jobs was the first designer/developer to focus on simplicity and usability in order to allow the masses to benefit from computers. Don't just take my word for it, take a minute and look at what some of the great minds in software and design have to say about his contributions (Bill Gates, Joel Spolsky, Larry Page, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Ballmer, Steve Wozniak, etc, etc). There is no one, I repeat, no one who has even a shred of competence or knowledge in the field of software development or design that would agree with your assertions. What you have said cannot be backed up with facts, at all, and is completely and utterly ridiculous. This is yet another topic you are commenting on that you clearly have absolutely zero knowledge of.
