No it won't be a problem if you delay filing the I-485.....but be aware you may need to redo your medical if your original one is more than 12 months old.

We redid ours.....plus we left it so long we had to re aply for EAD.

If I were you I would file asap after your second anniversary.

We applied late....see timeline.

Not approved yet.....but we had EAD and that has just been renewed so I'm not that bothered.

We had no real reason for leaving it so long it just happened that way. After the constant worry and form filling it was nice to take a break for a while. The up side of waiting is that now we will get a 10 yr GC.

I think it is a ####### shoot.....I wouldn't let it influence the visa I applied for.

Bring the evidence you think you need when attempting to enter the US for a visit.....but be aware that you may be denied entry.

edited to say.....I came in under the VWP....and my POE was LAX everytime.

I travelled several times while my visa application was pending....had no problems and was never asked to provide any info re ties to Australia.

Probably a good thing because I didn't have any evidence.....that was before I found this site.

We re did our exams....I didn't check with anyone but ours were over 12 months old so we just did them again!

edited to say........we also re applied for EAD but there is no requirement to do so if she still has plenty of time left on her current EAD.

My son (k4) is in the same situation....I believe it is non immigrant alien...for now

A K3 needs an EAD or a green card before getting a SSN. The woman was almost correct.

The non USC fills it out.

Your filling of forms is done now....you petitioned for her to be eligible to apply for a visa.

Now she applies for the visa....so she fills in all the forms (all but affadavit of support forms)

regarding signatures....I signed for my daughter who was 11 at the time...and I signed her Aos forms too...I signed and put ( mother) and filled out the part on the forms that ask if anyone other than the applicant completed the forms. I did that for my son's forms too altho he signed them. (he was 16/17)

We got married in US while I was visiting from Australia....I didn't need a SS number.

um....they want the person who is filling out the G325a...in this case the step son....to put his father and mothers name.
