EI and EAD
in Canada
and just as an FYI for anyone reading this thread....this has nothing to do with you being a Canadian....this applies to all K3 visa holders.
-
Regarding the G-325A...if the children are under 14 they do not need one. 14 and older they do.
-
is there an expiry date on the card?
Yes - it expires next year.
in that case you should find out what an I 751 is....
-
Definitely show up for your appt!!!!
-
is there an expiry date on the card?
-
If you were married for more than 2 years at the time the Permanent residency card (aka Green Card) was granted you should have a 10 year card. When does the card expire?
-
I am sorry to hear of your situation...but you have a green card....you are a permanent resident....you can stay.
-
The A# ( also known as the Alien Registration number) is found on the NOA2....the I-94 and sometimes on the K1 visa itself.
It starts with "A"....looks like A *********
and just for future reference....
The non immigrant visa number is the red number on the visa and the I-94 number is the printed number on top of the I-94 card.
Good luck

If you do not have a SSN when you fill in the I 765 just write "none"
-
Write the Control Number...no worries
yes worries.....that is wrong!!!!
sheesh
-
But it should be not too much of a problem to re submit the missing parts right?
I am worried that they will say thats it "case closed"!!!!
Don't worry.....they will keep sending it back until they see you submitted everything.
As you see they shuffle everything up....put it together their way....so just re submit it and I am sure you will be fine.
-
He said he got the whole thing sent back with stickers on it( I am guessing the stickers where for the missing parts),he then sent it off again but with his G235A ONLY.
This was like 3 weeks ago when he sent it off again,so I am guessing they will see that my G325A is missing and will contact us again telling us it is missing.
Guessing I understood RFE wrong then.I wonder how long it is gonna take until they contact us again that the G235A is missing??
I already sent off my G235A to my fiance so that he can then resubmit it when the forms come back,I am guessing that is a good idea right?
Definitely a good idea.... he needs to wait until they send the package back...then re submit.
-
They will do a quick check to see that the packages are complete.....they will return it all again to you to re-submit. (initially they returned ours 3 times cos my husband forgot a page of a form)
Then you will get the NOA1...with a case number.
This doesn't mean that you won't get an RFE in the future....you may... who knows.
Good luck

Awesome news!!
~~~CONGRATULATIONS~~~
There is no specific time that you must file I 485.....asap is always best but you can wait a while if you like
She cannot apply for EAD until she is in the country....she needs her 1-94 in order to apply for EAD.
~~~CONGRATS~~~

Yes you need to send them to the lock box in Chicago and yes.....put the two packages in the one envelope.
Separate the packages and use two checks.
-
hello. can you tell me what i have to do to renew my EAD? it's going to expire in june, so i think it's time to renew it. thank you !!!
You just fill out another I-765 as before.....there is a place on the form to check that it is a renewal....attach a copy of your current EAD and anything else they want.....pay another fee and mail it off.
You will have another appointment for another fingerprint and photo.
-
You do not have one.
Why not? A tourist visa is a nonimmigrant visa...... And it has several numbers on it, so I'm assuming one of them has to be it.
There are specific visas that are non immigrant visas (K1 and K3 among them). They have a non immigrant visa number.
A tourist visa does not.

We haven't got a green card yet but we filed AOS after we had been here almost 2 years.
There is no specified time that you must file but asap is always best.
Good luck

I travel about 24 miles and it takes me 35 minutes.
Country road and an interstate.........but a very quiet stretch of highway.
I like the commute...great scenery and time to unwind on the trip home.
-
I sent 3 packages...mine K3 and my two kids K4. All 3 packages in the same envelope.
Mine and my sons had 2 checks each....check I 485 and a separate check for EAD. My daughter had one check I 485 only.
I use paper clips only....each section of each pakage paper clipped then the packaged clipped together.
so now I have totally confused you.........
-
You definitely can apply for an EAD alone (as a K3) It will be vaild for as long as your K3 is valid.
I am not 100% on applying to AOS without an approved I-30....i believe you can....I will leave that for someone more knowledgable!!
