this is from the letter from Guangzhou that include with my ds230

now the check list

1. mailing address (EMS) I think they try to save money and make u paid for the EMS fee. I didn't send them the EMS but the regular label with my spouse mailing address.

2. passport

3. two photos

4. translation (assume birth, police, divorce and all other certificate)

5.birth certificate.

6. if birth certificate not obtain, obtain notarized with both parent name and your name with full birthday and birth place

7 police certificate.

8. court paper (no need)

9. military record. (no need)

10. support evidence (yes you have to submit i864, the same one that you submit to NVC with all the evidence)

11. marriage certificate.

12. original document

13. custody paper (if you have children)

14. resume (no need)

15 visa extension notice. (if you have too)

that is all from the list, it also said you you just submit 1 copy of each documents when interviewed. so i guess just get what you can. and also make sure you obtain 2 or more copy of original because they want it.

Coolgt, no questions on I-864 .

For DS-230, still not clear, what should be include in the mail to NVC :

1. Write a nice cover letter to them .

2. DS-230 Form ( Part 1 with signature and Part 2 without signature )

3. Barcode sheet

4. Supporting documents ( Mentioned above ) and 2 pieces of photos.

Is there anything else NVC SEND TO US and we have to RETURN BACK to NVC ? No EMS Labels, right ? I want make sure I am 100% understand so that I do not make mistake. Help to answer this two question.

I864 form

Last 3 year fed tax return which inluded 2007 tax return

2007 W2 form

Current Bank Statement

Letter from employer if needed

Here is for Ds230 form

Ds230 part1 (make sure there is two question to write in "present"

2 passport photos

EMS label(p4)send to your spouse in china for appointment (not require)

photo copy of you current unexpired passport page.

save part 2 of ds230 for your medical exam then u hand that in with medical paper work

For DS-230, when you get the MAIL from NVC, what documents are included ? I understand below:

1. Barcode cover sheet ( we can make one use James' shortcut )

2. Form DS-230 ( we can make one use James' short cut, do not sign on Part 2 )

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE ? How can we know what kind of supporting documents they want ? Is there any checklist for the documents they need and included in their MAIL ? Can you scan one for reference ?

for those that have RFE and can't wait for the letter in the mail. normally it take a week from the RFE actually generate to the mailing date.

for example i got an RFE generate on feb 27, 2008. It won't send out until march 3, 2008

change the case number name, name, priority date and bar code on the sheet. make sure you change the date to the actually date the case has generate the case.

make sure you know what they are asking you in order for this to work. I hope this help for those that doesn't want to wait.

Hi Coolgt, questions again:

1. If using James' short cut, is the barcode cover sheet for DS-230 the same no matter go through standard Process or Interview process? Is there only one barcode cover sheet for I-864 ?

2. James mentioned the EMS Labels pre made out , what does this mean ? Did he mean we need put some blank EMS Labes into the envelop together with DS-230 ? And NVC will forward this blank label to Guangzhou Embassy? If this, we can track our P3/P4 using this labels ? I feel funny.

You first have to determine what kind of embassy you going through, Appointment or Standard Processing.

On this threat all of us going through Appointment Processing so documents you mentioned the petitioner(or agent) have to send to NVC. Your description look like Standard P.

Hopefully someone will give you link where to check your embassy requirments.

Thanks. Yes, I got the forms show the list of documents GuangZhou embassy need when do medicial & interview. So this must be a standard processing. My husband only need submit NVC some copies of the documents and the photos. In order to make sure nothing is wrong, maybe no shortcut on DS-230 form and the supporting documents. Just wait for the mail to come.

the thing is you cannot write them personal check because of bounce check or insufficent fund.

yes both of them is paid to NVC with Saint louis po box and address.

the $70 you can use the shortcut but the $400 u cannot people already try and fail

so paying IV bill you should wait for the stub it self

a. Is Alien Register number NVC Case Number?

b. Where can I find GIV-24 family compisition sheet?

c. Since my husband will send signed original I-864 form and ORIGINAL tax returns to NVC , when I get interview, I can only provide COPY of Tax Returns , corrrect? I-864 form should not a problem since he can sign and bring to here.

d. Should I sign for my daugher ( less than 17 years ) on her DS-230 ?

Hi, Coolgt, our cases are still in USCIS, I am reading ahead in order to use James' short cut.

One question, does the agent ( USC ) need submit the DS-230 with the original documents to NVC? I read on Guangzhou Embassy instruction, seems Chinese Applicant need bring all the original documents when get interview, if agent(USC) get the original documents and gave to NVC, how can Applicant keep the original one?

Second question, is the packet USC get from NVC together with DS-230 call P3? Is P3 be sent by NVC ? Not Guangzhou embassy? Embassy instruction says Guangzhou send P3.

So, if USC is the agent, applicant only get P4 for interview dates and instruction?

Hi, YuAndDan, questions again on the Police Report. Does the Police Report need show the timeframe ( from the year when I was 16 years to now ) ? Do you have any idea what the police report looks like? I have not made it and hope can get it done this month end.

police report/divorce have 1 year expire date. so u get it now it will expire march 2009.

i think you should wait untill case get send to NVC then start to get them. it really easy to get them anyway

Does NVC has any website we can track our case once moved to them except Tele & Email ?

Does anyone know if we can get the police report notation done now if suppose our case move to NVC in June? Will NVC reject our documents if it show Police Report dated 2-3 months earlier?

Also, how long does the Birthday/Divorse Notation expires? We got all this done last Nov.

a week after i receive noa2 from USCIS i call NVC 603-334-0700 enter my uscis case number then they will tell when my case arrive at NVC and give me my NVC case number. write NVC case number down send in aos bill, wait for about a week email them about ds3032 with case number on subject line.

when u start the process just call the number above to find out your case stats, if u run into problem ask VJ members they here to help

Noted with thanks. Find we can send DS-3032 by email to NVCINQUIRY@State.Gov . The DS-3032 form I find on internet expires on 12/31/2006, funny, can we use this revision? Is there any new revision? We are planning in advance base on James' shortcut.

the reason why people don't use them is they afraid of getting lost or getting RFE,if you know what you are doing it save alot of time.

by using the shortcut my case at NVC is almost 3 months already and on the last step, if i go with the traditional might as well still at the first step or second.

time with your love one is more valueble than waiting for your case to move @NVC

When NVC received the case, will they send any notice to you and update the case number? How can you know NVC gets the case and what is the case number?

We never got anything back, not fromt he embassy nor from the Immigration officer at POE. We really didn't care because some documents had an expiration date of 1 year and the others are pretty easy to get copies of.

Diana, we are Jan. I-130 filers, get NOA1 on 2/8. We have done the Birthday/Divorse Notation last Nov., how long do this two documents expires?

Base on current CSC Timeline( they are on 7/29 ), we may get our NOA2 in July. I am worry the birthday/divorse notation may expires. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi, I am Jan. I-130 petitioner for wife and baby, got wife NOA1 from CSC, but no NOA1 for baby though Check was cashed, the numbers on the check was not clear enough to figure out.

We called 800 numbers, but all we hear is computer voice, never bring us to know the number. How can you talk with a person on the phone?

My husband called customer service to inquire about when to expect the receipt and they told him that he should wait up to 15 weeks to get it.They just told him what's already written on their website.I hope it doesn't take that long because we haven't filed 129F yet and we are not sure what to do next.If it takes that long for NOA1to arrives then there is no point in filing 129F.Well, we'll just have to wait and see.Good luck to all of you guys at your journeys.

Jeca, we need you help to find which telephone number your husband called. We filed I-130 for wife and baby at the same time on 1/8 and get NOA1 for Wife on 2/8, we did not get NOA1 for baby even the check was cashed too. The numbers on the back of check is terrible and we fail to figure it out. Call 800 service but all the computer voice, no people serves there, we need some help on how can we find out the number. Husband home and only find NOA1 for wife, dated Feb.08( check was cashed on 2/12 ) , there is no NOA1 for our baby even her check was cashed at the same time. I am guessing her number is next to my number, and load into USCIS web and find the guessing number do exist, but not sure if it belongs to her. Husband call 800-375-5283 but does not sort out anything.

Does any expert now how to find out the NOA1 number? Is the only way is talk with CSC ? Anyone know CSC direct number with someone there talk to you ?

Our check was cashed today. Sent to Chicago on 1/8 . As husband is on business travel , we do not know if NOA1 arrives. Do not know which service center our files goes.
