Long long time waiting makes me sensative and thinks about negative issues now.

I want with my husband soon but do not want leave my daughter behind.

If my case ( I-130 )is approved, will my daughter's case( I-130 ) be approved at the same time since we submit at the same time? Is there any government web site mention about this ?

If her case is stuck, I can not leave her .

Can someone give us any direction?

YAY!! Our case was forwarded today to the colombian embassy!! I guess I just have to wait now to see if there is a packet tomorrow or if todays packet that was sent is it!! Yay!!

One question, how can you know which tracking number( from NVC to Embassy ) belong to your case since there is no link except destination? Do we need call NVC and find out when do they send out? Thanks!

I was approved today on my I130 case because

i requested to be expedited since i have a medical condition and

my parents are moving to the US and i will be alone here.

Now i have a question regarding how can i ask to the NVC to be expedited.

I was calling to the NVC but they just dont have operators available and the phone system

just kicks me out to the automated call center!

Any help and tips will be appreciated!

Touch showing again on 3/28/08, two touches in two days on my I129F, not sure what to make of this. According to the new processing dates they are working on much earlier ones than mine. My NOA1 wasnt until this month because I had forgotten a signature the first time I sent it and they sent it back to me. Im so hoping this is good news, the waiting is so hard.

Jan. filers cheer up! One Dec. person who filed on 12/24 at CSC get approved today! I ask question there asking if he gets any touch before approved. Sounds like no touch after NOA1.

Maybe it's our turn next month.

Holy #######! I just got an email saying that our I-130 petition was approved and our NOA2 was mailed today!!!!!

I didn't expect this for some time yet! I hope that you guys see yours soon too and I really hope this isn't some weird USCIS website bug!

Just the though of that possibility makes me sick to my stomach!

Its a wonder anything actually got done in Iraq 2005! No I'm kidding, I really love the fact that our relationship started with me being able to support him in a way that he needed at the time.

One of the things that I actually enjoy about this whole process is becoming educated in the strange and unpredictable ways of the USCIS. I'm definitely a VJ'er for life now and can't wait till I'm in the position to offer some pearls of wisdom to newbies joining our ranks.

Stefanie! What a strange turn of events you have had, I hope your Husband returns home safe, he's in our thoughts. I'm sure the last thing you expected to happen when you were going through the K1 process would be that you'd end up back in your home country!

I hope that it means will get a speedy approval but not holding my breath, I'm in my final year of a 4 year degree and should graduate in July so August would be perfect. Where in Atlanta are you heading Sarah? I'm bound for Gwinnett Country, most probably Lilburn. I can't wait to live near Stone Mountain and the World of Coke!! (simple pleasures)

I agree, Stefanie, that's quite ironic that you ended up back in your home country ..... mind you, it's probably nice to be near family and friends while your Husband is in Iraq .... our prayers are with you both.

Well Bex, I'm going to be close to Fort Gillem/McPherson ..... therefore, very much Atlanta .... it'll make a change from Fort Benning and Columbus.

I haven't had the chance to go to Stone Mountain yet, it's definately something to look forward to.

Lucky you being at the end of your degree, I've just had to give mine up following illness which meant I missed too much work to keep up (Engineering) .... couldn't face starting again in October (was only in 1st year), but may go back in 2 years ... and commute every 10 weeks ..... 3 year UK degree and cheaper fees ..... as opposed to 5 year US degree and extortionate costs ..... hmmm let me think about that.

So, back to work for me for a while until USCIS pull their finger out and process me ..... all things happen for a reason ....

Got a touch today 03/25/2008. I've checked my portfolio everyday for the past month and was expecting to see the same dates again. Funny how a change in a date can give hope until I started thinking I'd probably get a RFE in the mail next week; maybe not. Maybe it just fell into the floor and they had to put all the pages back in order except for the 1st page of the I129f form which is still under their coworker's desk.

At least you know the still have your paperwork and didn't lose it, even if they did just used it as a coaster for their coffee. How many touches so far? I've only got one. I want to be touched again.

How many January peeps have been touched? I have had no touches since my app was placed in the system, hope I'm not alone. If I'm going to get an RFE for my name issue or the wrong size passport photo I sure hope it's within the next 2 months or I won't be here to deal with it... It would be especially frustrating if it were for my name issue since the only way I could fix it would be to go to the government office in KTM with my name change court order and beg them to change my name on the marriage certificate - there's nothing I can do about it here.

The 2 Novembers filer approvals gave me a bit of hope .... and my instincts keep shouting at me saying I should be getting on with my preparations to leave the U.K. .... Looking at the timeline, their I-130 was filed in September 2007 and not January eventhough their check was cashed in January 2008.

yea i think they applied the I-130 in Sept 07', but then decided to go for K3 and sent the I-129F in Jan. maybe ??

Neither of us get any touch since NOA1.

I see someone whose K3 filed in Jan.08 got approved today.

Maybe K3 is better.

How about the A Register number on I-864 form Part 2 item# 6 ? Is it USCIS receipt number or NVC case number?

This number is on your NOA2 directly under the Petitioner's name, above the Beneficiary's name

This is a frequently asked question. The alien will not have an A# until after you file the petition. Later when adjusting status from the visa, the G-325A is used again and the alien will have a number.

Only exception is if the alien was in the USA before like on a student or work visa, and in that case the may have one from the prior residency.

FAQ: 3.9.1....On form G-325A, where can I get the file number started with "A-" ( it is the far right box of the first row of boxes) for both me and my fiance. Also in the last box with the heavy border how would I put my fiance's alien registration number there while she has none. Can I just leave it blank.

Hi, when you use Shortcut to generate DS-3032 sheet, did you write down the Case Number at the CENTER on the top of the box says "Place Barcode Strip Here Before Mailing to the National Visa Center "? There is not too much space to write .

After the Barcode print out, where should we glue the barcode on this DS-3032? Does the place matter?

you dont need to email that letter. just write to them and tell them whoe you want your agent to be and their address...there is a sample some where here on vj of a letter to use. just put your case number in the subject line of your email.

Coolgt, Guangzhou is next step after NVC, how can NVC send you Guangzhou form ( your first link ) file? Are you sure you get from NVC and need send back to NVC ? This is my big concern as I do not know which files I will get from NVC and which files need send back to NVC when use Shortcut on DS-230.

Yes my case has been complete and and move to Guangzhou.

I am not in china, my wife does. It will take Guangzhou about 2-3 months to send her the p3-p4 form anyway.

I don't have anything beyond NVC. If you follow the list above it should be good for medical and interview.

Guangzhou just want you to reply the letter they send you that you want to immigrate.

and yes the EMS label has to be (Beneficial name and address) i don't know if u have to pay it in advance or not.

Since i am not in China i don't know. You may check the post office to see if you want to advance paid or not.

as you said k1 may be stuck at custom. my case is not k1 visa. it an CR1//IR1

so i don't know if that help speed the process not stuck as custom as well.

just hope to get interview in June or july then i will be happy

Customs and consulate treat them all the same, 3-4 months NVC to Consulate.

The VJ timelines are not as through as for K-1, so don't paint a very accurate picture.

How can know which DHL tracking number belong to our case?

Does NVC use the EMS ( or DHL ) label we put in the mail under the DS-230 ? I do not understand the label which we should put into the Mail to NVC with DS-230.

China embassy is standard processing. I wish it appointment post though. It will be a lot easy than waiting from the embassy it self.

It would take forever to get an embassy letter since there are alway backlog and sometime paper stuck at custom. or they store them at their warehouse until your case is call. as for appointment post you know when your appointment is and make sure everything is right.

i wish that this option change in the future for all the hassle that everyone else might have.

You mentioned in the NVC mail, you got a check list froM GUZ Embassy stating the documents they want , do we need return this check list to NVC ? Can you scan this check list for reference ?

For the EMS Labels, do we need write Beneficial name and address on it and pay in advance ? I am living in China but I do not know how to pay in advance and not mail .

I was so so upset these days as I fail to talk to my husband for two days for the mistake on MSN. Terrible missing, we can only stay together three times every year, as both of us need work. Get impatience I am .

just to clearly something. Jame's shortcut is for everyone want send ds230 to NVC.

You want me to post what received from NVC. that is what i post above

sometime it doesn't include in jame's shortcut.

stuff need to send back to NVC is really simple

ds230 part 1 sign and make sure question 20 and 22 have word "Present"

2 photos

photo copy of passport (your spouse in china not you) data sheet

EMS label (you don't have to send one, I am not, i just send the regular label with spouse address)

cover letter ( james shortcut)

this is what i send out. i also print out my case number and tape it to all the page( except cover page) on the top right hand

make a photo copy of all page the case number look like it print in there

and sign the DS230 put your case and name on the back to the photos send it to NVC

that is what you really to send back to NVC anyway

But, I think cover letter is the letter we write to NVC stating who we are and what documents are included in the mail, and no shortcut.

Cover sheet is a letter from NVC with Barcode and " You MUST RETURN THIS PAGE along with the requested documents to:

this is from the letter from Guangzhou that include with my ds230

now the check list

1. mailing address (EMS) I think they try to save money and make u paid for the EMS fee. I didn't send them the EMS but the regular label with my spouse mailing address.

2. passport

3. two photos

4. translation (assume birth, police, divorce and all other certificate)

5.birth certificate.

6. if birth certificate not obtain, obtain notarized with both parent name and your name with full birthday and birth place

7 police certificate.

8. court paper (no need)

9. military record. (no need)

10. support evidence (yes you have to submit i864, the same one that you submit to NVC with all the evidence)

11. marriage certificate.

12. original document

13. custody paper (if you have children)

14. resume (no need)

15 visa extension notice. (if you have too)

that is all from the list, it also said you you just submit 1 copy of each documents when interviewed. so i guess just get what you can. and also make sure you obtain 2 or more copy of original because they want it.

Coolgt, no questions on I-864 .

For DS-230, still not clear, what should be include in the mail to NVC :

1. Write a nice cover letter to them .

2. DS-230 Form ( Part 1 with signature and Part 2 without signature )

3. Barcode sheet

4. Supporting documents ( Mentioned above ) and 2 pieces of photos.

Is there anything else NVC SEND TO US and we have to RETURN BACK to NVC ? No EMS Labels, right ? I want make sure I am 100% understand so that I do not make mistake. Help to answer this two question.

It seems we need return one copy of the original NVC cover letter of the check list, how does this paper look like? Can you scan the one you got from NVC for reference ?

James did not mention about this check list sheet from NVC in his shortcut 2.0.

you paid for the ems label, send it in with your ds230. i think guangzhou try to save money on the ems mail to you

i-864 and ds230 bar code is different.

since ds230 you need to send the letter and the bar code bar to NVC for them to process.

i864 you only need to send the bar code sheet

EMS labels, yes or no ? I get confused.
