    Listening to Laopo is always a good idea but she may not always be the best source of US Immigration information.

    NVC complete to immigrant visa interview in Guangzhou runs about five to seven months.

    I read about something about P3 & P4 but still have no idea about them.

    What documents are included in P3 package and what do we should send back to Guangzhou Embassy?

    What is P4? When do we need get medical inspection? Right before Visa Interview? So many questions, thanks a lot for your help.

    DS-3032 For a child

    Can someone tell me how to write email regarding DS-3032 for a child? I have search the forums and the question has been asked before, but when I look in the search results I am not able to find it. Thanks!

    Hi, I am in the same situation as you face . I have asked this question on this blog, it seems parent who is the leagal guardian should write email to determine who act as child's agent.

    Child can not write email to NVC .

    Godo question. I think, as a petitioner, you can write NVC and tell them you want to be your child's choice of agent, since the child has no way of emailing NVC. Provide you and your child's names, addresses, date of births.

    I have decided to let child write email to NVC and I add my comments at the bottom stating my name, DOB, I am the mother and legal Guardian and I agree what she does to pick my husband as the agent.

    Let's see if it works.

    Lotofpaitence, this is great information to us. I have saved it and revise the cover letter to NVC for I-864 to attention CRM AOS.

    Does your NOA2 has the Alien Register Number on it? How can you find the Alien Register Number that is need on I-864 form? I could not find so that I put N/A on I-864, do not have 100% confidence now.

    Anyone who knows where can I find my Alien Register Number? Thanks!

    Lucy, don't use my format. That's just informational purpose only. Your barcode sheet will be generated when you pay the AOS fee online. Please use that. I wanted to say not to use James shortcut template.

    Also, for A# of the beneficiary, I put "NONE", though my apporval notice had A# for beneficiary. It is just my wish to put "NONE". I am under the impression that A# will be used after she really becomes immigrant. Again, it is just my wish only.

    I see.

    Do not know why USCIS gave A# for some case on Approval Notice and my case have none.

    Here is the fresh one seeks your help.

    So, we can print out I-864 or DS-230 Barcode cover sheet after online payment paid and accepted? We need not wait for the mail from NVC, neither do we need do James' shortcut on the barcode cover sheet, right ?

    That's correct. You do not need to wait for NVC to send you the mails. As soon as you can verify that your I-864 and/or DS-230 have been generated by calling NVC, you can overnight the package(s) to NVC with your printed barcode cover sheet(s) online. The option to use the online cover sheet or James's Shortcut one is up to you. I created both of my barcode sheets from James's method. Good luck!

    Need help, I-864EZ or I-864?

    Yes you can still use I-864EZ, because you are sponsoring only one immigrant at this time.

    From the actual I-864EZ form.

    The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition.
    So, yes you may have noted their children on the I-130 but they are not immigrating, I-130 has no derivative status for children, in order for them to immigrate they need a separate I-130 filed for them.

    YuAndDan, so we can not use I-864EZ since my husband is sponsoring both of me and my daughter and we have our seperate I-130 ? Thanks for your help.

    The USCIS randomness continues!!

    I just received a letter from them today. I opened it looking for what additional information was requested and it says APPROVED!!!!!

    4/22. The day of my only touch beyond entry into the system. No e-mail (yes I am signed up and yes I have received other notices from them... password changes, etc....) And when I log on the system it still says "Current Status: Case received and pending." Go figure.

    So yay for me and yay for the CSC but I am so annoyed that there are so many people who applied before me who are still waiting. PLUS I leave for Bulgaria in 2 weeks since I quit my job to go wait with my husband.... I was prepared for everyone else to get through first... processed in order of receipt, right?!?!?! Mine was received Jan 9.

    hahaha maybe that's the way to make the process go faster, just totally uproot your life prepared to wait 8 months for USCIS approval and it will come 5 months earlier!

    Let's hope this signals an upturn in processing. Shocking beyond belief!!

    NVC Online Payment System with Pictures

    hey guys I posted this question earlier...could anyone shed some light on this...

    -- I have a question in reference to I-864 and DS 230 after I use the online bill payment. is there any dependency on DS-230 for I-864? (it doesn't seem that way from the NVC flowchart). Could I send DS-230 as soon as the barcode sheet is available via online payment method after my payment for IV bill is processed. (From looking at the other posts, this could be 2-3 days after mailing out my I-864)

    There is no dependecny of Ds230 with I-864 as it seems with the NVC. My DS230 was generated before NVC processed my I-864 forms. However you cannot send the DS230 forms in until the automated system says it is generated which seems to be after they received payment of IV bill annd payment of AOS fee bill. So...DS230 generation is dependent on paying the bills not on processing the AOS forms.

    Hi, all, I find my case is approved today. I need some help regarding the NVC online payment. Are there two invoices numbers, one for AOS , one for IV Fee? If IIN means Immigration Invoice Number, what is called AOS invoice?

    This blog helps me so much, I could not believe what can I do without reading this blog.

    I am very excited today but also tortured as I fail to get NOA2 for my daughter.

    I-130 Approved

    Hi, get a email from CRIS stating my case is approved, and approval notice was sent on 4/23. There is no touch before approval. We did no expediate . No I-129F either.

    I am excited now but also worry about my daughter's case, we filed at the same date in the same mail, but I did not see her NOA2 . Husband will call CSC tomorrow to check.

    So, since CSC is handling on Jan. case, how can they put the timeline say they are in Aug.?

    Hope USCIS moving quickly .

    Child Interviews IR-1/CR-1

    Ok,..I didn't have to do anything as i have my greencard already.

    But I'll tell you what happened with my girls today.

    Our appointment was at 10am. We got there at 9am, and were allowed in straight away, after getting a sequence number, then going through security.

    There is a man near the front door inside the second building, who asks to see your sequence number. Ours started with a "W". From that he knew that we were there for Immigrant Visas.

    We were instructed to go pay the fees at I think it was window 23, then take a seat, and wait for our number to be called again. Our number was then called to go to window 22?, and hand over the ds-230 part II, and one photo for each, as well as the girls passports. We were then given a big brown envelope, and an instruction sheet. We had to purchase stamps for the envelope from a machine in the lobby, and sort the required documents according to the list.

    We were then called up to window 21 and asked to hand over the affidavits and supporting documentation for that, as well, as birth certificates, plus a copy each. She asked me about the custody letter that had been written by the girls biological father.She also asked if we had had medicals that morning, and I said, No, they were completed on the 25th Feb. She went, Oh, and said I'll be right back. she got back about 2 minutes later with the medicals in her hot lil hand, and apologised for them not already being in the file. She then explained about the passports being stamped upon entry to the states, and that is valid to use to come and go till the green cards arrive. Also explained about not opening the 2 brown envelopes, that will be inside the big one we placed stamps on. She also said the passports will be inside the envelope they provided, and not inside the other envelopes, so they will be readily acessible. I said, it's ok, I understand about that, as I have been through the K1 visa process, and she smiled and said, ok, thats all take a seat, and your number will be called again.

    We were then called to window 17, and the consular officer asked each of the girls their names, so he knew who was who. He then asked my husband ( the petitioner), to sign the DS230 part II on behalf of the kids, as they were under 16.

    He then asked the girls to then place their fingers on the biometric reader, and took their fingerprints.

    He had a quick shuffle through the paperwork, then said, OK, all is good we will be issuing the visas. We will send it all out as explained previously by my comrade. You should have it in about 5 working days.

    Then wished us a good day, and that was it!

    Not a single question for the kids, except, who is who!

    We were walking out the door at 1010am!

    So you filed for parent & child at the same time. Did u get two NOA2 at the same time? Also NVC case completed at the same time for two cases? Interview at Embassy same time?

    I am worrying how can I do if I get NOA2 ( one for myself, one for my daughter ) at different time.

    December 2007 I-130 filers

    Ive been trolling the site but I had to post.

    i130 recieved 12/16

    NOA1 recieved 2/4

    NOA2 recieved 4/11 (well 4/16 it just showed up in the mail today.)

    I am frankly shocked! I was actually starting to take steps to move down to Australia to wait on the process and I came home today and was amazed!

    My husband wrote the email stating he was the father and he wanted me (USC) to be the agent for his daughter. He gave NVC the same information for me that he gave for his own email. Regarding his daughter's email NVC replied to him that since he was not the petitioner or the applicant, they cannot discuss things with him. His daughter's IV Bill arrived the same time as his IV Bill.

    So, your husband write the email to NVC to assign you as the agent of his daughter's case? NVC accept this email and nothing is wrong since you got both of the IV Bill for Husband & Daughter?

    Will the new H1-B processing starting from April 1st for the fiscal year 2008, delay our I-130 and I-129F applications ???

    Already Service Center is piled up, and on top of that another 65,000 new H1-B processing...

    Sorry, what is H1-B ? Why you say will delay our I-130? Thanks.

    The H1-B is the work permit visa, and is currently being worked on pretty much as they arrive by Vermont (no delays for them) ..... they obviously care more about these than our I-130's ..... also, I understand the work permit people get to bring their families over within 2-4 weeks or something :protest::ranting:

    So, the more H1-B's, logically, the further behind we I-130 people go :cry:

    Should I take my son to go to interview?

    Ihave a son 16 yrs old, he also need immigrant visa. Should I take him to go interview ?

    If an approved I-130 is at the Consulate and your son has an interview appointment, yes. Each immigrant visa applicant must have their own approved petition and visa interview scheduled. If no I-130 was filed for your son, he's not needed at the interview and will not get a visa. In that case, have your spouse file that I-130 right away.

    Hi, another one seeks help. My husband filed I-130 for my daughter ( 16 years ) and I, will the two cased be mostely approved at the same time? None of us can leave each other behind in China.

    Is there any other way to get a visa if my case approved but her case pending? What is the quickest way for her to get a visa even it is tentatively?
