TS26cam got a reaction from 2022 in Additional Evidence for Marriage-Based Green Card Interview
Jus back from interview.
The officer was happy with our docs.
He hinted that they were in order but didn't offer a straight approval.
We messed up question and answers for silly questions like when was the last time we ate out. And last movie watched and what was it about.
Mickey 17 was very difficult for me to answer for a sci fi plot line.
Fingers crossed now.

Yes that’s my daughter. We are planning to fill the permission to work form today. It sucks to pay $260 for it but the SSN is necessary and I don’t see why we should wait until the green card arrives. But if you got it so quickly I am now in doubt.
the case in the Uscis page says we have passed the interview stage and they are since September at decision stage, due in 12 months -presumably 12 from filing for AOS.
However I do not understand the processing times statistics well enough to determine if we are due soon or not.
in which case if we are due in two or three months there is no point in filing for her to have SSN.
she attended college and if she has had SSN, she would have qualified to receive $400 a month as an incentive.
Had I known this from the beginning I would have filed for both immediately 🤪

Just left the interview. I was allowed to go in with my husband. The only question we were asked was how we met - otherwise, he went through the series of yes/no questions from the I-485 and let us know he’d be approving our case today! Didn’t ask for any of the evidence we had brought or anything. (Granted, I have been uploading evidence of our marriage and comingled finances gradually, so they already had everything I brought.)
All in all, very easy and pleasant experience. The guy was super helpful and nice. Now just to wait for the card in the mail!

I think your green card appointment or receipt will come very soon. I noticed those with a i765, either they have auto approvals or interview much faster than those who didn't apply for i765. I didn't apply as I wanted the green card and apply to jobs. I applied in Aug, my son in Sep, we had our interview 1 Apr and approval 2 Apr. Green card came in the mail the following week. The k2 teen, are u referring to your teen that traveled w you on k1?

Didn't need the marriage certificate as copies were sent during the application of i485. Officer didn't ask for any other proof as he could tell that we were genuine. He asked questions like that was the last place we ate out and last movie watched. Both we forgotten.

TS26cam got a reaction from OldUser in Fiance or Marriage Visa in 2025 ? Pros and cons?
If your relationship is stable, pls choose marriage visa. I did k1 and the lead time, costs, adjustments requires alot of patience. Can't work, can't get bank account, can't travel etc.

TS26cam got a reaction from Redro in How much time given when letter receipt till medical checkup and interview
Jus a quick followup. There was a backlog of cases for approval and I had my interview mid March after personally emailing the embassy and a lucky slot was available. My 129f expired, but I emailed the embassy to ask and they said it's ok as there are no avail interview slots. Medical done 31 Jan, date to travel to the US by 31 Jul.
Thanks once again!

Airports are open 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year. Immigration and customs officers are on duty to let you in round the clock. No need to catch a flight that arrives during office hours!

No. Select any flight that works for you. CBP will be there round the clock for your convenience.

California service center.
Just saw this morning when I went in to check case status as I do every morning. I couldn't believe it. I resubmitted the case # three times because I was in so much shock. Haha!

TS26cam reacted to kkamiiiii in NOVEMBER 2022 I-129F K1 FILERS
Hi,
I'm trying not to obsess about this as the current process time is 15.5 months so we'll be lucky if anything happens before February/March 2024. Prayfully it will. 🙏🏾
Timeline:
I-129F Sent - October 28, 2022
I-129F Received - November 7, 2022
I-129F - Notice Date - November 10, 2022 (NOA1)
