Has this call occurred yet? I hope not, as I believe this is a scam. There is no NVC “Outreach Team” that will phone people to pursue their case — they have plenty of work without doing that! There are also several typos/non-standard English errors in the short e-mail.
I would be very cautious about providing the information that they say you will need to provide for the call. With that info, they can be “you” and contact NVC and get other info about your family that they could use for fraudulent purposes. At a minimum, I would ask them for a number you could call back to confirm it is actually from NVC before talking to them. They called this morning, and she had all the financial details of the case and didn't ask me any questions other than why we haven't submitted the financial document they need! She said it was a new project for the cases that hadn't progressed!
I was very skeptical, and I told her my concern. She said you could end the call if you wanted!
I will still inquire to ensure there is no leak from their side, which they are unaware of.
She referred to the box on I864 for net income and told me the exact amount on the form!

So why isn't your sister DQ yet? Has she completed everything needed for NVC? Looks like they were looking through cases and noticed her PD is current but not completed in NVC so they'll try to follow up with you.
She was a bit behind. All her documents are uploaded and accepted, but they ask for the sponsor's tax transcript, which we have requested from the IRS. I uploaded a note about obtaining the document from the IRS. It is almost done and ready. I found it odd that NVC made a phone call like that!

Exactly, so you don’t need the physical card. I travelled internationally several times before I got my card, it was no issue at all. They both serve the same purpose.
The only downside is you can’t have an interview for Global Entry until you have a GC, but that’s not the end of the world and you can still apply for other programs.
good to hear that there won't be any issue with traveling, thank you very much for helping me, I was chasing my tale for a while

Yes, but it doesn’t really matter if you don’t get them until Sept or even later, it’s not like you need them for anything before then. It’s just a pain you have to spend time chasing them but as long as you get them before the beginning of 2025 that’s all good. That is true, but we are planning a summer trip, and I would rather have it even though the visa on our passports is considered a GC for one year.

It'll be a problem with their photos or biometrics I'd think, my daughter had the same thing. So frustrating that they don't contact you to tell you that and you have to wait the 90 days! But helpfully in a month or so's time you'll have an appointment for them to be redone, and once that happens the physical GC will only take a few weeks to arrive.
Good luck.
Oh, I see. On the e-request that I filed, it says they will get back to me by June 20, which means it will take another 2-3 months!! It is frustrating.....

So the status just says ‘payment received’?Yes, it says the payment has been received. If you haven't received it by 90 days, do the e-request, which I did.

No problem. What does the online status say when you check it?It hasn't been issued yet; since it has been more than 90 days, I filed an E-Request. Thanks again!

No, the receipt numbers from when you paid their GC fees. The same receipt numbers you should use to track production and mailing of the cards.
On the email receipt, it will say 'your payment was applied to the following cases', and then list them (assuming you paid all three fees in one go). They'll start with IOE.
That was the catch! Thank you, thank you!!

As above - what does your online status say when you put in the receipt number? No point in chasing it if they have been mailed and you need to take it up with USPS.
Why are you selecting I-90? Have you actually filed an I-90? You should be choosing OS155A.
I guessed to choose I90, but when I selected OS155A, I got the same error! The receipt number is the one on the left corner of my I797 form, right?
Thanks for your response,

What does the online status say when you enter the receipt number? That should tell you if the card is in production, or has been mailed and got lost.
If you get to 90 days and they're still not received, you need to report it here - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc
This is precisely where I entered my info. I chose I90, and the error I am getting is this one:

Just to confirm, you paid for the kids' green cards production, correct?
I did,

I hope someone can help me. I immigrated to the US with my kids in February 2024 and received my green card at the end of March, but my kids have not received theirs yet. Where can I follow up? I tried to do it on the USCIS website, but it won't let me submit with the choice of I-90!
I would appreciate it if anyone could help.

"I need some help, please. I had my interview in September and was asked to send some documents along with my passport, which I sent on November 2nd. After requesting additional documents, the status of my application is now "ready" on the CEAC page. Does this mean that my visa will be issued soon? The box under the updated status says, "Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the US Consulate in Montreal." Is this just a standard message?"
appreciate any insight.

I totally agree! The color, and them keeping the passport is a good sign! And I fully expect to get the visa issued, they have no reason not to - my fiance is definitley eligible.
I just think we have to be realistic and recognize the backlog of cases they have because of covid and hope like hell that they look at our cases soon! Immigration is not a fast process, and requires patience. If you want to be proactive, email the consulate and ask for updates. You might not get a response but it shows them you are waiting for their approval, and wont give up in the face of delays. I email them about every 10-15 days, Stay polite and positive, and ask for an update.
We got this - pressure makes diamonds, and if we can wait out the pressure of long distance ON TOP of the stressfull immigration process then no doubt will have a happy, strong, and resisliant relasionship on the other side.
You are right, but in my case, it is an F3 visa. I have been waiting 15 years! I will email them and stay hopeful. I hope your visa comes very soon. Good luck to all of us.

WOM is Writ of Mandamus, a legal document filed by a lawyer that basically makes a government agency perform its duty under law.
In immigration, it is filed when a case if outside normal proccessing times. HOWEVER, if you got to the Montreal thread (link below), you will see that a lot of people are filling them but they are being dismissed, and may not be worth it. Some people go to court and the judge rules in favor of the consulate even after the case has waited over a year in some cases. This early on in the process, any laywer who offers a WOM as a solution is out for money in my opinion. Thanks for the info:) I understand your point, but shouldn't we make an exception in our cases that we handed our passports to them? it doesn't make sense to ask for your passport if they don't want to issue a visa. also, the color of the 221g slip has a meaning.

I dont see how a laywer can help me, except for file a WOM.
So many WOM are being dismissed until the 6 month time frame, and even then are being discarded.
Ive gotten one response but it was just an awknowledgment that they received the documents we sent.
What the WOM stands for? I googled it and couldn't find anything. Those who got a rejection had sent their passport with the documents. And what was the reason for dismissal? it says on the paper they give us 6-8 weeks:(

Any update? I am now at 11 weeks of waiting
My case shows an update of Nov 16th, but it is still refused! 11 weeks is almost 3 months!! I guess they don't answer your emails. Maybe a lawyer can help?

It means that they are not done adjudicating your visas yet. Once it says "issued," you are good to go.
Thank you very much!

I have seen some posts about this topic but don't know how to find it. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.
My CEAC status was updated yesterday, but it is still set as "refused." I had to send our passports with supporting documents, so I'm unsure what it means now.
Thanks,

How many weeks are you waiting?
One week, I was under the impression that it would take less than a month as they have our passports!! Silly me!
Question about Joint sponser
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
I'm filing my sister's forms for an F3 Visa, and her joint sponsor's documents are not ready yet. I want to change her sponsor, but I can't find an option to remove the current sponsor. I can only add a new one. Is it possible to add the new sponsor and include a written note asking them to remove the original sponsor?
Thanks,
