Well Just saying, but If any CO would angry at you for speaking Spanish incorrectly they would have to be huge hipocrits. Some of those people sound horrible speaking spanish.
-
Well in my case, I translated our Documents so they knew for a fact that I knew spanish. If you go with your fiance, you will get interviewed. Make sure you guys know your stuff, please!
On another note, My wife just got her visa delivered from Domesa. Took 3 Business Days. Thank god.

Hello fellow VJers. Our visa was approved last Thursday. We were the very last interview for the Resident Visa section. Boy was it insane. We had two interviews by to different people. I was interviewed in both english and spanish. Thank God everything went well and we were approved.
Our winning pieces of evidence was when the Consular asked to look and my wifes wedding band to see if my name was engraved on it. It was and it had our wedding date on it. Our visa was approved. I wish the best of luck to everyone, and would advice never to give up, this was my 4th interview. Very tough and painful road, but everything pays off in the end.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Really appreciate it.

Hello all, I just wanted to clear up something. When I filed for the K-1 visa 2 years ago I remember having to send money to my Fiance so that she can pay the visa fee at a bank in Colombia so they could place a red sticker on her passport.
I know I paid the visa fee on the internet for the CR-1 visa. But do I also have to go through that same K-1 process?

Hello all, I finally recieved my interview date for my CR-1 Visa. My interview will take place on July 22nd. I just wanted to know when can my wife get her medical, do we have to wait for Packet 4 like I did when I filed for my K-1?
I also wanted to know how long it takes for the actual visa to be shipped to my wifes home.
-
I just called the NVC and they have confirmed that they received my I-864 and DS-230 documents. Thank God.
-
I would just like to know, at what point can my wife go get her medical, and vaccinations?
She still has some of her vaccinations from when We went through the K-1 route, are those still valid?
-
When I mailed it, I wrote ATTN: CMR and not ATTN: CMR AOS.
Will this be a problem? Should I call the NVC?

Yeah, they're both processed already and show as read. So I can really just print the cover sheets and send the downloaded forms I have? I don't have to wait for them to send it to me?
-
My fiance went to the first interview alone, and they requested that I go. So there you go.
-
Can I send my I-864 and DS-230?
I paid both fees now.

First off thanks to all of you that help on these forums, your help is priceless, I love you guys!!!
Just checked my case status today, and my case was approved on 3/9/2010. I so happy. This is exactly the same timeframe as my K-1 case. I'm going to start to get all the proper forms ready. Just want this to go smoothly this time.
Once again thank you guys.

Hello to everyone in the VJ Universe.
I'd just like to share that I'm once again preparing to file for my wife but this time a K-3 since we're now married. We filed for a K-1 visa and were approved in about 2 months, sent it 3/05/08 and got the approval 5/09/08. About a year we had our interview in Bogota, Colombia but were not approved, which I thought meant that my fiance was denied but I would later find out that wasn't the case. 9 Months later and 3 days after our wedding I received a letter from the USCIS saying that we were once again approved for the K-1 Visa and that all we had to do was call the embassy in Bogota for an interview date! But too little too late, we were already married. So now I'm back in the US after a 6 month stay with my wife in Colombia.
So, the first question I need to ask is if I used an address when I filed the K-1, and now I'm currently living at a different location, do I need to notify the USCIS about that?
I'm also still not sure if I should file the K-3 or go with the CR-1, please help me with some advice for this.

My fiancee and I had two interviews last year, we were denied during the 2nd. The consul told us that in the future we would receive a letter about our petition.
During April, I sent the uscis a letter stating that I wanted to cancel the petition so that I cold marry my fiancee on the 30th of may. We are now married.
We recieved two letter concerning our petition, the first reads:
THIS IS TO ADVISE YOU TJHAT WE HAVE RAFFIRMED OUR PREVIOUS DECISION ON THE ABOVE APPLICATION OR PETITION WHICH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE HAD PREVIOUSLY RETURNED FOR REVIEW.WE HAVE FORWARDED THE CASE BACK TO THE DEPARMENT OF STATE FOR ACTION
and the second reads:
the aboveetition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate.please contac theconsulate with any question about visa issuance , or if you would now like them to forward the petition to a different consulate.thepetitioner can also file form I-824 application for action on an approved application or petition, with this office torequest that we notifyanother consulate of the petitionapproval for visa prosessing purposes.this form is not a visa . when the person this petition is for enters the U.S. based on this visa, he or she will be admitted for ninety ( 90) days in order tomarry the ptitioner, and based on that marriage file for ajustment can be obtained at any local USCIS office or uscis for center. plase attach a copy of this notice to the adjustement application when younfile it. . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------if the petitioner and the fiance (e) DO NOT MARRY WITHIN THESE 90 DAYS,STATUS WILL EXPIRE,AND HE OR SHE WILL BE IN VIOLATION OF THE IMMIGRATION AND NATONALITY ACT IF HE OR SHE DOES NOT DEPART. AN EXTENCION CANOT BE GRANTED.IT IS REQUESTED THAT THE PETITIONER INFORMHIS OR HER LOCAL USCIS OFFICE IF HEVOR SHE DETERMINES THAT THE MARRIAGE WILL NOT TAKE PLACE WITHIN THE 90 DAY PERIOD.PLEASE ATTACH A COPY OF THIS NOTICE TO ANY CORRESPODENCE ABOUT THIS CASE.
Now my questions is if I will have trouble when I file for the k-3 petition, or if anything can be done with th k-1 petition?

Just talked with a lawyer, and he told me to send the letter. Ha! this is like millionaire, when you use up all your lifelines and you still have no clue what the answer is.
-
I recieved a sheet with Dection 212(a)(5)(A) highlighted. It says we didn't provide enough evidence.
This was our second interview, in which I had to get interviewed.
-
Ok, I've heard of a case where a couple was denied their K-1 visa, and then when they went through with a marriage and tried to get the K-3, somehow the beneficiary was banned from entering the United States. This is why I'm worried, and why I want to make sure this doesn't happen to me once I go through the K-3 route.
-
I filed for the I-129F visa. We were denied at the interview. Our case is under review at the USCIS. I just want to cancel it to avoid any future problems.

They thought she was coming here to work and not to marry me.

It took 3 very long years, but thank God everything went well. My wife arrived in New York on Friday the 13th at 9:47 PM. She didn't come out until 11:30 PM. That sounds like they were giving her a problem but that was not the case. I was very nervous because I thought they were giving here a tough time because I wasn't with her. It took her so long to leave immigration because 15 flights apparently arrived at the same time and the lines for the visitors line were insane. My wife told me that they didn't give her a hard time, that everything went pretty fast. They didn't grill her with questions. Now I'm with my wife after 3 years of dealing with this process. Thanks to all who contributed to our dream. This website was a blessing. Thank you and God bless.
