Yes citizen IR usually always takes priority and have much more privileges under the INA US law
I was under the impression that London did them without the prejudice.

I was DQd on the 10th and I’ve got no IL
I guess F2A has different times?

I’m getting concerned that I haven’t seen anyone in January receive a IL?
I think hopefully this week

That would technically mean a waiver because they're not routinely available.
Someone is currently arguing with the London medical office about it.
Do you know what the conclusion was for this?

Exactly they are. I called the GP, 119 and a walk in clinic and they all thought I was a little odd seeking out one for a non vulnerable 6 year old. It's not until I said, well the visa clinic have asked for you to call them to explain that she then booked my daughter in.
Three of us spoke to three rude receptionists at visa medical. They will not accept an email from the CDC neither. As "they haven't had any updates."
What does the CDC email say? Did you contact CDC?
I am intrigued if anyone will get a waiver now; but they should in theory as you pointed out as they are hard to get and not available easily.

And you're right it isn't very popular is it when you look at the stats.
There are quite a few states currently fighting against the covid vaccine mandate so 🤞
I was told off by a few nurses and they thought I was crazy even asking.
This is why I came to this thread when I just read about them stopping and if this stops the requirement. They are like gold dust to get for under 12 years old in the UK.
There is also more complications on how they get recorded on the child's health record too. They don't go in to the vaccination list but in to the gp summary record for under 12 years old. I think this is because they dont have access to the covid pass but it generated via an application.

I mean the CDC website says if the vaccine is not routine offered then you can receive a waiver.
What I don't understand is although it's not routinely offered to under 12's why they're saying they still have to have it. However when the jab is stopped altogether. I really don't think they have an argument or loop hole to avoid giving a waiver anymore.
If it's not available, it's not available.
You can't be an exception just for a visa, that's not an important reason. That's a lifestyle choice. I'd understand it if the USA was high risk and all citizens had to be vaccinated but that's not the case neither.
Exactly!

I do think a lot of place frown on the children's covid jabs and want justification as to why.
I'd be intrigued if someone can get a waiver.
It's been a painful process regarding these.

The UK have dropped covid jabs (1st and 2nd) from next week I believe. What does that now mean will they still be required for children (as they are not freely available now)?
-
I've finally got my GP summary report!
I am just trying to get the kids sorted now.
Thanks for letting me know about the photos.

Thanks!

Yes absolutely you can go ahead and book the medical as long as you can show a print out of an email with your case number on.
The GP summary was a pain for me, it was a 33 page document!. I called the medical office and they said they just need a basic summary showing current medications etc. I managed to print that off myself from my online portal with my NHS doctor. They only need a basic summary. You will need a list of vaccinations from the GP too. I was short of a few vaccines and the medical nurse gave them to me. I needed MMR, Hep B and a polio booster. My arm is sore today 😂.
wow that long
15 minutes ago, shefuk1 said:Oh I know. I had to threaten the manager of my GP service with legal action if they didn't provide my medical records. Took them over 8 weeks.
wow
I assume we need the GP Summary Record? The full printout.
I got the vaccination record from the nurse when I get my MMR and Tetanus done a few weeks ago.
Once I get that I will book the medical.
I was Dq'd on the 10th Jan.
What passport photos do we need just the standard ones as I can't find the measurements for them?
-
I am waiting for interview too. I wasn’t aware we can book the medical without the letter.
I am just trying to get my GP summary at the moment which has been a pain

This FAQ page on the embassy website says
https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/the-interview-2/
Yes. All applicants registered for immigration, including children, are required to visit the Consulate in person for a formal visa interview.
Thanks for clarifying.

I've not received it yet.

Hi,
We have two children and do they need to go to the interview with the parent who is the main beneficiary?
They are both listed on the I-130 and we have submitted al their docs to NVC which have been accepted.
They are both under the age of 11.

Thanks for that timeline. When you get an interview date, you can make your visa medical exam appointment. Then if you are getting shots at the GP (or Boots etc) plan them for about 3 weeks before you have the Visa exam. Then any other Hep doses would be waived for “insufficient time interval”. The Hep B doseing is complicated. The chart says 2, 3, or 4 doses. It depends on the brand you are given. Get one of any brand then get additional waived as explained above. You don’t have to finish the dosing ever. Anything you are missing can also be given at the visa exam for an additional fee..
I see this has been a lengthy process for you. Best wishes for the final bit.
thank you. Yes it’s been very long process! -
How long are F2A interviews taking in London?

Get one with less than 4 weeks before your medical date and they can’t require another because a full 4 weeks have to separate doses. Or pay for it at the medical exam £50.
Please make a profile and timeline so we know what visa you are seeking and your embassy.
Thanks - I've just updated!

You don’t have to repeat all your childhood shots. All you have to get are the ones age appropriate for adults. Take the red book. It used to be accepted at the clinic. See what your GP will give you free from the list below. Some won’t do free for immigration, others do. The flu shot in the UK is for young children and seniors so your GP won’t give that, but the US requires it. You can go to a travel clinic, Boots, or clinics in stores. Get a written record. Or pay the visa clinic on the day.
Here are the shots needed for 19 through 59 years of age:
- Td or Tdap - Tetanus/diptheria/pertussis or get DT, DTP or DtaP and it will be accepted. The latest shot must be no longer than 10 years ago or you need a booster. In the UK they will give Revaxis which is Tetanus/diphtheria +polio. Adults don’t need polio for immigration but that’s the combo available in the UK. They don’t have a Tetanus and diphtheria only jab like Adacel given in the US.
- MMR - (if born in 1957 or later)-Mumps/measles/rubella. It's two doses in your life, but if you get the first dose, and 4 weeks haven't passed by your medical, they will waive the second dose for "insufficient time interval". If you only had one dose as a child, get a second one before the medical.
- Varicella - Not routinely given in the UK. A history of having chickenpox excuses you from the shot. They take your word for it at the visa medical exam. They will also waive the shot in the UK for "not routinely available".
- Influenza - Required during flu season only, October 1 through March 31. If your medical is not during flu season, you don't need it.
- Hepatitis B - required for all applicants up to 59 years old.
- COVID-19 vaccine - Completely vaccinated with primary dose 1&2. No boosters required at this time.(New starting 1-Oct-2021).
How many Hepatitis B injections do we require?
Name change on British passport and US marriage certificate
in United Kingdom

Hey
you can apply for a new passport and in the form wizard they usually ask why your applying and I think there is an option for name change.
You will need to submit your marriage certificate with the old passport.
