  1. Ah yes sorry, it is the husband who is the petitioner, and not sure of the priority date, but they're near the end of processing - Scheduling visa appointment soon. I am jus thinking worst case scenario, since her husband is the petitioner now, what the legal circumstances will be for them once they arrive to the US, if any. And what would happen to my sisters if they did end up divorcing someday.
  2. Hello, I was hoping to get a couple of questions answered - My mother and her husband are petitioning for my younger sisters (petition for alien relative) to come from Philippines to US. Once my sisters arrive, (1 of them under the age of 21, the rest of them above age 21) I was wondering how much "power or control" does my father in law have over my sisters? Can he control where they stay and such? Or in the event of a divorce, what can or will happen to them? -- Or if somebody could direct me to a link or source where I can read more upon this part of immigration law, I just don't know where to find it. Thank you!
