OK, a silly question please, if I may.  What does PD stand for?  Thank you.

That's only an actual requirement if you need it to track name changes.  Example Mary Jones, marries Mr. Smith, then divorces him.  Later she marries Mr. Bailey.  Her divorce mentions Mary and James Smith divorcing but does not mention the name Mary Jones at all.  How does the Consulate know the Mary Jones on the Birth Certificate, Mary Smith on the divorce decree, and Mary Bailey are the same person?  Answer:  By providing that first marriage certificate.  If you were in this situation, you would have needed that marriage certificate for USCIS already, for the same reason.  If you didn't, it's not needed now either.

Six months is a proper expectation, for receipt and then some months for the Notice of intent to Revoke NOIR to arrive.  You will then have the opportunity to respond.

In these situations, the actual reasons for denial you already know about, should be used to determine whether to wait and respond, or to withdraw and file again now.  Without knowing those facts, no further meaningful advice can be provided, except to have the applicant write a detailed report (verbatim) of everything that happened or was said (both ways) by anybody, while at the Consulate.

The e-mail IS the "letter".  They won't mail a paper letter.  Just print the e-mail.  Congratulations.

    Our experience:
after 16 months under AP after CR1 interview, status was changed to IR1 when they (Casablanca US consulate) called to ask for an updated medical.
visa was issued two weeks after they received the medical.
    Good luck

It's under review, so probably bumped into another queue.  There will not likely be any IR1 status change.  They should issue the correct visa anyway. If not, mention it upon entry.  If a two year green card stating CR1 arrives, file an I90 with no fee to correct it.

Our petition approval notice appeared on the USCIS page today. Timeline updated accordingly. A relief to be moving on to the next step!

    Hello all,

Our I-130 was approved on 9/29/23, after we originally filed online on 11/14/22.  The NOA1 notice was generated by Texas SC but the Approval notice (NOA2) was from Nebraska (I’ve updated my timeline accordingly).

As with a few of the more recent posts, I didn’t receive any email update but was “periodically” checking the online portal (aka, every day! Ha!), and spotted the approval notice under the “documents” tab.  Case status was also updated to “case is being actively reviewed by USCIS” on Sept 29, 2023, so I assume they’ve updated the “status” tab on the same day as posting the approval notice.

Seems like I-130 processing is generally speeding up / all the Service Centers seem to be on roughly the same timeline, although the NVC process seems to be taking a little longer at the moment.  At least step 1 is now complete.

Best of luck all - hopefully not too long to wait for the majority of the Nov 2022 filers!

It depends on whether both your married and maiden name appear on them.  If they worked for USCIS, then they are probably ok.

Both, they need to see that prior marriages have been properly dissolved.

For a spouse visa, they need to see the current marriage certificate.  Not sure the source of your quote above, but if the marriage certificate is in the local language where the interview takes place, it does not need to be translated.

Previous marriage certificates are only needed if they are the only way to track name changes.

@Keyra30 Thank you. Pre Covid still took a year four months huh. I am very happy for you and your husband. We will be happy with a year and four months post Covid. Good luck with your parents and your younger brother also. 😃

LincKay reacted to Chancy in Travelling on tourist visa whilst waiting for I-130
There's no CBP pre-clearance at Heathrow.  The airline staff won't care that there is a pending I-130.  It's a different story with the CBP officer at the US airport after landing.

If you're worried about being denied US entry, fly through Dublin or Shannon instead, where there is CBP pre-clearance.  Even before boarding the plane, you'll know if CBP will let you in to the US or not.

Thanks for making this topic @Kayesidi, indeed, I'm experiencing the same problem. Similar number for me, IOE+10 digits.

If anyone has any experience with this or has any advice it would be most welcome!
