My Husband entered the U.S. illegaly in 2000. He was a minor, therefore he qualified for political asylum. Less than a week he received his work permit.
We met in 2005, we got married in 2006. I petitioned him in 2006, but in 2007 the judge denied his asylum and gave him voluntarly departure.
I was pregnant, first child. It was awful a horrible nightmare. Hubby had to choice but left to Guate on February 10, 07.
I was very worried because my hubby case was complete on Agust 22, 07 no interview yet! About 9 months that I have not seen hubby and my son was about 6 months.
Finally, I received an appointment letter from the consulate January 22, 08. I went to Guate on January 18, 08 be by his side, very HAPPY!
Interview went well, but hubby had a DUI in 06. Hubby had a second medical exam and Feb 5 went to consulate and they approved Visa. Hubby picked up his Visa on Feb 7 and came home on Feb 9, 08.
Thank you lord! Hubby home, FINALLY!
