Hello everyone! I am a European and my fiance is a US citizen. We have applied for a K1 fiance visa for me last september (2021) when the borders were still closed. We still do not have any news and it is taking more time than expected. Therefore, it has been advised to us to get married on a tourist visa because the K1 visa might still take a lot of time. It was advised to us to enter the country on a tourist visa, wait one month and get married. Then apply for a green card adjustment, advocating that the idea was to visit but we got married unplanned. Is there a risk in getting married on a tourist visa (and apply for a green card in order to stay in the country), especially having a pending K1 visa application ? Is there a risk of getting expulsed of the US when overstaying a tourist visa being married to a US citizen, waiting for a green card? I really hope someone would help me!!! Agatha
