  1. Beth,

I agree with Sarah. Either way but keeping the paper trail. I didnt think Cairo was tough...I recall Morocco being more difficult. Wish you guys the best of luck. I love Cairo in May!! We did the K1 and were done in about 6-7 months. In that time I did visit twice but I had also been there long periods of time before filing.

Off topic...that pic creeps me out...

  3. Happy Friday MENA (F)

It's a sushi weekend for me! Today: Lunch: Sushi Dinner: Sushi Sunday: Dinner: Sushi :wow:

All dates with friends...:thumbs::devil: Can you tell I'm excited about Sushi!

We are trying a new place tonight for dinner its called Saketini's. They have a reverse happy hour after 9pm (its a bday party for a friend) and sushi and drinks are super cheap...I think I will be in trouble.:luv:

Also Saturday night we are throwing a surprise bday party for our neighbor. So I'm excited about that too....so many bday parties this wknd.

Hope everyone has a great wknd and that Monday stays far away! :P

  4. Sandra,

You're an amazing and strong woman. Do what's best for you and your son. There are too many people who think that those type of behaviors will correct themselves once a partner is here. It's very untrue and many of us have seen the fall out after the partners arrive so standing up to it now is your safest route.

You are very sweet person and you have many friends here who support your decision. (F) I believe getting the divorce in the US would be the best avenue to follow.

Best of luck and I'm sure we will catch up soon.

  5. I can't see any of these from work :crying: However, I wanted to share the words of my all time favorite Led Zep song! There are not a lot of lyrics...but beautiful lyrics none the less. I love this song. :luv: Just the guitar alone makes the song worth listening to. I especially like the pause before he says/sings "And I do." That just seems to add to the song even more.

If someone else can add the actual video too...that would rock! Here are the words:

    Tangerine

    Measuring a summer's day

I only finds it slips away to gray

The hours, they bring me pain

    Tangerine, Tangerine

    Living reflection of a dream

I was her love, she was my queen

And now a thousand years between

Thinking how it used to be

Does she still remember times like these?

    To think of us again?

    And I do

    Tangerine, Tangerine

    Living reflection of a dream

I was her love, she was my queen

And now a thousand years between

    :luv::luv:

  6. I remember teething. Thank god with Nour we never knew. We would being giving her a bath and a new tooth would just appear...she was never cranky. Now Zain on the other hand...he started popping teeth in so quickly that he was soooo clingy. But they were done with teething before I blinked so it was painless for us...again, thank god! LOL :P

The baby got her second tooth this weekend. She is being super cute today. I still don't want to be at work though.

  7. In all seriousness though, even though I wasn't thru the CASA embassy we went the Cairo which has been known for high fraud/denials, etc.

I believe part of the reason we were approved so quickly was because we had known each other a while, I was not an overnight revert "lucky strike to lucky hijab", my husbands is fluent in English and we didn't over do the proof just enough to provide our daily communication and life. I do feel that at times people can go overboard and these types of knee jerk reactions (converting or moving overseas right after meeting someone) can cause doubt in a CO's mind.

Then again, as someone pointed out...how many Americans do you know that have met a bf or gf and moved in with them quickly or changed their lifestyle for a new beau? It happens. Hmmm...now I've confused myself more!
