We are also applying for IR1 from SG. We just got our NOA2 on Dec 2. Nothing from the NVC yet, but we are not in a hurry.
We won’t be ready to move until June 2024, so more curious how long to drag our feet before visa application. NOA2 is good for 12 months.

No I understand that. I read that they asked if the person arriving has cash or credit cards even if it's not over 10,000 when they go to customs. I'm not sure if this is just for visitors or if it's for K1 applicants
The $10,000 rule applies to everyone, US citizens, visitors, green card or K1 alike.

As long as it’s $10,000 or less, it is fine, nothing is needed. If above $10,000 it is also fine, but additional paperwork (declaration) is needed. Failure to declare above $10,000 is both risky and dumb, it’s not like they are going to tax you on it!

I-864w fee waiver?
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted · Edited by ujongjoe
I know it’s exceptionally rare, but my alien spouse can be credited with >40 credits of my social security because we have been married >10 years and my US employer abroad required me to participate in social security the entire time.
We are about to begin NVC processing and step 1 is pay fees for I-864 AOS. Since we are exempt from AOS, is there any way to avoid the fee? It is clear that no fee is required with USCIS, but NVC is under DOS and it’s not very clear if payment is required.
Appreciate the advice!
