Discrimination will not be acceptable to the court and would be replaced by the court ordered regulation. Fighting this is stupid but would ultimately serve Americans well. If the Appeals court decision is challenged it goes to the Supreme Court and then ALL states will have to implement non-discrimatory concealed carry. I expect we would also see reciprocity coming from the SCOTUS. Presently there are 5 states that still have racial discrimination in their concealed carry laws. Illinois was the only state affected by the Appeals court decision because the other states in that district already respect American's freedoms.
The racists in California, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Hawaii do not want to be told they can no longer discriminate against American's rights. Alabama also has a discrimnatory law but by court order issues concealed carry licenses to anyone without a criminal background. In effect, Alabama is a non-discriminatory state.
This is brought to you by the "weak" NRA which Obama could not beat in Congress. The NRA has already filed lawsuits in the cases of the new state legislation which was recently passed. They have requested injunctions to prevent enforcement of the new laws.

Kinda apples and oranges don't you think? What if a woman had a history of making false rape claims? Would that be relevant?

It seems to me that Martin's past is relevant. Last I heard, Zimmerman's defense centers around the claim that Martin attacked him.
If Martin was Mother Theresa, that claim is much harder to make. On the other hand, if he was constantly getting into fights, regularly suspended from school, and high on pot at the time, I think that would be very relevant to determining whether or not he was likely to attack Zimmerman.

Well, when the deputy fired the gun, it DID cause the dog to run away. Hard to argue that the gun didn't scare the dog off if not kill it. I'm sure the jogger would be alive if she missed and got the same reaction from the dog.
Still, root cause is over aggressive dog most likely mistreated and clearly not controlled by owner.

Perhaps not, but there is one requirement that should apply. Common sense.
Unfortunately, we're talking about California, so common sense doesn't apply.

    [quote name=' timestamp='1364933432' post='6113460]
Dr. Ben Carson, a black Johns Hopkins University neurosurgeon and conservative favorite after challenging President Barack Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, said Monday on "The Mark Levin Show" that white liberals are "racist."
"And you're attacked in many respects because of your race. You're not supposed to think like this, and supposed to talk like this. A lot of white liberals just don't like it, do they?" said Levin, host of the syndicated radio show.
"Well, they're the most racist people there are. You know, they put you in a little category, a little box -- you have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?" responded Carson.

I think to be fair, if you read it (in the way I did) He was referring to those Libs who are critical of Conservative blacks ..... because they don't "think like blacks should."
Real racism has two faces, the ugly face and the smiling countenance.
IN both cases they view another, based on race as inferior.
The way that attitude manifests its self.... just appears in different forms.

I just wanted to point out that this image is a misquote. Someone inserted "military style" into a sentence where Reagan actually said " an AK 47, a machine gun". There is a clear difference between his original quote and this. A machine gun infers fully automatic. Therefore one can not assume Reagan would be against look alike semi autos.
The person who created this misquote was Obama himself.

Sorry to repeat. Would it have been at all likely the one woman would have any custody given there was no blood relation while a blood relative still is alive?

In my school, believe it or not, dodgeball was called "War Ball". https://www.santarosa.k12.fl.us/sms/Faculty/Melton/Handouts/warball.htm
We would play with 4 balls though instead of two and headshots were allowed since we were using yellow balls with heavy foam interiors instead of the red rubber ones.
I think one of the major rule diferences was that when we played there was a no mans land area in the center instead of a dividing line - ie you could't cross the free throw line on the other teams side (using a basketball court). So there were opportunities to get behind people and hit them in the back.

I think they paid her quite a bit. Private adoptions range from 10k - 30k so I think based on her fee it would have been in their price range. If you go through the foster system its much cheaper.
The Telegraph's version has this "The couples' three children had all been born prematurely and two had ongoing medical problems." Something tells me they had no business having another child to begin with.

As I said, it is a vehicle of redirection. The point of Charles' post was not what was doing the killing but who. Yet we now have pages on the what and the initial message has been lost.

In this thread... "Guns have actually killed more people than anything in the history of this country".
Given we were talking about the government, changing the subject of the sentence as above is a tool of redirecting the argument away from the initial message.

This certainly reflects the prejudice gun owners see. I was reading an interesting study on firearm use in the home and mock trials. The trials centered around home attacks and the victim shooting the attacker.
What they found was that women who were proficient shooters were more likely to be harshly treated. The theory is that they are outside typical gender roles and therefore receive less favor.
Likewise with scenarios being equal the victim received more or less favor based on how scary the firearm used was. The mini 14 was used in the study along side an AR 15. An Ar 15 user was treated more harshly than a mini 14 user despite the fact that both firearms are similar with the exception of aesthetics.
