I concur in reference to the provincial health. My spouse is also Canadian and she lost her provincial health coverage. Her AP even expedite requested took 9 months from filing to receiving.

How long does the I-485 adjustment of status take? We just worry about leaving our house there vacant for an extended period. Husband's family is all in the US and I have no kids, the rest of my family can come visit me if they miss me, ha!
ours was 21 months from filing the 485. -
After 832 days since filing the 130 and 630 days since we switched from consular to adjustment and the 130 was approved yesterday and 485 today without an interview.. on my wife’s birthday! It took much longer than we wanted but oh well. We’ve been married 2.5 years so here’s to skipping removing conditions !

Zero. In person was where we focused our attention.

I feel more comfortable to deal with my children my self and not at mercy of step mother. How soon can I petition I-130 for them and what is time line considering ages 23yrs6 months old oldest to 16yrs6months old by JAN 12TH 2025 when I hope to become LPR
Then it will take longer. She’s their step mother so I would think your relationship would last long enough to petition them? Longer one would hope.

My wife is Canadian and I am a UsC. We used to meet every few weeks at a border town for a weekend. In between our days were much like yours as we spent them on video chat nearly 20 hours a day on days I didn’t work. So for us the meeting every few weeks at a border town ( 7 hours for me 6 for her to drive to meet) was important. It allowed us more time together in the real world plus lots of evidence of a relationship. The more time together the better and we had pics in various locations together plus the border crossings. Aside from all that we made each other beneficiary for life insurance, I added her to my lease and as an authorized user on my CC and added her to my bank account. All before she was here and had a SSN.

Is there a question in that? 130s typically take around a year.

Thank you! I actually did respond in that threat I just found it weird how my case "disappeared" for a day and came back with that estimate and I wasn't sure if other people had that same experience of the case "disappearing" for a period of time.
Ours has more than once. Waiting since aug 2022. It’s happened a few times. Our latest went from 3months to 11 after it disappeared for a day.

Myprogress is wildly inaccurate. It goes up down zeros out then starts again. We’ve been at this since August 2022 and ours have been at 12 months 1 week taking longer than expected 4 months 1 week taking longer repeat. There’s zero rhyme or reason to it so it’s best to just ignore it.

Thanks for advising here, I will certainly ask her. Does anybody know the current approximate wait time for EAD and AP after filing? Accept approximate wait varies on case by case basis.
My spouse received her EAD 5 months post biometrics last year and her AP 9 months post biometrics.

Yeah. The England thing wasn't expected at all. I just find it strange that it's taken so long after the medical. When I did mine it was almost an immediate end to the process.
We got an RFE for medical in April last year. Submitted it and crickets since. It sadly happens.
-
Also married to a Canadian and doing AOS. We filed ours in Feb 2023. Responded to RFE in April 2023 and nothing since on the 485.

Are you referring to ‘myprogress’ ? If so it fluctuates up and down and zeros out then changes again. It’s extremely inaccurate for most. I personally don’t bother to check it as it holds no value in reality.

The beneficiary will get a letter in the mail with their own account number to register all these petitions.

You are certainly welcome to attempt to expedite but being sad and lonely ( which most in this process are) is not a valid reason. Your upcoming medical may be but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work.

Please what was your experience when you got this message from the USCIS WEBSITE. regarding your case
It has happened to us no less than 8 times. The my progress tracker is not an accurate tool at all.

They in the US but only one will stay. They are aware of the restrictions and rules. I will also request advance parole just in case if emergency travel is needed. Those usually come between 3-6 month of application submission.
They do but can also come much later. My spouse got her 10 months after AOS filed…

It varies. Our status has not changed on one case RFE but we have confirmation they got it ( 8 months ago).

Same issues for us too.
Are call logs crucial for proof of relationship?

We had 16 months virtual before we met and I included exactly zero pieces of evidence of this. No phone logs no emails or chat screenshots etc. that said we had 4 visits of 2or so weeks plus three border town weekend meet ups in before we even filed. The length varied but the time spent together was much more important for proof.
