Still, no updates on IL.  Got another email last 5-Aug from NVC saying that my case is still in NVC and no further action from my side.  For expedite request, you should email the NVC stating a 'strong' reason why it needs to be expedited.  But, I would suggest that you should communicate with your petitioner (employer) first.  An employer request might be more valid rather than from your side that you are require on urgent basis to report to your work.

Anyways, what is your priority date?  I think NVC also weighted that when scheduling interview since they are working on huge backlogs.
