    Hey Guys, Wanna say a big thank you to y'all for seeing me through my journey, from my proxy marriage till visa in hand. September 19, I'll be one year in the United States. I also got accepted to study Criminal Justice With a concentration in Homeland Security/Counterterrorism.... Thank you so much VisaJourney for never getting tired of answering questions ☺️

    Utah marriage is very recognized. I did it and I’m in the states.

    I got married through Utah zoom marriage and I already have my Immigrant Visa in hand. As long as you consummated, the marriage is legal for immigration purprses. You'll be fine I'm in Nigeria btw

    I was never DQ'd cos my case was expedited. We filed I-130 November 2, 2021.

    I wasn't DQ'd. I was Expedited at NVC. I didn't even spend a month at NVC.

    Hi Everyone, I just had my interview at Lagos, July 27, 2022. I was approved and given the pamphlet and my visa pick-up sheet. My case still shows "Ready". It updated again today still "Ready" I don't know what that means.

    The only thing NVC does for you as a k1 applicant is to issue a case number. You do not upload anything to NVC, you have to carry your supporting documents to the embassy.

    What your wife ticked is the SSN card not the green card. If you haven't paid for your green card, it won't be mailed out.

    Best you use Utah marriage county. You won't be able to file until after consummation.
