Really odd. So Visa Medicals told you you needed it ahead of your appointment?
No when i went to do my vaccinations bit of the medical.

We had our medicals a couple of weeks ago and didn't get given TB jabs. I'm not sure why @NasUK did? It's not even on the list they gave us of possible options for them to give which is odd.
I really cannot tell you the reason behind it tbh...but when I went to pay for my medicals etc they said you are all up to date with your vaccination now.. 🤷♂️

Interesting you needed TB again. I thought that was a once in a lifetime thing? If I recall as a child, TB was the big needle and that's why we have the scars?
Did you tell the NHS you needed them for immigration purposes when you booked? Or just said you wanted them?
Well i am originally from Bulgaria so when i was a kid my medical records were written on a paper when i try to find them through our electronic system they were non existent so i told my GP that i need them as I don't have them on record anywhere. I did not told them was for immigration purposes.

I have the TB - I have the scar. It's just not on my records. Hoping they accept that as proof! lol
Thanks, I will contact them about getting the others 🙂
I had TB too but they charged me £50 at the Medical Visit place for my second dose as they said they were a month apart. So basically if you don't have it up to date when you go for your visa medical they will charge you for it on the spot also Hep B is also £50 just heads up is all

I think in total I waited around 5 weeks because my original got lost in the mail. And then I called to ask if it’s whereabouts and then they made me pay £15 to have a copied to delivered the next day.
I used for my application the one that was issued 2022 as they said you can use ones that are valid up to 24 months

We're not expecting to recieve IL for another month now as we seem to have missed the cut off. I'm in mid south wales so wanted to try and time it with a trip to Heathrow either before I fly out to visit my husband next month, or when I pick him up when he visits in August.
I seem to be missing alot of vaccine records so I'm going to need quite a few so perhaps the day before I fly out is not a good idea and given they have alot of availability, I'll try to wait and book it when I have the IL and time it with heading to Heathrow to pick him up in August.
I have a job offer from my current employer in the US (we didn't move to a transfer visa since it would be no faster than this process) so will be heading out to the US pretty quickly after I have my passport back (assuming of course all is well.)
Do what i did - Contact your GP as some are free through NHS except the Hep B ones

If you check CEAC you'll see when they were received too, it'll say the date your case was updated.
Ohhh yeah hahhahaha i just noticed lol 😂 thanks for the heads up.

We've already got return tickets booked, leaving on 29th July and our interview is 17th July. So might be cutting it fine but we did make sure we booked flexible tickets just in case we need to change them! 3 days is super quick though, that's great.
Our tickets are also flexible just to be on the safe side 😄

When I contacted them, I was offered medical dates from only a week or so away, they seemed to have plenty of availability. Most people get 6-8 weeks notice of their interview, so that should be tons of time to get the medical done unless they suddenly get backlogs.
I guess the only other reason to book the medical in advance is if you know there may be follow up documents required that could delay things.
Oh yeah they had loads of available dates when i booked too but i preferred to be on the safe side 😁 i called them last week to check if they have send them to the embassy and they said they have and they were there on 12th 😂 my appointment was on 9th

I emailed them, but yes. They said they didn't need the IL to book our medical in.
The only thing I would say is that obviously the visa is only valid for 6 months from the date of medical, not an issue for us as we want to leave straight after we get our passports back (hopefully!) anyway, but may mean it's too tight time wise for people who want longer after receiving their visa before they have to go to the US.
A friend of mine got his passport recently after his interview was on 20th he got his passport back 3 days later so hopefully you will be fine. Me and my wife bought out tickets to fly together on 18th of July that will be plenty of time for my passport to arrive. Also i suggest if the ticket (one way) is too expensive buy a return lol 😂 that is what we did..

Thanks for that info. Did you just call Visa medicals and ask if you could book your medical whilst awaiting interview date?
Yes you just call them and i suggest do it way before your interview date as i have seen some ppl did not got there medical results send over to the embassy in time for there interview and got the green slip which can delay your interview etc.

Keep us posted, I'm a week behind you (interview 17th July) so will be good to know how long it takes for you to get yours back. We're hoping to fly out 2 weeks later but have booked flexible flights just in case!
Yeah i will definitely keep you updated we booked our flights for 18th of July but flexible too... just in case but by all I have seen so far ppl getting there passports within 5 days so 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@Mattf, @NasUK
In case it helps: I had my final interview at the US embassy in London on June 8th in the morning, and just received my passport with the visa today June 15th.
In the meantime the CEAC website showed:
- "Ready" for interview all the way until June 13th
- "Administrative processing" in the morning of June 13th
- "Issued" in the afternoon of June 13th
- Received an email from the courier on June 14th saying it will be delivered the next day
- Then received the package + passport with visa on June 15th.
So all in all, it took a week (Thursday to Thursday) to receive the passport back after the interview (5 business working days, not incl. the day of the interview itself).Wow that is awesome thank you so much so i definitely will get it by end of thr week then...my interview is on 10th of July and i will get it by 15th 16th by the sounds of it.
