truecolor reacted to igoyougoduke in Questions on preparing AOS packet
Read this and follow word by word. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/form-filing-tips
Each form is a separate application. so photos+ documents for I-130 should be with I-130 application. Photos+ documents for I-485 should be with I-485.
You can send all the applications ( i-130, i-485,i-765, i-131) in one USPS/UPS/Fedex mail package but dont combine the documents and expect USCIS to sort relevant documents. They will send it back
I-693 is sealed and should go with I-485 package
Photos go with their own application. 2 for I-485, 2 for i-765, 2-for i-131.
You can mail using USPS, UPS or Fedex. there is no best way.

At least a copy of the I-94 for the I-131 filing even if all the forms are filed concurrently. Last year USCIS *wrongly denied an I-131 I filed because of:
*Since it was wrongly denied I quickly contacted the CIS Ombudsman and the denial was changed to approval right after the Ombudsman contacted them on my behalf: "I have received action or decision that involves clear errors of fact or misapplication of law by USCIS."

You got it. Not when submitting concurrently.

Item (1) states "if any". If you have any USCIS document, then attach it.

You'll need to send both. A copy of the original and a translation.

Current annual income is calculated as follows:
CURRENT pay period income (gross) X number of pay periods per year = Current annual income.
Example: If your current monthly gross income is $5,000, the your current annual income is $60,000.
You don't require 6 months of pay stubs. A transcript is better than a tax return, but you can send a copy of the 1040 package.

truecolor reacted to HRQX in I-944 no longer needed ? Updated Checklist for I-485?
For I-131 dates not needed. Put "TBD" for the Date of the trip; and "As needed" for the purpose of the trips. You might need to handwrite "TBD" in that field if the PDF editor doesn't let you. And select the box for Multiple trips.

truecolor got a reaction from econtom in I-944: Education evidence for parent
Oh my... I want to do a happy dance right now. 😀😀 Thank you @HRQX and @econtom for following up with the updates. I really appreciate it and am very thankful. Yesterday I was pulling my hair trying to fill out the darn form which I had been avoiding for quite a while. And now this news just made my day.

"Applicants and petitioners should not provide information or evidence related solely to the Public Charge Final Rule. That means that applicants for adjustment of status should not submit Form I-944, Declaration of Self Sufficiency, or any evidence or documentation required by Form I-944 when they file their Form I-485."

Ignore Form I-944: https://www.dhs.gov/news/2021/03/09/dhs-secretary-statement-2019-public-charge-rule "Today, the Department of Justice dismissed its pending appeals in the Supreme Court and Seventh Circuit, and is in the process of doing so in the Fourth Circuit. Following the Seventh Circuit dismissal this afternoon, the final judgment from the Northern District of Illinois, which vacated the 2019 public charge rule, went into effect. As a result, the 1999 interim field guidance on the public charge inadmissibility provision (i.e., the policy that was in place before the 2019 public charge rule) is now in effect."

Just a simple explanation that it's unavailable. The form was always about the totality of circumstances between education, financial status, etc. and with recent developments it might soon become a thing of the past: https://www.dhs.gov/news/2021/03/09/dhs-statement-litigation-related-public-charge-ground-inadmissibility "Once the previously entered judicial invalidation of the 2019 Rule becomes final, the 1999 interim field guidance on the public charge inadmissibility provision (i.e., the policy that was in place before the 2019 Rule) will apply. Under the 1999 interim field guidance, DHS will not consider a person’s receipt of Medicaid (except for Medicaid for long-term institutionalization), public housing, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits as part of the public charge inadmissibility determination." "DHS and USCIS will provide additional updates regarding the administration of the public charge ground of inadmissibility, including announcing when DHS will cease applying the 2019 Rule."
