  1. Congrats! Yeah it is weird. Spouse didn't get much papers. One did say to pay immigrant fee directions, link to website to do it. Can enter without paying but I suggest pay asap so no delays when you get in USA for your green card to arrive. Spouse just got passport with visa plus 3 papers. No visa packet, direction said bring xrays to POE but spouse never got xrays? Thank goodness for this site helping or would be lost.
  2. Thank you very much. So it is normal to only have 8 on the actual visa, ah. Everything should be good now. Going to pay immigrant fee now. Spouse did not get an immigrant packet in the mail though with visa, think one of the letter said modern visa doesn't have packet? haha never heard of this. Thank you so much for answering, wish you well.
  3. Hello! Spouse interview went well in China, F2A. She got approved and I am very thankful. Her visa came in the mail very quickly to but we noticed something. In the email when it gave interview date, it had A number and started with 0. Example 012345678 but the actual visa only listed 12345678 no zero in front. Questions. 1. Does this matter? 2. If it doesn't matter, when paying immigrant fee online, do I type it with or without the zero. 3. The case ID number also added a 01 on the visa too and there is no 01 in email. No clue what these changes mean. Thank you very much everyone.
  4. You got your passport back so quickly? I thought it was 7-10 days. Congrats
  5. The NVC website is asking for form i864EZ on their website. This is after they approved already i864 and i864a in 2019 and all said accepted, now it says incomplete asking for this form. The form rules say do not fill out i864EZ if you're a joint sponsor, only if you are using your income only. I don't understand? Do I click document not available and list reason N/A? or do I fill out the EZ form and click no on the not qualified part. I requested to delete my previous thread, I worded it too confusing. Last minute because interview in a few days for spouse. (U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou, China - GUZ, I am F2A in USA filing for spouse in China) They just called her earlier today her time and only asked to upload updated tax returns. I only noticed this part when I went on site to upload tax returns and my accepted turned into incomplete and says form i864EZ is missing. No one available to call over the weekend, I appreciate any help, thank you.
  6. Oh, you just paid. Yeah, wait for your receipt and you'll have access to that page. It will have labels and instructions when you click magnifying glass next to them the list on the section. Should take about 72 hours to gain full access after receipt(sometimes it takes longer).
  7. Only the most recent income will affect eligibility I believe. Could also get job letter stating how much you currently make an hour or salary. There is a section for tax return transcripts and tax return plus W2, I believe the transcripts include W2 info already.
  8. No idea why but the Register for Courier Service part is confusing. Not to mentioned every time you check it, it locks you out for 72 hours, HUGE stress. Spouse already has an interview appointment, when she registered doing these (see below) following steps, she got a confirmation page and a UID barcode number. Now I didn't think anything of it but other people near her doing similar things says that their code matches their DS260 confirmation page barcode......My spouse code does NOT match the DS260 barcode? Is it supposed to? She didn't see anything that suggests you use any DS260 info to fill in, just followed the directions below. Did she accidentally set it up wrong and clicked new interview date? I don't think so....She is literally trying to get a lawyer but no luck yet and don't think she can get one in time for interview in 2 weeks. Thanks. U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou, China - GUZ You must register online to provide the information we need to return your passport and visa package to you after your interview. Registration is free. Click the “Register” Link below. Select “New Application/Schedule Appointment” and then select “Immigrant Visa-Scheduled by NVC-Registration Only.”
  9. i130 was the longest wait by far, NVC wasn't too bad if it wasn't for the covid/trump ban. Few months depending on embassy. If you're not current then I don't think they will schedule interview so being current always helps. I guess it being current also helps them clear other people that are ahead of you so it can be your turn sooner? Hang in there, prepare well until then.
  10. Oh wow, thanks a lot, didn't realize that was against the law. Good to know, mind more at rest now.
  11. Short version of question: I am in the USA, do I need to mail my spouse in China all originals uploaded to NVC like my green card, my passport my joint sponser's birth certificate and American citizenship papers for proof? Unclear. LONG version: So refresher, I am in USA, Spouse in China. This is my timeline below. I have to dig up so many papers to fill out my timeline when I checked on this website, very detailed time line which will take me some time but, Basic timeline from memory. Priority date feb 2018. F2A category, China. i130 approved like summer 2019 Paid fees to NVC nov 2019 Uploaded everything to NVC by December. DQ from NVC Jan and now waiting for interview appointment. Covid/TRUMP BAN Delay all of 2020 Trump ban lifted Feb 2021, got email they starting again late feb. Spouse got email for interview at GUANGZHOU, PEOPLE'SREPUBLIC OF CHINA for mid April, on March 29th. Only a few weeks!! Now the "Bring to interview precheck list" is specific when you click Guangzhou, says spouse would only need a copy of my green card. But most places on the website before I click the consulate place spouse is to interview at, says BRING ALL ORIGINALS aka everything you uploaded to NVC website. Now this seems stressful because if I did mail my spouse(from usa to China) originals like my actual green card and a joint sponser's citizenship letter and my original birth certificates and passports, 1. Questionable if it gets there in time and 2. Those are sensitive items and if they get lost, that's a huge problem and delay. Again, the precheck list for GUANGZHOU only states copies of this for petitioner, and only my spouse original stuff but confusing when I see stuff everywhere saying ALL originals for everything uploaded to NVC. Thank you very much to anyone with experience with this. I do not have a lawyer but I did call my old one and he only could answer one question for free on short notice and that is "DO NOT" send my green card. Thanks. Best wishes to everyone struggling together. Very thankful for this website, helped me a lot since i130.
  12. We picked F2A category on the list. Our Visa category in the mail says F21 but there was no option for F21 at all so we picked F2A. Someone told my spouse that F2A and F21 is completely different? So I got confused. There is no other choice that says f21 though. Thank you very much.
