  1. Where did people on this thread get the clear answer you CANNOT work remotely for a foreign company while waiting for EAD? The information I could find were never definite but gray. BC97 the agent interviewed him/her said working remotely for a foreign company is not considered working in the US This law firm thinks it is ok to work remotely for a foreign company while waiting for EAD. Are those information completely false?
  2. It could depend on the embassy. Looks like Tokyo embassy takes a week as of now. I think 1 week is pretty quick too. Maybe you can check timelines of people with the similar timeline in your area?? I’m pretty sure you’re close tho!!
  3. The medical check didn't require any documents from the embassy. The copy of the email from NVC worked just fine. Also I received the instruction from the embassy when I got home. It took 1 week just like you told me
  4. Ya, I am not sure yet but hopefully I don't need it! In my prefecture, I was able to get the police certificate without the document from embassy. Just the copy of email from NVC worked fine!
  5. Thank you for all the info. I actually have the medical appointment tomorrow. Since they only asked for the document with my case number on it, I was going to print the e-mail from NVC and bring it with me. Since the clinic I am going has already closed for today, I asked a different clinic that does medical checks for visas and they said the document doesn't need to be from embassy (the email copy works)... guess I'll see tomorrow lol My clinic didn't ask for the police certificate either!
  6. oh, I will make sure to receive the instructions before going to the interview! Thank you!
  7. Is yours from Tokyo embassy? Either way, I will continue to check throughout this week! I emailed the Embassy and they told me to wait at least 3 weeks... I am already done with DS-160 and have scheduled an interview in late December so hopefully I receive the instruction by then.
  8. From what I’ve seen, people receive the instruction before the interview. I’ll check with embassy. Thank you!
  9. I might be just impatient but has anyone received instructions from the embassy by email or mail already after the status became ready? Our case has shipped last week (11/23) and when I checked on Saturday (11/27), the status was ready. I have been waiting for the instruction since then (only 3 days tho) but haven't heard anything...
  10. Oh i thought the embassy in my country had to request NVC to ship my packages! Seemed like everyone in other forum was complaining how backlogged their embassies are. Fingers crossed ours will be shipped next week🤞🏻 And thank you again for your help! Made me feel so much better
  11. Thank you for the information! I decoded my case number and it was 312 which means my case was received by NVC on November 8th, if I understood your explanation correctly. I will check the regional forums too! For some reason our case must’ve been left out🥲
  12. Hi. Where can I see how backlogged the embassy is in my country? We received the NOA2 on October 5 and got the case number by calling on November 12 and the rep told me they were just waiting for the embassy in Tokyo to be ready. The status is still "At NVC" today so I am getting a bit anxious...
  13. I just noticed our case was approved yesterday! NOA1: January 28 NOA2: Oct 5
  14. I’m still waiting too (receiving date Jan 28)! I submitted an inquiry and expect a reply by Oct 22…
