NeonParticles got a reaction from Andy and Let in CR1 is DQ, current wait time for interview in Manila?
Luckily, the process moved very fast once the embassy started processing us. We're heading to the US on June 30

NeonParticles got a reaction from top_secret in CR-1 - USTravelDocs Account Needed?
It worked out just fine by adding the address to that account with the case number. They pulled up the info during the interview and confirmed the delivery location (we chose LBC in BGC for pickup - this took about one week FYI).

NeonParticles reacted to RO_AH in Transit Visas
The reason that I asked if she has ever traveled internationally before is because it is not so easy for a young Filipina to even get past their own bureau of immigration to travel abroad so that would be your first hurdle. @top_secret explained it very well.
I believe your best bet which would be hassle free and less risk is Palawan or some other PH destination. Philippines has some of the most beautiful places on earth. Once she has made it out with her K-1 visa you can start thinking about other destinations.

After you create the account and log in there is a check box to register delivery address. That should lead you to a page where it asks your case number and everything else.

NeonParticles reacted to hiram a in CFO Valid IDs
Ok, its been a while since my wife got her passport with her married name. Just take the old IDs with her and she will be OK. She will have the marriage docs. You can always send CFO an email and they will answer within a week.

NeonParticles reacted to top_secret in NBI Clearance "AKA" Field Concerns
If your full maiden name on the NBI Clearance is exactly the same as it appeared on your original PSA birth certificate AND your husband's surname is listed AND your civil status is listed as "married" then you do not need an AKA.
If your parents were married when you were born then your father's surname would be listed as "FAMILY NAME", your first name(or first names if more than one) would be listed as "FIRST NAME", your mother's maiden surname would be listed as "MIDDLE NAME" and your husband's surname would be listed as "HUSBAND'S SURNAME".
If your names on the NBI Clearance exactly match that and there are no annotations, corrections or alternate usage on any of your documents then you DO NOT need an AKA.

NeonParticles reacted to top_secret in CFO Valid IDs
Her other ID's being in her maiden name is not a problem. CFO would automatically understand the difference between married and maiden name and would not expect ID's to be updated.

CR1 I just got my interview email saying my wife's interview is on May 23rd! Is it normal that we wouldn't have to schedule it...?

Got interview date for my husband, for May 2!
Congrats to us and all of those who got the ILs!
And yes, this is actually the normal way - us getting an interview date rather than scheduling it.
The only reason some need to schedule their own is because they were "auto-expedited". MNL embassy is trying to clear their backlogs.
But this is how things should be.

NeonParticles reacted to top_secret in CR1 IMMIGRANT VISA (Spouse of a US Citizen) NVC to Philippine Consulate timeline
I have given up on trying to figure out what US Embassy Manila is up to> they seem to be wildly thrashing around on scheduling with no rhyme or reason
February's visa statistics are out and for an embassy that should be one of the busiest on the planet for spousal visa, US Embassy Manila managed to accomplish only 67 IR1 visas and only ONE!!!! CR1 visa in the whole month of February.
The most recent mass expedite encompassing only IR1's and IR2's while passing over CR's with older DQ dates is yet a new previously unseen twist. US Embassy Manila continues their streak of being nonsensical.
I guess if I were CR1, I would take note that in February and March, around the 8th or possibly the second Friday of the month (??) NVC had been sending interview letters to all CR's and IR's, including IR5's, going by DQ date. IR5's were also not included in the recent mass expedite so one could speculate that if NVC does still send out a batch of interview letters this week, it would encompass CR's and IR5's who were DQ from late May 2023 forward. That is a group that should be depleted of IR1's and IR2's by that mass expedite so maybe it could advance a few months??
Or, USEM could just do something completely random that is impossible to predict.

I am happy for everyone who got expedited. At the same time, I am here wondering when my case will move forward. I am a CR1, DQ'd in June 26, 2023 (IR1 in less than a month). I cant stop but feel betrayed by this system again. I mean I am happy for the ones who got expedited, but I thought it was first in-first out. I get it, I am CR1. Does that mean I have to wait till I get converted to IR1 before I hear something? if that's the case then remove CR1 category and just do straight IR1. Anyway.....my apologies, Im ranting....

I hope so! Prayers for us! I just realized you and your partner will also turn IR1 on June. Same here, except we will turn IR1 June 18.
We've been DQed since May 26 though. Anyhow, Let's keep each other updated!
At the rate things are going, getting approved in USCIS faster just seems to be futile 😭

I got a feeling we're up soon. This is the most movement we've seen in a while.

Haven't seen any CR1s move at all. So unfair how they keep saying that it's FIFO yet there are still May DQs who haven't received any kind of update.

Interview letters just went out for a large number of IR5's DQ March and April 2023 and a relative handful with early May DQ dates. I also saw like two or three reports from IR1's with similar DQ dates. It still fits the hypothesis that CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 were deprioritized after the June 2023 mass expedite and were dumped into the lengthy IR5 queue without priority. Since it appears that the cutoff point for interview letters this month was early May 2023 DQ dates, that would still exclude the large number of backlogged CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 cases since almost all of the CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 DQ before mid May 2023 already got their interview letters way back in June 2023.
So as it stands. It seems that in the last month, the IR5 backlog decreased 2 months. CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 backlog 'might' be following IR5. Interview letters came out on the 8th for a second month in a row so 'maybe' that could be looked at as a trend of when to expect interview letters. If the cutoff point this month is indeed early May 2023(?) then next month around the 8th one could wildly speculate that May-July DQ dates might have some chance to get interview letters. Unless US Embassy Manila does something wildly unpredictable, which they have been doing. The backlog rather definitely is 10 months at this point and would be a year by the time large numbers of CR1/IR1 CR2/IR2 start actually getting interviews.
