  1. Finally received notification it was received as well! - 01/08: Package was delivered. - 01/10: Received text message from USCIS with case number. When logging into my USCIS account, I am able to see all my old cases but if I try to add this new one, it asks for an Online Access Code, which I never saw before when I was doing AOS. Is there a way to get the Access Code without having to wait for my receipt notice to arrive in the mail? Thank you!
  2. Did you receive a text message? I had to send out my package again due to an issue with payment (declined credit card transaction) and it will be delivered tomorrow (previous package was delivered on 01/02). From what I have been seeing, USCIS is taking about 2 or 3 business days to process incoming mail. However, as I had to send in a cashier’s check, I’m just wondering if they do send out e-notifications? That would be the only way for me to know it was accepted. How did you see the receipt notice?
  3. Due to my anxiety I just could not wait lol, I re-sent the whole package and I included a cashier’s check. I also added a short statement explaining how this is a second submission as the previous one had a declined payment. Honestly I’m not sure if it’ll make a difference but I figured it couldn’t hurt and the sooner the better. USCIS seems to be processing mail pretty quickly nowadays and I’m hoping to have some news by the end of this upcoming week. Fingers crossed!
  4. Thank you for your response and for the reassurance. I’m currently halfway through re-printing my package and I really don’t want to wait to send it out, however should I include a letter stating that this is a second submission as the first one was rejected due to declined payment? Thank you, I will try to relax a little!
  5. Unfortunately we would have to order the personal checks and my bank confirmed it would take one or two weeks, and I’m unable to wait that long. Also, according to my bank since the money is guaranteed with a cashier’s check there shouldn’t be any issues, but I was wondering about other’s experiences.
  6. No, I did not get any notifications, just an email from my credit card saying that the transaction was declined. As soon as I saw that I figured I would resend everything ASAP to avoid further delays, hoping that at least I will have an e-notification before my green card expires. To confirm, cashier’s checks are safe when it comes to USCIS I assume?
  7. Thank you for the suggestion. I was under the impression that USCIS only attempts one transaction and if that doesn’t go through, they do not try again. Isn’t that the case?
  8. My application was received by USCIS on 01/02 and when I woke up this morning I saw a declined transaction of $680. I used credit card transactions for all my forms (I-129F, AOS and so on) and never, ever had any issues. To my horror, this happened when my green card expires on 01/18. Besides the fact that I had a slight mental breakdown, I had to call off work and I am now re-printing my whole package (over 500 pages) and re-sending everything today with overnight shipping and a cashier’s check. I guess my question is, there shouldn’t be any issues with a cashier’s check, correct? Also, assuming the other application will be sent back to me with a rejection notice due to lack of payment, could this cause problems with the new application I’m sending out today? I might be paranoid right now but I am concerned about the fact that I have a tight timeframe. Thank you!
  9. Hello! I came across this thread and didn’t see anyone else providing timelines for their January filing. My package was delivered on 01/02 and I’m currently still waiting for a receipt notice or text message. Did anyone else send in their package this week? I would be interested in seeing other timelines. Thank you!
  10. Thank you, after it’s mailed in should I wait for any kind of letter from USCIS to confirm it has been received? Or how does it work?
  11. My spouse and I moved recently, and today I updated the address online by entering my information. I’m wondering if my spouse (the petitioner) has to do the same by entering their name? So we would need to submit two different forms? I’ve been given different answers in regards to this and I just wanted to make sure. Thank you in advance!
