  1. Im praying that our Ap is done......I have since called the Office in DC and now Im geting conflicting stories.....They cant make up their minds......When I first started calling the Operators that I talked to told me at lest 5 different times that the Security check had already started and then a few even told me that it was almost done.......Then on Wed of this past week I called and the person that answered the phone told me that it had not even started.......So I called back got a different operator and they said that yes if fact it had started......Called thursday and the same thing the first one said that it had not started then the next one said that it did.....Got to Friday and the first person I talked with told me that it was done and complete and already went back to Lagos...Went so far as to tell me that all we are waiting for now was a phone call from the Embassy ........Called again to verfiy and got told it had not even statrted yet.......What is going on with this office???? How can you get several different answers ?????? Which do I belive??? My next step is to call Lagos and find out what they have in their computer.......I am hoping and praying for the best......Will keep you updated........

  2. According to the Office in DC the AP is done and they sent the results back to Lagos......They have told all we are waiting for is a phone call from the Embassy to call him back and pick up his visa.....(Depending on what the results say)...........Can you belive it???? Im now holding my breath waiting for the phone call from my Husband that they have called him......OHHHHHH I cant wait to hear that news from him........Keep watching for updates......Love to everyone...... :luv:

  3. Wanted to let others know our Adim. Processing is moving very fast..... According to the NVC in Washington DC the Embassy in Lagos should be contacting us by the end of this week or beginning of next week....At that time they will let him know when to pick up his visa........If all goes well it will take 2 weeks or less....I am very excited to know that this processes is nearing its end and I will be reunited with my Husband very soon....Will keep you updated as I get new Information......Love to everybody.....

  4. Another update!!!

Called the DC NVC office againg today......They told me that they are finishing up the Investagation and that we should be hearing from the Embassy by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.......I asked them that with the Investagation happening and getting completed so fast if that was a good sign that everything has checked out.....The person said yes that with them being able to finish it so quickly is a very good sign that he is or will be approved......When he gets called back to the embassy he will not have another interview....it will be to come and get his visa.......So now the count down is on for the end of this week or beginning of next.......We should have our visa and be reunited in 3 weeks time.......if not sooner.....It feels wonderful ......however as we all know I am reminding myslef that until that visa is in his hand I cant get all that excited........That is what is so hard.....but im going to enjoy this good news until i hear better news or something else......LOL LOL LOL Lots of love to everyone......

  5. I am so sorry to hear this......I know that it is hard to be away from the one that you love for such a long time......Maybe for some people its just to hard and it is understandable........However before they make that decision I would ask them to try and see where their case is? They could approve it anytime......It could be just right around the corner and how bad would they feel if that was the case and they gave it up just one or two days early? If you are truely in love with someone and they are the one that you are meant to spend the rest of your life with you would walk through fire for them and fight as hard as you could and not give up........Yes 2 years is a long time but if they are into that far why turn back now????? I hope they give it more time if she truely loves him the way a wife loves her husband she will give it more time

  6. Ok.......

called the NVC in DC again this mor.....LOL LOL ......they have told me that we should be hearing from the Embassey by the end of this week or the beginning of next week......I cant belive they have done this so fast......It sees as though mine is right on track with being approved in two weeks......I am so happy but at the same time trying so hard to cautious.....LOL LOL .....Cant help but want to do the Happy Dance!!!!!!:dance:

  7. Called the NVC office in DC they are almost through with the investagation and told me that I would be hearing from the Embassy not soon but very soon......With the investagation going this fast that it more then likely means that it is a go....When they call him back to the embassy it will be to pick up his visa.....the interview is done and was sucessful....so we are only waiting on this to be completed and then he will be on his way home to me........Cant tell you how happy I am ....

  8. I am so happy I dont know what to do with myslef......This is one long journey and know i see more then just light at the end of this tunnel.......I am being able to breath again and feel the hope and joy of being reunited with my Husband again soon......Even if it a month it is much better then 3 month or 6 months or even longer......I have not seen my Husband in a year and a half......Now I am beginning to feel like a new bride all over again....LOL LOL ....anway Will keep you all posted.......Will be calling them again tonight or tomorrow......Thank you everybody for your well whishes........ (L)

  9. Offical update...... Im going to go out and dance in the street this mor.....LOL LOL ... Called the DC office and with in less then 1day and a half they recieved, started, and almost completed the investagation.....They told me I would be hearing from the Embassy very soon. Was told that the less time it takes for them to investagate generally means that nothing was found and there was nothing else more to do......That he is a go and can enter the US.....cant explaine what relif Im feeling right now ......I know I need to keep everything in control andnot let myself get to excited........We never know what is around the corner....However I am feeling very good about this.....It went so fast......I cant belive it.......

  10. Offical Update.......

Called the office in DC and they informend me that the AP is almost complete....they will be sending the information to Lagos very shortly....I asked a few more questions and was told that the sooner the investagation is completed the better....It means that there was nothing they found that would deny him a visa......This case only started on sep 20th thursday and almost already completed really just a day and half later?? Not even that....Im sitting here in shock....... we will see what tonight or tomorrow brings..... Im just so happy knowing that it is almost done.......Wish me well......

  11. Ok I talked with my Husband more tonight and got more information......The interviewer was very much intrested in his being in Libya.......She spent 20 min asking him about it.....then she asked him to prove that he was not linked to any terrorists......So we know now that is what they are checking.......They must have jumped on that fast because Like I have already posted they not only had his case in DC but had started the investagation as well all in less the 24 hours.....I think it was more like less then 12 hours......I can pray that is a good thing.....that they jumped on that so fast.........What does everybody else think???? Please give me your Opinion........

  12. My case has been put on AP on Sep. 20th.....That same day the Lagos embassy sent the case to the Washington DC office....Called them Friday mor. They told me they had the case and it has already been sent out to be investagatied......From what they told me the investagation has already started.........Is this good news???? Im thinking that because its already in the DC office and they have already started the investagation that it will not take to long........can anyone comment on this and tell me if my thinking is on track or should I prepare for the long wait????

  13. Omoba,

Thank you and everyone else that replys. It helps to read everyones words of ecourgement....Im going to call them again on Monday (tomorrow)... From what I understand our case is not waiting in line but rather the investagation has already started.......The NVC office has already sent it out for investagation.....Dont know if that makes a difference but I will try to find out more on monday.......Just to let everyone know just being able to come to the computer and read what everyones posted really helps and makes me feel like I am doing something.....Thank you Thank you.....

  14. Hi,

this is Kimberly, knowen and Moon1968.

I am going through the same excat thing that you are.....the very same day I found out that we are put in AP I got on the phone right away and got in touch with the NVC office in Washington DC. They told me that they could see where we were put on AP and saw all the details of our case, The were not specific, However they told me that my case would be sent there to the DC office and that is where it would be investagatied........They told me that they would possible get the case on monday........I called them back looking for more answers on friday....They already had my case and to my surprise had already sent it out and the investagation has already started.......Also because we filed the CR1 that that helped out alot and they only have one thing to check on......not sure what that means??? I can only asume that they are trying to look into his time in Libya........anyway .......Until someone tells me other wise I feel very good about my case and that it will get resolved soon......The fact that it is not sitting in the Lagos office waiting to be investagatied along with the fact that it was so quickly sent to the DC office within 1 day.....and the investagation or Security check has already started give me hope that it will be taken care of soon........Im going to hold on to that hope ........If you have any questions please feel free to contact me through my e-mail ..... moonptals@aol.com I would like to find out more about your case and what is happening......

  15. wanted to give an update on my case........

Ok so we have been put on AP.....Our interview was on sep 20th....Had all papers and documents but still on AP due to fact that he had spent time in Libya......That is what the NVC office in Washington DC told me......My case was already forwarded that same day and in the DC office by friday the 21st.......They have already put it through and the investagation has already started.......My first reaction was being totally devasted......after the shock set in and I made the phone calls im beginnig to feel much better......I cant explaine to you why but for some reason this feeling of peace has come over me and I am much more relaxed.......I really belive that due to the fact that my case has already been forwarded and back here in the US insted of being kept in Lagos just sitting there waiting for some one to do something with it, that its not going to take very long.......If anyone knows that I am just fooling myself PLEASE tell me.........I do not want to sit myself up for another big disapointment......The NVC office in DC told me that the investagation is taking place here all through the computer.......How long really can that take???? they are only checking on one thing ...........But again I dont want to sit myslef up for another fall and want to keep my head in reality......Also today at work I talked with a man that used to work at an embassy in another country and he told me that we are correct......It all depends on what interviewer you get.......If you get one in a good mood then you will be ok.....if you get one in bad mood or just wants to go home then you might be out of luck........He also confirmed that since my case is here already under investagation that it should not take longer then a month.......So Wish me all the best and I will keep you posted as to any new developments..........For now Im at peace and going to bed feeling a little better....more relaxed and confident, Filled with hope......thanks to everyone that has offered their words of encourgenment ....It has really helped...... :) Not dancing in the streets yet but happier ....LOL

  16. As I have posted in another post I have called the NVC office in Washngton DC. I was told that they were doing one last security check.....thay called/ said that as far as they are concerned that the interview was a sucess.....But that due to the fact that he was in Libya they are doing one more security check.......They already got the case today and sent it out right away so the investagation has already started.......My question is this?? If I dare hope that it will not take long am I sitting my self up for total dissapointment????? I talkd to 6 different people in the office and they were reasuring me that this should not take long due to the fact that they only have one thing to check out......We had all other information and docs.........I am wanting to belive that because they started on so fast and that it is being done here in the states and not in Lagos that there might be a better chance of it getting done faster???? Am I Sitting myself up for a fall????

  17. New information,

    This is the update.

Called the NVC office in D.C. Thay have already recived the case and have started the process of investagation. The investagation will take place from here in the US.......Is that normally how it works??? They had recived the case over night and it was already processed and the investagation has started........Question?? Im I gettng my hopes up high again or is it some good news that this has happened so fast????? Also they said that becasue we did the CR1 most of the work is already done all the are doing now is one last security check??? Does anyone now that intails??????

  18. Thank you so much....

That is excatly where i am at tonight. Trying to get over the inital shock of this.....I have cryed so much that my eyes are swollen twice the size and have turned almost purple.....Dont know what they will look like in the mor..........I do have one Question.......On my Husbands paper that they gave him......they state that it should not take longer then 6 months......Do they do that will all the papers ??? Or is it because of the type of investagation they are doing???

  19. I want to thank everybody for their support......I am completly and uterly devastated.....I started thinking about his time in Libya and relized that it might be a problem......I guess I just did not allow myself to think about it.......Now looking back I really am not to surprised....Just very very Crushed.....It was as if they knew that he was going to be put on the Adim. Proc. even before he showed up for the interview......The woman that did the interview asked the same questions as everyone else asked for a few emails and then told him that there needed to be further investagation...Gave him the paper that says we are in the process of the AP....They would not tell him or give him a reason......I called the NVC in DC and they were the ones that told me what the where going to look into........As for me ........Im here totaly devastated by this news....I dont know how im going to make it through this night and be able to go to work tomorrow.......want to lock myself in my room not come out or see anyone......I feel as though my world has completely fallen apart........and I dont know how to put it back together again??? How and were do I start????

  20. My husband and I were put on administrative Processes due to the fact that he had been in Libya for 4 years.....Has been back home in Nigeria now for 3 years.......anyway, I called the 202-663-1225 number they told me that what is going to happen now is that they will send the information from Lagos to the Washington DC NVC center where they will send it out through another party to do an Securtiy check or investagation.....Does anyone know how long that process will take??? any help would be welcome.......

  21. New Information,

Called Washington DC again and Explained the situation about having the Investagation that they did for the k3 applyed to the CR1 so we could finish the case......they said it could be done however when they looked it up they never finished the Investagation for the K3 they just sent it through.......So now We wait for them to send the information through the computer to the NVC office here in Washington DC and then they use an outside agency to do a security check on my husband..........Has anyone ever gone through that???? and If so how long does it take???? Thank you .....

  22. We have been put on Adimn. Process......Due to the fact that he was in Libya for about 4 years .....They are doing a security check.....From what I have gathered from the NVC office in Washington.D.C The Lagos Embassy will be sending something through the computer to the Office in Washingtom D.C to have a security check of some kind and once he is cleard then he will be informend on when to come back to get his visa........So does anyone know if that sounds normal? and how long it will take?????

  23. Ok dont know if this makes a difference or not......When I first started this process for my Husband and filed all the papers we also filed for a K3 visa...During the process for the K3 visa we were also put on Adim. Proc. for about 2 weeks......after that they sent the papers on to the Lagos embassy........We did not get to do the K3 due to the fact that I had already sent all the paper work to the NVC office before we got the K3 interview......So we had to wait for the other paper work to go through and do the CR1 interview......Now my question is this......Would they be conducting the same type of invvestagation there that was already done here?? And if so could they forward that information to the Lagos embassy to finish this case???

  24. We are both crushed and I dont think either of us our thinking clearly right now....Im waiting for him to send me the letter so I know what my next step is to take....Im looking in the forms and cant seem to find anything on this Adim proc.....can anyone tell me what form I will need to fill out now???? Any help will be welcomed ????
