Not what they are saying.   They are saying prove that you have met face to face post proxy marriage.

You stated you have an attorney. You should be posing these questions to s/he, that's why you pay them.

You do not have to wait for the NVC to approve anything, you're already documentarily qualified.  You are updating existing information.  You NEED a new joint sponsor or your husband will NOT get a visa.

Yes please provide the English translation. You need to send them the nadra certificate, urdu nikah nama copy, and the English translation. I made the mistake of only sending the nadra certificate as listed on their website but later got an RFE and had to send the urdu nikah nama copy and translation. I got my translation done from this online service based in Washington. They were super cheap, accurate, efficient, quick, and they provide a certified document that you can also get notarized from them. They do translations specifically for USCIS purposes. You can also request a hard copy from for some extra charges but the online copy is included in your order and that’s enough. The website address is https://immitranslate.com/uscis-translations?gclid=CjwKCAjww5r8BRB6EiwArcckC9VRptztJRzPIq-6KRniRcz58TQzWAPyAyeXGuDh1Og-9GlcIIusIhoCh_IQAvD_BwE

my translation was accepted within a couple days after they received it.

They’re only doing interviews for US Citizen spouses and children. My assumption is that they will go through the cases and pick the ones that are sponsored by US Citizens and process those in the order they were DQ’d.

Zack36 reacted to Chancy in Converting CR1 to IR1 on 2-year anniversary
Case conversion from CR1 to IR1 happens automatically for all applicants who have been married to their petitioner for more than 2 years before their visa is issued.  Also, CR1 visa holders can get a 10-year green card if they enter the US after their 2nd wedding anniversary before their visa expires.

I am sorry to hear about that, just cause some documents rejection.it doesn't mean you guy's should stop talking to each other, you guy's should still keep in touch with each other.I have been married over 2 years to my wife,I just recently visited her back in March.i took a time off from work for 3 weeks, ended being stuck in Pakistan for 2 months and 4 days due to covid19.everything being shut down,no international flights going out.so I got to spend some quality time with her.you guy's need to trust Allah, they say there is light at the end of dark tunnel.stay positive even though it's hard.

I really hope that you are correct. 3 weeks is nothing compare to all the waiting we did. Back in July and August, I understand that they are re-opening it slowly due to Covid but now its almost end of September with no new news. So hopefully we will see an announcement really soon. Thank you for your help and keep updating us.
Good luck and let us know how it.

My sister-in-law who works closely with the embassy said that they were scheduling interviews last week and expected that we would have an announcement by the end of last week. Well last week came and went with no news. But we had members on VJ state that the ones who had their interviews initially canceled due to Covid are being scheduled for interviews October 13th. However as far as I know these are the only interviews being scheduled and this may be the case for the next couple of weeks. These members were initially document qualified back in February 2020.

My assumption is that once they have worked through the backlog of canceled interviews and start resuming NEW interviews, we will see an announcement. This is a worst case scenario as other embassies announced their opening within a week or two of scheduling their own canceled interviews. So let’s see, I think we will almost certainly see an announcement in the next 3 weeks, but I have been wrong before (about last week). The Islamabad embassy is opening much slower than others.
