I suggest printing a copy of the IRS Tax return transcripts. The embassy might request the transcripts like they did from us.

Call USCIS and ask them to verify your service center. I would double check by calling couple of times because we've been given conflicting information in the past and had to reconfirm. They told us they have 3 separate "systems" (databases). Good luck!

    Anytime.

Here's the myUSCIS log in page - https://myaccount.uscis.gov/
If he does not yet have a profile, he needs to create an account first.

Once you verify the service center, you can use the following page to filter on that service center, the beneficiary's country, and order by "I-130 NOA2 (NOA2 is approval or denial of the petition), select order direction as "DECENDING" and click on "Set filter". This will list the all the cases that were approved for your specific country and service center from the most recent to oldest. Looking at the I-130 NOA1 column (date when the case was received by USCIS) you can get the general idea of which priority dates are currently being reviewed and approved.

Here's what I suggest. Since only the petitioner who filed the I-130 can inquire about the case at USCIS stage he should check the case status in their USCIS online profile. If USCIS sent an RFE, it should be posted on the documents tab if I'm not mistaken. If they find that RFE was sent, he needs to respond to it by providing information requested. If not, then he should get in touch with USCIS by phone and ask when was the last action taken on the case (case touched). He can also ask and verify at which processing center the case is being reviewed. If the case has not been reviewed for a long time, then request to speak to a Tier 2 officer. When we called USCIS, they told us that the case was going through a background check, and couple of weeks later the status went to "Case being actively reviewed" and then to "Approved" the next day. Don't pay attention to all the negativity. Just take the advice that is useful to you. Good luck!

We also got our interview letter scheduled for August 4. Been DQ'ed late February. I was expecting to have at least a month until the interview date, but it's only little over 2 weeks out.

I was in the same situation and even tried to request that our case be transferred to another service center from Potomac but USCIS said they can't do it. Unfortunately you just have to wait. When you end up calling USCIS ask them when your case was last touched (looked at/reviewed). That might be a sign that there's some activity with your case and it's not just sitting there collecting dust. You might also want to ask whether your case has been assigned to an adjudication officer. When they told me this about our case it was approved about a week later. Good luck!

Hey guys. Our case was just approved today. It went to "case being actively reviewed" this morning and then to "case approved" after couple of hours. Thanks everyone for sharing your timeline and experience. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for an approval!

Some insight into what I observed while waiting:
    1. When I received my NOA1 the letter said my case was in California Service Center.
    2. When I called USCIS to inquire about my case 2-3 months later, they told me it was transferred to the Potomac Service Center. I did not receive any notice neither through mail nor email.
    3. When I called multiple times to double check the location of my case, I've had multiple USCIS customer service reps giving me conflicting information, with some saying it's in Texas Service Center and some saying it's in Potomac. Apparently they have multiple databases where they check this information and may end up giving you wrong information. Eventually I spoke to Tier 2 officers and 2 of them confirmed that my case is in Potomac.
    4. When I called yesterday to inquire about my case I was told that there was an "evidence review" that occurred recently and that the case was assigned to an adjudicating officer. Today the case went to "actively reviewing" and then "approved".

Just thought I might share this in case you guys are in the same situation.

Do you guys think we should start a petition or something to have cases transferred from Potomac? It's little unfair that people who ended up in Potomac and waiting for 10+ months, while those who ended up in Texas or Nebraska are getting approved within 4-5 months!
