YoloTrustMe got a reaction from Socrate in Response to RFE delayed - Would case be denied ?
The deadline to send response to RFE for I-751 was today. I sent the documents last week with UPS overnight shipping and but UPS messed up the delivery which was supposed to be completed last week. However the package was delivered it today. I am not able to get hold of someone from USCIS to confirm if they received my documents. The delivery status from UPS says "Delivered - Left at dock". I am worried if USICS would be consider my documents received on time or not ?
The RFE document which I received mentioned if USCIC does not receive my response by deadline, the case would be denied .

YoloTrustMe got a reaction from tab0712 in ROC USCIS case status changed canceled to scheduled
So, i received a status update text on my case saying  "Request for Evidence", and after 2 days while i was still waiting for the actual RFE letter in the  mail for, I got another update that "Response to RFE has been received " when I never sent anything. Is this a glitch ?

Looks like you will be all good, receipt of the RFE is on the due date.

In addition USCIS has automatically extended the effective due date on RFE due to COVID by 60 days throughout the year. A late RFE response will not be an issue for you either way.

YoloTrustMe reacted to SY12 in I-751 Switch to Divorce Waiver, NO RFE, NO INTERVIEW
Hello hello! I would either include a letter explaining the marriage now or when you update USCIS with the final decree.

As to the address, I am not 100% sure. When I filed, I just filed with the address listed on the USCIS website.
    https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

As to the letter, I did not follow any sample letter. I basically started with a paragraph expressing my intention to switch to a divorce waiver. Then I started talking about how we met, what we were doing at the time, and what happened in the marriage that leads to a divorce. I ended with a paragraph expressing what I currently do (at the time of filing) and what my goal is for the future. I also emphasized that I have been in the US for almost ten years, always in good status (F1 before marriage) and have no intention to obtain a green card by fraud.

    Hope this helps!

They really should upload an example letter for this situation to the example form section on VJ since it comes up a lot.

You just need to write a basic letter in a semi-formal format.

    USCIS
    address

    RE- LPRS name,
    A#
    NOA case number
    DOB
    resident since date
    address
    phone number

    date of letter

Request to switch to a divorce waiver

    To whom it may concern:

On X date, I, (name), A# filed a joint petition with my spouse (their name) with the X service center (where you mailed it). My case number is X. (from your NOA).  On X date (spouses name) and I legally separated/physically separated/filed for divorce/divorced. Please accept this letter as my request to switch to a divorce waiver. I am/am not attaching the divorce decree. (if you are list date of divorce and court name/if not state it will provided when the court issues it.) I am also attaching X Y and Z for your consideration.

    Signed
    dated
(you can get it notarized but it doesnt have to be)

Keep a copy for your records and mail it with a tracking number to the same service center you sent the original ROC packet to.

Personally I would submit a short basic letter like the above and attach a longer affidavit about the relationship and its breakdown. That statement can be multiple pages long and refer to evidence that you attach. Think 'courthouse' style evidence. You can label the attachments as attachment A, B, C etc and refer to them in your affidavit. Example we had joint bank accounts at X bank (see attachment A) blah blah. We took a trip together to Hawaii (see attachment B-D) etc.,
