  1. Yes, that’s a good place to start. The Filing Calculator is helpful in knowing when your filing window opens. There’s a guide on VJ too if you want to look at it as well: https://www.visajourney.com/guides/removing-conditions-permanent-residency/
  2. Topic moved from K1 forum to Removal of Conditions on Residency forum. Yes, it is necessary and required to file for removal of conditions, also known as I-751.
  3. Which website? If it’s the one you find on the case status, it is for spousal visas and doesn’t apply to K1. Any documents will need to be physically brought to the interview by the beneficiary. Consulates prefer tax return transcripts. Yes, income one.
  4. Topic moved from K1 forum to Moving to America forum where DL issues are discussed. Technically, they do not have a status but a pending I-485 grants them an authorized stay until it is adjudicated. Many states do not issue IDs or DLs based on a pending I-485. You will have to wait until EAD or GC to apply.
  5. Zombie thread closed for comment. VJ Moderation
  6. Above post was split off into a new thread. Do not post questions in other members threads; start your own thread instead. VJ Moderation
  7. As you were advised previously, there are no derivatives for IR5 category. There are no ways around to bring your brother faster. That’s just the reality of the situation.
  8. Related threads merged. Do not start multiple threads asking same or related questions as that constitutes spamming which is a terms of service violation and puts your account at risk of admin action. VJ Moderation
  9. ~~ Topic moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports ~~ NVC does not send welcome letters. It only sends a notification when your case leaves NVC to go to the consulate. This can take weeks or months, depending on w the individual consulate backlog. If you want to find out your case sooner than that then you’ll have to contact NVC and ask for it. Otherwise you just keep waiting. Expiration date isn’t relevant because the delays are not your fault.
  10. You can’t get that according to what I posted. Go to that link and screenshot the whole section and include that tin your response to NVC, it should work. It’s not the first time NVC requests stuff that doesn’t apply to a situation.
  11. There’s a different document for third country nationals. Is that the one you tried to obtain? Alternate Documents: The Extrait du Casier Judiciare serves as an alternate document for Moroccan citizens aged 16 and 17 and third-country nationals. Exceptions: None Comments: The Fiche Anthropometrique is delivered only to bearers of the new format Carte d’Identite Nationale. The document is not available to Moroccan citizens under the age of 18 or third-country nationals. Moroccan citizens who are 16 or 17 years of age or current or former residents who are not citizens of Morocco should instead obtain an Extrait du Casier Judiciare. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Morocco.html
  12. Above post was split into a new thread. Please do not post questions in other members threads even if the situation is similar - please always start your own thread. VJ Moderation Correct It’s highly advisable.
  13. ~~ Topic moved from Bringing Family members of US citizens to America forum to AOS Work/tourist/student visas as this is now an adjustment of status case ~~ We advise for minors to file for one too. It’s a form of ID and proves lawful status for many things. That’s fortunate
  14. You clearly posted a question and this is not your thread. In fact you have your own thread on this very topic so feel free to post there. Thanks.
  15. ~~ Topic moved from IR1/CR1 forum to Bringing Family members of Permanent Residents to America ~~
  16. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 forum as this is now an AOS case ~~
  17. Hijack post removed. Post questions in your own thread instead of inserting them in other members threads. VJ Moderation
  18. Congratulations to the happy couple!
  19. Topic moved from IR1/CR1 forum to AOS work/student/tourist visas forum - this is not CR1 (which is consular processing) but AOS within the US.
  20. ~~ Topic moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports ~~ USCIS doesn’t send responses for RFEs. You just continue waiting until you get a notice for an interview or if your interview is waived, an approval.
  21. Topic moved from Tourist Visas (US) to regional forum: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus.
  22. Which means after uploading, the consulate MAY require you to submit originals, i.e. the consulate will look at them on CEAC and if they want originals they will ask you for that. And they didn’t, which makes the submission, in my view, unsolicited.
