  1. Hi everyone!

the waiting game for the AOS+EAD+AP is killing me and I was thinking of going back into flight school to do a course and keep myself current.

Does any of you know if I can do it with my pending status? I already have the basic American flight licences so I already got the TSA clearance done, if I wanted I know I can go and rent a helicopter and go for a fun flight. Just wondering if I can enrol in a class as well..

    Thank you all in advance!

First good news of 2020, as stated in the link attached, for whosever is filing for AOS in these days, is NOT required to fill the I-944 anymore!

"As long as the July 29, 2020, SDNY decision is in effect, USCIS will apply the 1999 public charge guidance that was in place before the Public Charge Rule was implemented on Feb. 24, 2020 to the adjudication of any application for adjustment of status on or after July 29, 2020. In addition, USCIS will adjudicate any application or petition for extension of nonimmigrant stay or change of nonimmigrant status on or after July 29, 2020, consistent with regulations in place before the Public Charge Rule was implemented; in other words, we will not apply the public benefit condition.

For applications and petitions that USCIS adjudicates on or after July 29, 2020, pursuant to the SDNY injunction, USCIS will not consider any information provided by an applicant or petitioner that relates to the Public Charge Rule, including information provided on the Form I-944, or information on the receipt of public benefits in Part 5 on Form I-539, Part 3 on Form I-539A or Part 6 on Form I-129. Applicants and petitioners whose applications or petitions are postmarked on or after July 29, 2020, should not include the Form I-944 or provide information about the receipt of public benefits on Form I-485, Form I-129, or Form I-539/I-539A."

  3. Hey guys, I have a K1 visa that will expire in mid August, so I'm currently in Zagreb, Croatia, doing the famous 14 days out the Schengen states to be able to enter the USA. When I entered Croatia, I've asked the officer to stamp my passport and he did with no problem.
If all goes well, I'll be leaving from Zagreb to Miami on July the 22nd via Istambul.

So who's in Zagreb too in these days?? Would love to meet someone in my same situation..

    Hi!

Your flight cannot stop in a country in the Schengen zone. I considered Croatia but the changes are not suitable.

I believe border control will know where and how long you have been in another country by your passport :)

It seems the only suitable ‘work around’ at the moment is Mexico until more flights get going, or the border reopens!

    Hi!
I saw that at the end of June a lot of flights are going with Turkish Airlines from Croatia and I was considering it too..
but if you are coming from another EU country they won't stamp your passport.. so I really don't know how to prove my stay beside the booking of an hotel or similar..

maybe once you enter Croatia, you can go to the police and register your presence???

Mexico too is an option, but right now Covid is raising and I'm afraid that Trump will block them too like he did with Brazil..

  5. Hey there!
as the travel ban for whoever has been to any of the 26 Schengen states continue, I'm starting to think about the possibility to go in another state like Croatia, Macedonia, Cyprus, Romania, Montenegro, ecc.. and then proceed to the USA.

I was wondering if any of you know the answers to these questions:

    1)    How can I prove officially my stay in one of the not affected states to the United States?

    2)    Would I have problems if the flight from Croatia to Miami, for example, made stopovers in countries affected by Trump's ban, but without exiting the airport? (like Croatia-Spain-Miami)

    3)    Has anyone done this already?

    Thank you in advance!
