  1. Hi everybody, hope you all are staying safe and healthy,

My case just changed from waiting for interview to be scheduled, to Interview was scheduled, since I'm not able to see yet for when it was scheduled, in current times, pandemic, snow storms, etc. how long does it take to actually receive the USCIS letter with the appointment date?

    Many Thanks for your inputs.

the advance parole says it expires 1/5/2021, Im really not very trusting that if they travel to Colombia they would be able to get back in since it says thats not guranteed

Even if you have a GC your entry is not guaranteed at all, but shouldn’t be an issue if you have no problems with the law, etc. many people travel with the Combo card without any issues, be positive and patient, the only thing that can be seen as an advantage is that if your interview is taking place after being married for more than 2 years you'll get the non-conditional GC.

  3. Don’t be surprised if you get your GC in the mail, I've seen in other forums, YouTube, etc. that for some people, even Family based related cases got their interviews waived due to the pandemic, delays, etc. Hope you are one of those lucky ones, I'm also in NY and my status appear as Ready for Interview since April and so far no changes....

  4. HI @Rahul86s  I’m kinda in the same pickle that you are, my L1-B expires at the end of the month, the only difference is that I got married to a US Citizen last year, which allows me to stay, at least while my AOS is on the works, however I’m really close to lose my job since I haven’t received my EAD, I contacted my HR Dept. and since the visa was already extended (3 + 2) there’s nothing that they can do. I’m not sure if you can file for an extension, I know the L1-B visa doesn’t allows that, in theory, but giving the circumstances, who knows..... What probably will play against you is that some Airlines are starting to schedule some of their flights.

    Anyway Good luck

  5. Hi There, hope everyone is staying safe and healthy,

By some reason the timelines in our similar cases is different, this probably because they dont follow the same pattern, etc.

AOS, EAD and AP submitted January 2020, updates:

AOS Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview on April 22nd

EAD Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken on March 12th

AP Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken on March 12th

There's many forums that are mentioning that some Family based GC interviews are being waived randomly in order to cope with the backlog, hopefully this will also apply to us.

In our case the main concern is the EAD, if I dont get it soon I'll be without a job (L1 Visa holder about to expire) thinking about asking for a congressional inquiry, any of you have consider using that as a resource?
