Phunky38927 got a reaction from NB5347 in K1 Visa I-129F Processing at CSC Now at 150 Days -- Total K1 Timeline Now 9 months
No matter how much research someone does there’s no exact timeline for anyone case. Every case is different some take longer some take shorter due to background checks and so forth. In each and every single case all we can do is be patient and know that our day will come regardless.
also interviews all depend on the country and their availability I’ve seen some timelines where people get in quick others that take months plus since we’re still in a pandemic everything is behind.
    Good luck to everyone waiting

    Hello!
In order to cancel your form you’ll  have to forward a withdrawal letter  either with the USCIS, NVC or US Embassy and to decide which one to address, it will depend on where your petition is with at the moment.
Include beneficiary and petitioner’s full names and the case number. Case number is crucial to manage any action taken regarding your form.
There are great template samples out there and it’ll help you immensely.
Explaining the reason for cancelling (as long as you feel comfortable with that) is a thumbs up, too.
    Best of luck!

Thank you for everyone helpful advice.
we decided to do a visit in the Republic of Ireland where both requires no visa.
as we personally don’t want to risk a denial and that type of mess it could lead to.

Thank you for clarifying You can be denied if you don't have a valid sponsor (your consulate most likely required the I-134). It was always this way though. If your finance doesn't make the requirement you can always have a joint sponsor. At the AOS part (once you are in the US) your sponsor would complete the I864 and you would complete the I944- yes it is possible to be denied at this point.... HOWEVER- if the US citizen used past public benefits that is okay- they are allowed to- they are looking to make sure you as the immigrant does not. As for medical insurance- the cheapest/easiest/best is often through the spouse- so you get married and get on your spouses plan. If spouse doesn't have a plan then your next step would be to purchase health insurance through healthcare.gov- immigrating and marriage are both life qualifying events in which you can enroll outside the open enrollment period. I believe you have 30 days to enroll after marriage or immigration- but you can find this on the site. JUST make sure you don't enroll yourself accidentally in a Medicaid plan. https://www.healthcare.gov/apply-and-enroll/get-ready-to-apply/

It would be considered in the totality of the circumstances. But a qualified co sponsor has been used in similar cases many times without issue.
On a practical level, what's the plans to cover general living expenses?

Within the first 90 days of entry, you can travel domestically perfectly fine. You're in status. Just do not leave the US as the K-1 visa is single use.
After the 90 days (if you haven't filed for AOS yet for some reason...avoid this!), you could probably fly domestically fine as well, but there is increased risk of running into enforcement compared to just sitting home.

Yes to everything except for the delays. You can update your phone number by calling the help line, there you can also confirm if your adress change is on file.

Anytime you move you need to change your address with USCIS. I believe the post office does not forward mail from USCIS but for regular mail you should put in that request.

    Good Morning,

I emailed the US Embassy in Johannesburg yesterday and this is the response i received regarding the K-1 interviews and processing this morning

I emailed them again letting them know the K-1 is not part of the Presidents Proclamation and they replied doubling down

    "Dear Sir or Madam,

    Thank you for your email.

All routine visa processing has been suspended until 30 December 2020 due to the Presidential Proclamation for coronavirus. There are exceptions for IR1/IR2s, CR1/2s visas.  We are not conducting any visa interviews at the moment and awaiting guidance on how to process and scheduled visa interviews.

We can understand your frustration. And at the same time, we can only give you information when we have it.  There is also a system of many others in your same situation.  This is a pandemic and everything has been turned upside down.  We are following U.S. Government rules on when we can interview and open up to the public.

We are currently working from home and NOT processing visas at the moment, please check our website for more information

Thank you guys. Sadly I will be mailing off the letter today. Things have taken a turn for the worst and it’s just best to axe it instead of getting married aos etc being little more money then a divorce I’ve seen enough stories where people change living together then they divorce and stuff so it’s just the better decision

Thank you. I hope I won’t have to use the advice given to me on how to withdrawal the visa. However, I am glad I didn’t react and put a letter in the mailbox. That would of been a nightmare on its own 😂 Thank you everyone for your advice

Correct I know...I am going to give it a few weeks and see if we manage to work it out. If not then I’ll proceed I don’t want to act on hurt and sadness. I’ll take this information and go by it if I need to proceed with it.

    Hi guys,
I am very upset, lost and confused. I don’t want to air out my issue on this forum. My relationship sadly isn’t working out as I wanted to. How do I go about withdrawing the application I know I have to write a letter but, what does it need to include. Also if it’s at CSC which lockbox do I mail it to?
    thank you 💔

include case number both names and both DOB's so they don't have to guess
and this is done by USC only

If it’s at CSC, you send the letter to the CSC address printed on the receipt letter.

What would your stress level be if you just went about your daily life and not be on Facebook, Instagram or even VJ. Sometimes walking the path of the sweet smell of clover and the birds singing is much better than the walk on hot coals through dark crevasse. Just my outlook on how you approach the current atmosphere. I've walked this same journey and I took the high road and I/we got through this. We had to wait 14 months to have the GC approved so I know what waiting is. That is only 426 days, but you are only into this for a fraction of that timeline. So, my recommendation is to find something to keep your mind from this.

I understand the stress as I’m in the visa process with my fiancé. My fiancé and I realized that reading forums and scrolling would induce our panic even worse. It’s just best to think of it as a process pandemic or not that will eventually hit the end and we will be reunited. As difficult as it is emotionally, financially and physically at the end of the day it’ll be worth it. Sadly, no one on forums will have the correct info as they don’t work for the DOS and if they post incorrect info it gets someone hopes up.
I think what bothers me the most is someone can act as if there’s no pandemic and it’s only them.when there’s hundreds if not thousands of us in the same boat

I think everyone is just in a rush to be united with their loved ones. However, they aren’t the only ones and need to stop acting as if someone can wave a fairy wand and make it go by faster. The visa process requires a TON of  patience pandemic or not. also no one truly knows as things can change at the drop of the hat. so it’s just better to follow all the local websites for that country instead of constantly asking left and right.
    blessings
