The people at the biometrics facilities are contractors. All they know are fingerprints and photos and where to put them.

Submit it online. I submitted it online as well couple weeks ago. 

Looks like they issued you an RFE today. It was just a coincidence that you also have your biometrics today also. Still attend your appointment today. You said you received an online access code right? I believe you can see the RFE letter and what they’re requesting.

I was wondering the same thing! I have the letter now and it looks like this was the form they used to have you fill in at the appointment but now they send it to you to complete at home and bring in with you. I assume this is a change that was introduced as part of the safety measures they use to manage covid.
 
My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow so I'll post an update after.

Hi Guys! 
An update - I went online on USCIS Account and under I-485 Application - “Documents” section found my biometrics appointment letter. It was dated on Aug-21 
It is a 2 page document with the fist page about the detail and venue of my biometrics, the second page had an Applicants Information Worksheet(AIW) 
question- Are you we supposed to fill this section before the biometrics interview or is this something they will fill from the field office ? 
maybe anyone in the group who has already finished their biometrics can help me on this? 
also, who are waiting for biometrics appointment letter can check their account online , and you may find your electronic letter already sent to you. ( physical email might take another couple days)

My documents only 4 files uploaded too. I read from many people above I think it the same problem but I think it should be fine. I just got biometrics appointment on 14 Aug. Hopefully you will get one soon

Mine got delivered on July 19th to Chicago Lockbox. Still waiting. It's been one month already.

Hi… I requested a new online access code yesterday and today they email me back with in 24 hours with the access code online. Now I can be able to track my case. Very quick! and easy!

I think so. Surely they wouldn't schedule our biometrics if they didn't have all the docs they need to prove that we qualify for biometrics.
 
But what do I know lol.

Yes, I had my all 3 notices starting with IOE- 
did not get a fourth mail with code or any further instructions.
when you say instructions. What does that actually mean ? 
my I-765 notice only had saying “If we determine you must submit biometrics , we will mail you a biometrics appointment notice with the time and place of your appointment”
maybe I’ll have to wait for another letter. 

I did. It was printed on the I-797 letter they sent out (NOA1) along with instructions on how to set up an account on the USCIS web site. It's very easy to set up

it’s good to see there’s some movement on July AOS filers. 

It was an error in my spelling of last name like one Alphabet.

I hope they made a mistake just in my mailing address and not in the forms they are going to process. 

Good luck with your application, we have almost the same time-line, except I’m still waiting for my Receipt Notices in the mail. 
AOS packet was sent out on 12th July as well 😂

Hello all, 
 
I filed AOS for both parents from B1/B2 Visas: (Submitted I-485, I-864W, I-131, I-693)
 
• 12 July: Mailed both AOS packets via FedEx 
• 15 July: Delivered later than I paid for but, packets arrived to and signed for at Chicago
• 19 July: Received four text notifications “USCIS: Your case was received.” 
• 20 July: Both Money Orders cashed
• 22 July: Received four I-797c IOE Receipt Notices in the mail (two I-485s / two I-131s for both parents). Processing Center is National Benefits Center (at least according to the envelope). 
• Priority Date: 10 June 2021. It took me a whole month to find the motivation to compile and assemble both packets after submitting my I-130 Petitions online. I’m a Millenial. I prefer to submit these packets ONLINE. 😂 But, I am forever grateful to the existence of this VJ site and the panel of experts, who took the time to answer my questions whenever I started overthinking the verbiage on these forms. Shoutout to @Chancy and @arken for inadvertently always coming through when I needed it, and who evidently takes the time to help a lot of us hapless folks on here, along with the other experts and experienced folks.You’re the real MVP!

Hello guys! 
just an update from my side, we sent our package on the 12th July and got the three text messages starting with USCIS: your case was received and case number starting with IOE , official Form I-797 to be followed in mail. 
another update with SSN application, I was called today in the SSN administration office as I’ve already applied for it 3 weeks ago with my I-94 and for some reason the application was not receiving at the homeland security department. So they gave me an acknowledgment receipt and asked to wait for 2 weeks time, if it’s approved I’ll have my SS card in mail, if not it will take another 30-45 days to approve. (We did the SSN application separate and not part of the I-485 package 😌🥲, looks like we made a mistake now 😭)

No you did not  make a mistake filing for your SS card first.  In fact it's  often faster. I also filed before the AOS and had no problems. I'm sure you are in the SAVE system by now. You'll have your card in a month or so well before your AOS is done.
