    We met when I was a J1 summer of 2018. Spent wonderful 3 months together and then I had to leave, it was hard supporting the relationship long distance so we stopped talking for couple months after I left but eventually began again and decided we meant to be together and filled for K1 visa early April 2019. Chris visited me in Russia in May and August we were approved (yay!). I went to my interview in Moscow mid October 2019 and got in US November 6. We got married December 2 of 2019 and then filled for AOS then Covid hit and we only got my green card interview in November 2020, got approved and few days after I received my first conditional green card by mail.

    You’re right. I just have to be patient. Especially with Boston FO having a history of taking awhile with n-400 submitted under 3 year rule. USCIS listed Boston FO processing time at 7,5 months for N-400. My case would reach that at the end of March. Would you advise me to take some action then, or just give it time and kind of let it go. My GC is not expiring until 2026 so time is what I definitely have. Thank you for your advice!

    At 25 days until decision mark my status changed to “Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.” 😭 No updates on I-751 either… I feel like I will be the only one left waiting in this thread.. So much to thinking this step will be easier than all others before

    Same. Applied for I-751 in September 2022. NOA and biometrics reuse, nothing since (Vermont service center). Applied for N-400 mid August 2023 online under 3 year rule, NOA and biometrics reuse. Case is being actively reviewed since the day I applied. I’ve been following this forum a lot and I see folks under three year rule who applied later than me got their interviews or are already sworn in. Don’t know how/why this happens.

    You got this! You know and have the answers for everything. You’re prepared. Once you’re there in the moment you’ll be much more calmer than now. It’s hard not to think of worst case scenarios when it comes to these things. Just take it one step at a time and shall things come up you will address them as they come.     Ok, that doesn’t sound too bad. I was able to find the same info just now. So looks like I did everything correctly. OMG I’m relieved, thank you for replying quickly. It’s been a while since I applied so I don’t remember these details, but I’m sure I followed whatever direction was given as I was signing the form, so I should be in the clear. Thank you!

    Hi everyone! I’m freaking out a bit. So is it true if you file N-400 online your signature at the end must be handwritten?? I just typed out my name as there were no instructions that it must be while I was doing so. I was just casually browsing Reddit and found a question about and and did a further research and found that a separate file for N-400 instructions on the USCIS website mentions that “A stamped or typewritten name in place of a signature is not acceptable”. Did I mess this up? How did you sign your form if you filed online? I’m honestly so upset now, I don’t know what to do…

    Yes, I’m in the same boat. Applied on August 15, status case is being actively reviewed since that day. My 3 year anniversary was on 11/9.

    Has anyone submitted their I-751 notices in addition to n-400 application? I have not. But I’m reading in this forum now that it’s a good practice to include that I-751 is pending and also ask for a possibility of a combo interview. I know that USCIS should put two and two together but it seems like in some cases you show up for n-400 and they don’t approve your ROC and you have to wait more. Does it make sense for me to submit I-751 online into additional documents together with sort of a cover letter that mentions combo interview? Will it slow down the review since I’m submitting something additional 3 months after application? Or should I leave things be as they are?

    Hello fellow August 2023 N-400 fillers! I applied under 3 year rule (marriage-based) on 08/15/23, 6 days after my 90 day window has started. My full 3 years will be completed on 11/09/23. I also have I-751 pending since September 2022 with no updates other than biometric reuse and 48-month extension letter. N-400 filed online and received NOA and Biometric reuse the same day (08/15). I then forgot about it, but since checking this thread and seeing majority get their interviews I got in the habit of checking my USCIS account twice a week. My estimated case decision went from 7 months to 5 within a few weeks, and then dropped to 4 beginning of November. Logged in today and saw that it’s back to 7 months. I’m slightly worried. Although, I know these time frames don’t mean much, but has anyone experienced similar? I also am hopeful now that my 90 early fill date is coming to an end, I should expect some movement on my case soon. Would love to hear what people think!

    Hi! I will become eligible to apply for citizenship on August 9th 2023. I do have an international trip to my home country booked for less than 2 weeks right prior to this date. I will leave US on the 1st and come back on the 12th. I have been residing in the same state since first coming here on my K1 visa and will not be moving any time soon. My confusion is with the 3 months residency prior to filling N-400 out. I am planning to apply soon as I come back to the states and assuming I’m good on this rule? I’m just being paranoid and seek confirmation that that’s ok (or not). Important: I’ve been outside of US for a total of 66 days (including upcoming August trip) since I move here. I potentially also will be traveling to Mexico for a week in October (but that’s just in planning stage), so would also appreciate opinions on that as well. I think as long as we don’t miss any USCIS notices we’ll be good. Thank you!
