I resubmitted my marriage certificate on the 8th, they said they received it on the 8th. One the 23rd I was being actively reviewed and then got approval today

I suggest you go over that guide with your significant other. He is the immigrant, so it is HIS legal status on the line. It is and will be HIS responsibility to keep up with it.  The CR1 visa is really only the first step. As I said in the first page, your significant other's green card's validity will be dependent on WHEN exactly he is approved.
 
For the sake of ease, if you guys marry on 1/1/2022 and are approved BEFORE 1/1/2024, he will be issued a CR1 visa and he will be a CONDITIONAL resident with a 2-year green card ONLY. He must file I-751 (which has its own filing fee) 90 days or less before his 2-year green card expires. He can then apply for citizenship when eligible or simply remain a legal permanent resident.
 
If you guys marry on 1/1/2022 and are approved AFTER 1/1/2024, he will be issued an IR1 visa and he will be a LEGAL permanent resident and receive a 10-year green card. No I-751 necessary but he will need to file I-90 before his green card expires to receive a new 10-year green card OR apply for citizenship (which has its own filing fee) when eligible. 
 
Every step until citizenship has its own filing fees, processing times and details and must be researched well in advance.

Wanted to update you guys, that my case is now actively being reviewed since yesterday! Hopefully Monday or Tuesday I get approved 

They sent us RFE for marriage certificate.....which I submitted with the petition to begin with....so I resent the copy I uploaded again. I just don't understand, did they not look through the whole file the first time

I got notification from the lawfully app then i just checked case status 

Hi not sure if the poster willbe back but i do know that to do a expedite request you must call a number. 

I filed in Feb 2020, still waiting. I called them yesterday to see what was going on, all they told me its that its still within processing times, that I have no red flags so not to worry.....if there's nothing wrong about my case why can't they already approve it and move on

I know it is pretty said that the cases are taking longer than expected. I found one thing that might help you is that you asked them kindly review your case to expedite. I requested last week and I was approved today. They notified that your case being actively review your case" and within 24 hrs I got the approval. You can give it a try. All the very best!!
