    Hi Tymani,

Did you figure out what to do?

I'm in the same situation as your right now, me being the petitioner and my father (who has listed me as a dependent) filling an i-864.

    I really appreciate your response!

We filed with the household size of "2" and didn't include his income as household income. Everything is moving smoothly so far. It should be just fine as long as you either meet the income requirement or have a joint-sponsor, like we did.

    Good luck!

  2. We checked on our I-485 that we would like USCIS to forward our information to the SS office and generate a new social security number. We only did this because our local SS office was closed due to covid-19. We can now get an appointment at the office, and a social security number. Is this still advisable after checking "yes" on our form? Will the overlap cause any issues with our application? Other thoughts?

    Thanks!

  3. Hello,

I received an RFE for my i-944 and am currently filling it out. For "household size" we should include the beneficiary filling out the i-944 and myself (her spouse) - 2.

My father, who listed me as a dependent, is also our joint sponsor and filled out an i-864. Do we include him and his income as part of our household in the i-944? The instructions state that someone who lists you as a dependent should be included. But I am the spousal household member, not the declarant. The declarant is not listed as a dependent anywhere.

    Thanks!

Awesome, if i have  connection in Canadian airport i will be able to enter to US ?

It is always up to the discretion of the border officer. But, at least at this specific border crossing, their immigration desk said they are accepting K1 visas as essential travel. Take what I say with a grain of salt - these are confusing and volatile times - but at least it is encouraging. Good luck.
