Congrats but I’m still here from January 2020. My interview is March 19th.

Thank you so much. I filed in Jan and still waiting on Interview so I’m a bit gutted to be honest but I’m happy for you. Please let us know if they do same day oath. Good luck.

I haven't posted in a while but it's good to see people are getting interviews and same day oath. I filed in NYC but I moved to Virginia so my case is with the Norfolk Field office. I don't know what is going on at that office but no interview as yet and myucis says the standard, we are taking longer than expected ...
If anyone know anything about Norfolk, let me know. Congrats and good luck to everyone still waiting, we are almost there.
PS, can the person who have access to the spreadsheet change my field office to Norfolk? Thank you.

Credit to Amy Klobuchar and all the senators who signed and send this letter to USCIS. I think USCIS should be able to do video interviews and even zoom meetings for OATH ceremonies. What do you guys think?

Before moving, make sure you are aware of what the potential implications are:

July 23, 2019. I751 pending. 3year rule
When I went on the USCIS website they had a notice about transferring cases. But when I searched for my zipcode it did come up at Queens. If you're in the Bronx it seems you can either be Queens or NY NY field office depending on your zipcode.

This makes a lot more sense than what the USCIS rep told me. I appreciate the response, thank you.

I don’t think it a big deal, since you have never voted 🗳 or lie, that was a mistake.
in my i751 I forget to add my husband’s son, so when I was call for the interview I was shaking and I wanted to call a lawyer, but I was broke so I didn’t. We went to interview he asked us about my husband’s child name, and it wasn’t a big deal. Relax, don’t stress yourself.
maybe contact a lawyer and ask him or her if it a big deal. Which I think it not.
it is well

It is, my friend applied January last year in Tampa, he sent me a pic of his passport in April.

@Sartre I'm with you. If you can move to another city for 6 months and get it done, might as well do so. I really wish I could, even now I'm wishing I could move.

Yaadman20 got a reaction from Giovanna024 in N-400 Dec 2019 Filers
Honestly, if it wasn't for school, I would've moved to Tampa, Cleveland or upstate NY 3 months prior to applying. I wasn't thinking, I was here saying school takes precedence and it's too expensive to move without certain things in place. If anyone wants to move, I really don't blame them because the wait times in some of these field offices are atrocious-- especially mine, in New York City.

You definitely applied within your eligibility for 5yr-based rule....that rep can kick rocks 😂
Suggestion: join the January 2020 n400 filers group (if you haven't yet) and there are threads for NY filers for the various centers.

Based on the date you filed 01/04/2020, you are fine with the date You were very smart not to apply on the early date of April 2, 2020 because of difficulties a a few others have had applying on the official date. Really, you caught a person that didn't understand the issue and she gave you bad information. Enjoy NY and just let the process run its course....

I think I might get approval today from Amadia.
It's April 1st 2015.

I applied based off 5-year family sponsored greencard. I basically applied 4 years and 9 months into having it. Based on what you just said, it seems like early filing is only available for marriage based?
Also, I did get a lot of valuable information.

People can be interviewed in the 90 day period prior to their anniversary but they can't take the oath until they hit the 5 year mark.
Anyway in your case that 3 months is just going to count towards the (long) wait time for the interview so it's still useful.

Yaadman20 reacted to cacolac323 in N400s Filed at Manhattan (NYC) Field Office
If the early processing didn't actually start the processing, there would be no point to it.
Picture this: Your 5 year anniversary is July 1. You file 90 days early (April 1). But they only start working on it July 1. .. Well, you could have just mailed your application on July 1, and it would be the same.
So yes, the whole point of Early filing is precisely that the processing will start immediately, even if it's 90 days earlier than your anniversary date

Yaadman20 got a reaction from Giovanna024 in N-400 Dec 2019 Filers
Yea, like @Sartresaid, I applied within the rules, I just wanted confirmation on if they actually suspends the case after biometrics and wait on the 3-year and 5-year to hit.
BTW sorry about what happened to you. I know people who got denied for filing early and I know a girl who applied for hers at 22 only to find out that her parents gained citizenship when she was a teenager so she was already a citizen. I know how frustrating it is but it's good that you got to re-file.
