So is dating violence. Again, people with multiple DV charges and convictions had their case processed in the CSC. Each case is unique. My arrest was not significant/ minor in nature. I was never convicted.  I do not see it going to VSC for that reason. However, you never know - just like you don't know
 

No, my arrest would not fall under AWA. 

Payxibka tends to be very bitter in his/ her responses. Does not take anything into consideration besides his/ her own opinion. I wouldn't entertain this individual much.

Not sure what your problem is mate but "perpetuating something you know isn't true" is a funny way of categorizing the sharing of information received directly from the relevant local US Embassy.

The global suspension of visa processing doesn't appear to have lifted so it's unclear if that has an unpublished expiration date, embassies can start operations at their leisure, or the that the state department may ask the above examples to pause longer.
 
I would strongly advice watching embassy news sites, embassy twitter feeds (including their replies to other) as these are the official US government updates on these matters, and that appointments opening without the embassies acknowledging it may be a limitation of their systems on how long the interviews can be paused for.
 

With literally everything that is reopening and Europe that is doing definitely well, I truly hope that this travel ban will be lifted as soon as possible and that Embassies will reopen by July. But then again, I don’t want to get my hopes up because at this point we don’t have any way to know. And I absolutely believe that it would be helpful for all those hundreds of thousands of people that have been waiting in the dark to at least know when their Consulate or Embassy is planning on resuming services, exactly as USCIS did.

What’s the factor that is preventing them to reopen, in your opinion? This waiting game is honestly getting quite ridiculous, especially because we have no information even though we’ve been waiting for months. 

Embassies follow the rules of the country that they are in.

No official announcements yet but the Ph govt is allowing businesses to open by June 1st. 
 
I think they will start to accept  USC services but not Visa interviews. (TBA)

Lol. My fiance and I are not actively checking our status because everything was on lockdown but I think Manila will open by June 1st so im back here.

Yes, I agree this seems to be pointing to services being restored but they are doing it in "junks" seems to me. Simple things first then onto the more difficult services like immigration visas. Stay tuned you should be hearing something soon.

K1 is a immigrant visa treated as a non immigrants visa because of the conditions are based upon marriage after arrival. They kind of group us with spousal with some differences. So you will get a lot of messages that really pertain to CR-1 (automated). You don’t need to create a account just go to the ceac site and complete the DS 160 under non immigrant. You can also check the status of your case with your number just make sure to select immigrant when doing it. It’s all in the pdf as well. 

If something changes, I usually will update the PDF. Completing the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application can still be completed by you at any time.
 
First, they prefer that your case is interviewed within that four-month "window" indicated on the NOA2. If it is required, the NOA2 can be extended up to a year by your Embassy but with good reason and the Embassy doesn't need to extend the NOA2 for the "one" year from expiration. The new extension, if approved, will be for an additional 4 months. Extensions are in the form of 4-month extension with each approval till you reach one year. If you need to go beyond a year, then you must go to the end of the line and begin the process from I-129f over again and pay the fees. You must provide a reason for the NOA2 extension when requesting the extension from your Embassy.

The DS-160 is good as long as your info is current it doesn’t expire

@Greenbaum I received my case and inoice number from the NVC. Can I complete and submit my DS-160, or should I wait? Anything else I can do at this moment? 

Good day! I wanted to ask something, my petition is still at the NVC, my fiancée hasn't received anything in the mail or email since they got it, I understand all visas are on hold however, our NOA2 expires by July 31st, at this point while everything is so unclear I'm afraid embassies will not be open by that date, how do I request an extension for my NOA2? Is it done by my fiancée since the file is still in the US or is it done by me even though the embassy has no record of our petition yet? Can someone walk me through it? How do I do it? Thanks in advance

This could be a problem. The petition asks specifically if you have ever been arrested. Emphasis on 'ever.' It is in plain English.
 
I would prepare for it to come up during the interview. Provide all of the court and police documents to your fiance(e), along with a good explananation. Best case scenario the officer won't bring it up. Worst case scenario this will be questioned, and the visa will be denied as a result failing to disclose your arrest. I hole the odds are in your favor my friend. It is a silly thing to get denied for.
