There is no secret. We sent a very complete, thorough package that included evidence since our green card was approved, and it took 18 months. -
Dress Code for Oath Ceremony - Kilt
Rocio0010 replied to Malcolm's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
I had my oath ceremony this Tuesday and I saw a big range of attires. Some were very casual, but most of us were business formal. I believe I also saw some cultural attires. You will be just fine with the kilt! That's part of who you are!- 11 replies

N400 interview scheduled!
Rocio0010 replied to Rocio0010's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Ha! Yes, they are very cute and friendly. Unfortunately in the last few years you see them more and more in the city because of deforestation and destruction of their habitats. Argentina has all kinds of weather, and weather- related activities. There is literally something to see in every region of the country. I love Buenos Aires itself -a mix of Europe. It’s cosmopolitan, yet hippie at the same time. Definitely the best (and most expensive !) restaurants in the country. If he likes mountains and dry weather, try the north. The State of Jujuy limits with Bolivia, the land is full of minerals and this renders hills that have literally fourteen soil colors in them. If he likes snow, Patagonia (South) is the place to visit. The glaciers are there, and they are astounding. Lots of ski- related activities. On the west side you have the beautiful State of Mendoza, with the Andes mountains and he could actually visit Mount Aconcagua. The Aconcagua is the second tallest mountain in the world -second only to Mount Everest. The Andes mountains and the weather make Mendoza a leader wine producer -he could take a wine tour! Having been to all these places, I have to say that my number one recommendation is to visit the Iguazu Falls, which are on the East of the country limiting with Brazil. They are the tallest natural waterfalls of the world -and if I’m not mistaken, they are one of the World’s Seven Wonders. I know for sure they are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I can guarantee you he’s never seen anything like it! -

Why worry about something that hasn't happened yet? And if it did, you have no control over it. -
Filing under 3 year rule- Questions (Merged)
Rocio0010 replied to Gdhusa18's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
How did your spouse get his green card? -
But you haven’t answered the question; if it is a TRUE emergency and bringing your sister will take years AND money is not an issue, why not just hire someone here? Or does your sister have highly specific knowledge and skills to help your mom? (In which case she should come on a work visa). I guess my question is: what is it that your sister can do that others can’t?
-
So if money isn’t an issue, and considering the urgency of the situation, why are you trying to bring your sister instead of just hiring someone in the US to do the job?
