Have any one here who got packet# 3 got any paper titled with the following:

"Instructions for Immigrant Visa Applicants"

Becuase this above wording doesn't match other paper work image that was posted here in Vjers, the images I saw here in Vjers was titled

"Additional instructions for obtaining a nonimmigrant visa to marry and reside in the United State"

And another image aslo here in Vjers said

"Visa Instructions for Fiance Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants"

Also I got through the fax a weired form numbered DS-2001 titled

"Notification of Applicant Readiness"

Please help if you got any of the above wording or different please post, and if you got the last form.

l have a question for you here, l don´t have an interview date yet but being positive if l got the interview date for february or early march, is it still good to show at the interview my husband income taxes for 2006. They ask for the last year income taxes. This is 2008 and he doens´t have the 2007 income taxes yet. When can he start to get this new income taxes for 2007.

I am not at the interview stage yet, but no big deal I was going to only show three year of income tax transcript 04+05+06, and one of the other requirement was to have some of the pay check-stubs, which I was going to include the last one I had for 2007, moreover I believe I will have the W-2 from my employer so that I can give a copy of that with my wife, I think this is enough income proof

Of course all this is part of the required support document for form I-134, so don't forget in addition to the income tax transcript there will be the following items too:

- A formal letter from employer showing status of employment [full time, part time, temp, permanent] also salary, and position, and start date, and if currently working or not

- A formal letter from a bank for a checking/saving account showing Current balance + Date account was opened + total deposited amount in the past year

- Life insurance certificate, if any

- Any personal property documents

I think all the above should be suffice enough for I-134

Well I have called and called and called, no one asnwers there, but after calling 50 times the person who is working on sending me the packet # 3 answered the phone, he was suppose to send it to my wife's address, but he told me that he sent it to me in US, huh , but that didn't happen I told him, and I added if he can send the whole packet# 3 to me by fax or to my email, he said he can send it by fax, and asked me my fax number, I don't have fax at home, so I gave him my work fax, and I was so happy, I went to work at almost 12:00am to pick the fax, it was hussle to do so at that time, I went back to home and looked it was the WRONG PACEKT, it belong to Immigrant Visa Applicants, not even orginzed, few things staff togather, I GOT CRAZY,

So I went to the internet to search for digital fax, and signed up for a one of the fax plan the have online, and sent a fax to the same number I got the fax from explaning the error that happened, I also called but no one asnwers, moreover I sent the same explanation via email to the embassy.

And no answer so far, so waiting waiting ...

I read and researched that packet # 3 contain the following:

- Instruction pages, and check list where have to sign at the end of it

- DS-230

- DS-156 but this to be filled online

- DS-156K

So, who ever got their packet # 3 and allready sent it out, did you had to fill and print a form called DS-2001 (NOTIFICATION OF APLLICANT READINESS)?

Also would you be kind the share what you have sent back to the embassy from packet # 3?

I am thinking to collect packet# 3 and send it to the embassy without waiting on them to send me packet# 3

Thanks for the info., but I didn't know they can send the packet# 3 to me as well, when I commnuicated with the embassy with emails, they said that they have mailed the packet to my wife address and never mentioned that they have sent me a copy, I will try to call the embassy tomorrow to see what the heck is going on.

Yes, its hard to figure out. I got packet 3 here, and then forwarded it to my wife. They said that the sent P3 to my wife and copy to me, my wife still has not gotten her copy, and we returned P3 almost a month ago. The date on the P3 letter was about 10 days before the post mark date. She should get it soon I hope, if she doesn't and you do, then send your copy to her, don't wait for the one the "sent."

I don't know what's happening with my case, My wife didn't get packet# 3, even though they said they have mailed the packet 8 days a go, I am starting to wonder why packet# 3 is so mysterious with everybody, everyone I know (friends , relative ..tc) had their packet#3 come late where the embassy claim they have sent it.

Sorry I have been away busy with my job and my school(final exams), here is the update on my case

- I emailed the embassy imm. info. email and an auto reply came telling me that they are going to be closed for holydays

- Just yesterday I got an email from the Embassy after stating that they have received the electronic file, and that they have mailed me the information + packet (I would assume packet# 3)

- I am waiting to see what my wife will receive then send her all the forms papers that I have prepared in express mail.

But does any one know what is the electronic file? I thought they should get the actual physical file not electronic file.

BIG NEWS!!! I JUST SPOKE TO THE AMERICAN EMBASSY IN PERU AND WAS TOLD TO TELEPHONE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND IF OUR APPLICATION IS IN THE SYSTEM. I CAN SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW FOR THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY 2008!! I SAW FROM THE PREVIOUS VJ PERU MEMBERS IT TAKES APPROX 4 - 5 DAYS TO ENTER IN THE SYSTEM. SO, IF ALL GOES WELL "MY HONEY" WILL BE HERE BEFORE JANUARY IS FINISHED... I'M HOPING AND PRAYING WEDNESDAY IS GOING TO HAVE K3 IN THE EMBASSY SYSTEM. THEN ITS TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE FLIGHT TO BRING "MY HONEY" HOME!!!

Today my hopes for an interview date to be scheduled before the holidays was crushed. I didn't expect the interview to be conducted before the interview mind you, just that it would be schedule for January or something. I guess we will have to just wait through the holidays not knowing.

-As for my transcript I ordered them through the phone, but a real person talked to me, after few transfers from one to another, but would you mind if you give me the phone number you used.

For question 32 on DS156, my wife answered "No", but that is because we have no plans for her to work in the forseeable future. If your wife intends to work after arriving, you can put "Yes". In the sample form on VJ the have added in the employer address field put "WITH WORK AUTHORIZATION, EMPLOYER UNKNOWN"

My transcripts took 3 days to arrive, I ordered them over the phone on the automated system. By looking at my transcripts, I see nothing that would seem to indicate that mine were printed from the internet, but rather from some internal IRS system. Nothing is cut off from the margin. I don't know what else to say on this.

Lastly, your wife will need to take the original marriage certificate to the interview along with a copy. You should send it to her (note they will not keep the original, but she should have it with her).

I am bringing my wife with K3 visa, what should I answer to this question, yes we will later apply for green card, so should all K3 visa answer Yes to this question?

One of the support evidence document is the tax transcript, I see folks here mention that it takes a week or two to get the transcript from IRS, I called IRS and I got the transcript with 48 hours, put I noticed that the envelope was prepared manually meaning the clerk wrote my address in an envelope and sent it,

More over the report/transcript seem to be printed out of the internet, with margin hiding last character of the number or some words, do you thing this is normal and the embassy will accept?

Great news, I hope our case will follow.

Just called in, and my case isn't yet in NVC , now I will really wait for a week before I call.

I still have hope that my case is in this wave of cases that went to NVC from USCIS, and that the NVC is just working on this load to be entered into the system.

I wasn't going to call but I saw that some folks here got their case to reach NVC, so I said here it is the one a month wave of cases going to NVC from USCIS.

So I just called NVC, this is my second calling to NVC since I was approved, and from my first calling and other people calling we all can agree that the operators in NVC are very nice, but not the one I got tonight he is like why are you calling attitude , I didn't say anything, because if my case isn't in their system then that's it and I don't want to on, I thanked and hung up the phone, I will try to call on Friday or next week Tuesday.

I just called NVC at 07:35AM EST, was waiting for 5 minutes, then I got to speak to an operator, and the laidy said that they have up to 90 days to get the case and process it but usualy it's done within 4 to 6 weeks, but she told me to call in every week.

So far it's been 3 weeks since the NOA2

And the wait continue..

but acording to Urge to Race post in another thread, which he took from the empassy info link in VJers, I have the chance to go with my wife to the interview if that happen in Addis, Ethio

I checked the IV appointment schedule and finally got a date.
