Happy Thanksgiving! Even though today is a work day in Canada, we still celebrate both Thanksgiving Days. Got some turkey and pumpkin pie. A bit less than the Canadian thanksgiving, but wife's birthday was yesterday and she's worn out from all the stuff we did, so didn't get much time for prep. On the bright side, the only game worth watching today is later.

Happy Thanksgiving! I've been thinking about all the things I can be thankful for this year: my parents are still healthy and strong, my sister finally found love with a very good man, and I have been directing my life to go in the way that I want it for the first time in a decade. I have a loving fiance who thinks I'm perfectly flawed, and who I know will always have my back. I have a roof over my head, food in my belly, and a wedding to plan. For all its faults and its craziness, I live in what I think is the most amazing and bountiful country in the world. I am thankful for it all. I certainly didn't earn it all, and part of the thanks I'm giving today will be to make several charitable donations for those who need it more than I do. I want to encourage those of you who have the means to do so too.

Peace and bounty to you all. ❤️

Trump often boasts of donating his White House pay, but taxpayers are shelling out much larger sums for his hobby. By S.V. Date 11/27/2019 05:13 PM ET             The president’s motorcade arrives at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Nov. 27, 2019. Trump is spending Thanksgiving week at his nearby Mar-a-Lago estate.  (Susan Walsh/ASSOCIATED PRESS) With his Thanksgiving vacation, President Donald Trump’s golf hobby has now cost Americans an estimated $115 million in travel and security expenses ― the equivalent of 287 years of the presidential salary he frequently boasts about not taking.
Of that amount, many hundreds of thousands ― perhaps millions ― of dollars have gone into his own cash registers, as Secret Service agents, White House staff and other administration officials stay and eat at his hotels and golf courses.

Who needs a salary when you and your family can use your office to profit personally? Just the Trump Towers in Turkey alone makes for a good reason to give Erdogan what ever he wants. Then there are the Mar A Lago bills ever other week, the empty hotel rooms booked by Saudis, Kushner working in the Whitehouse while working international deals.

The picatta was wonderful. Start with 1# thin sliced veal, Use a light dusting of wondra  or 00 flour with salt, pepper and dry herbs.

Cook in 5 tablespoons of butter (KerryGold is my favorite) about 4 min per side. Squeeze in one whole lemon and add capers.  And turn the heat off.  15 minutes to glory.
Edit : press all the moisture off the veal before dipping in flour with a paper towel, too much moisture kills the browning and makes the flour gunk up.

    1. This thread is not about the Impeachment. McGhan has been avoiding testifying on potential obstruction of Justice by the President and this legal battle is almost a year old.
    2. If you would ask a straight forward question with suppositions like " what are the allegations against the president?" I would answer. Your questions read like "when did you stop beating your wife? An example is the term again, show me where you asked me for the allegations the first time?

Here is the gist of the questions:
Did Trump ask Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter? Did Trump withhold military aid to pressure the Ukrainians into opening an investigation into the Bidens?  Did the Trump administration try to cover up Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine?
