Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from OldUser in B-2 Visa for my brother
It is his journey, you can do nothing to influence it

Sparkle Sparkle reacted to OldUser in Left for good the USA in the end of 2019 and returning as a tourist for 1 week with ESTA
I'm not saying they'll deny you 100%. But CBP can deny any tourist from entering the US, they have the right to. You should definitely bring some documentation with you.

Bring your GC with you, enter with your esta and be prepared to answer questions. When you left permanently in 2019, did you notify immigration or anyother relevant authority ?

Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from OldUser in Is there an expiration on AOS, once you have married?
As everyone above already stated, yes you can stay until your case has been adjudicated. However, it is to your disadvantage if you wait and waste time after you have received your marriage certificate file immediately

Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from OldUser in Got my interview time and am travelling abroad a few days later [merged threads]
If the situation cannot be helped, my advice is that you have waited all this while for this, You cannot afford to have it messed up....talk to your HR see if they can do something about your work trip.

Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from OldUser in Divorce before or after filing i-751
No need to complicate an already complicated issue. Just file for a divorce and remove your conditions with a waiver

Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from chrissandra in How long does it take to get Green Card after approval? In a bit of a problem.
Why risk it? They have been benevolent enough to grant you approval without interviewing. The least you can do is postpone the trip , like they said he might experience trouble entering. More so, if you don’t have the green card in hand don’t make any plans. What if it gets lost in the mail?

Sparkle Sparkle reacted to JeanneAdil in Is a fiance or marriage visa a better path if getting pregnant during the application process?
doesn't not affect the process but does affect the income needed
if female is bene the child would need CBRA if born out of US
And know the risks
https://www.babycenter.com/getting-pregnant/preparing-for-pregnancy/age-and-fertility-getting-pregnant-in-your-40s_1494699
By age 43, your egg supply is near its end. Your risk of pregnancy complications, such as high blood pressure and gestational diabetes, increases after 35 as well, and continues to rise into your 40s. Miscarriage rates begin to skyrocket in your 40s as well.
Best wishes for the 2 of u

Sparkle Sparkle reacted to OldUser in What happens to my assets if I divorce my foreign spouse with a temporary green card?
Hi @PandaEat I'm sorry your marriage is heading towards the divorce. Your wife has the same rights just like as if you were married to an American lady. Nothing different in regards to divorce and splitting assets. All depends on the state laws. If you live in a community property state like Arizona or California, you'd have to split anything accumulated during the marriage 50/50 with her, even if she never contributed even a dollar.
No, you cannot take her green card away. You did not issue it and it's not your property. Only immigration judge can take her GC away and only if she cannot prove her marriage wasn't entered in good faith.
I suggest getting a divorce attorney and sorting the divorce out.
There's nothing you can do immigration wise. She will have to remove her conditions on green card without you. It happens all the time.
It's time to focus, get the divorce done and heal.
Good luck and I'm sorry you're going through this!

Sparkle Sparkle got a reaction from Chancy in Waiting for AOS/EAD - how do people spend these 6-9 months without work?
I can recommend a few...my husband got a puppy and trained him to do things i didnt know dogs could be that smart....he also started learning computer programing languages (python etc) . He brainstormed a business idea which is presently in the works since he got his EAD. He also exercised everyday, read every book in the house.....made me delicious meals....Bought an old car (Toyota camry 2010) from auctions and fixed it in the garage all by himself. The car turned out to be a life saver with current gas prices.

Sparkle Sparkle reacted to Klugscheißer in Waiting for AOS/EAD - how do people spend these 6-9 months without work?
Not sure, if I'm an exception... but I had absolutely no problem with being unemployed for months. Lol
When I arrived, I tried to make myself feel at home. I tidied up, cleaned, painted every room of the house, fixed broken things, started woodworking, built shelves, worked in the yard, and so on... I did everything that I never had the time or energy for when I was still living in Germany.
I live in a very rural area. So, I also explored the woods, went hiking, etc. Then after a few weeks, I also adopted a dog from the shelter and spend all my free time with him. I built him a fence, bed, an agility trail, etc...
Time actually flew by.
Wish I could have been unemployed even longer. I didn't get everything done that I wanted to get done 😁
