sorry for my poorly worded post guys did not proof read but hey my bad was not supposed to send that but hey mistakes happen

Hey guys I just had my GC interview and I think it didn't went so good first off my daughter started running around the officers office then me and my wife got the standard questions she didn't seperate us but i ran into a few problems maybe not quite a problem tell me what you think guys.
1 she said she needed proof of me attending college so i have to send a copy of my transcript but just to make sure its not enough i am going to send a copy of my SEVIS letter copies of my student work permits and my degree. "HOPE THATS SUFFICIENT"
2. Me and my wife been together for a long time 3 whole years of marriage but we were legally separated the end of last year we thought we had closed the case but i guess i worded the letter wrong and the case was still open probably might affect my case but i went to the court house as soon as we got back into town and dropped off a letter asking for the case to be closed she didn't ask for a copy of the judge decision mainly because she can get that on the county website but hey i am going to send that anyway.
Other than those issues she asked standard questions she was straight face and didn't really drop a hint but she did ask where i worked and kinda told me that "with you having two kids with your wife it seem to be ok and i just need the transcript within a month."
I am going to send those things on Friday should be there by Monday.
I hope having a short interview is not a bad thing because i am $#!T tired 2 hour to and from with my daughter screaming both ways wacko.gif .
Wish me luck guys and good luck to everyone who is in the process

OK thats weird, got a EAD card production ordered on the 7...
then today I got a touch again...and an e-mail...and it says Card production ordered on the 9 ?!?!?!
Do I get 2 cards ?
I think that the 7th date is the approval email and the 9th the card was ordered. Get it?
Good luck Arch & Cel!!!
I got the same mail also guys "however you should read them closely one would say you got approved the next should say production ordered" but i think my emails came 4 days apart the second letter is the day the card is produced then wait 4 to 5 days to get it. Congrats hope you get it soon its worth the wait.
-
By the way guys compared to my Drivers license pic The Immigration office did me justice. I must say i look beautiful fingerprint and all.
-
Wow rahtryinhard, your card arrived fast - 2 days, right?
I think that ours could be right around the corner then too because our "card production order" e-mail was dated 7/26 - who knows...I live in Florida.
But it's ok because we're leaving this evening on vacation.
I'm so glad to see that USCIS is approving us. Congrats to you jon_tv & rahtryinhard!
Well Bora Bora I was approved on the 18th and they also sent a message stating that and the wait 30 days for it to be delivered blah blah. Then they sent me an email saying:
*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***
The last processing action taken on your case
Receipt Number: MSC0
Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On July 26, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
I then received my card in the mail on the 27th of July so if your message was like this:
The last processing action taken on your case
Receipt Number: MSC
Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On July 18, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Then I would give it about 9 days my reason for thinking that is because the package my card came in was labeled the 24th of july.
By the way Congrats to Jon tv

Congrats Bora Bora!!!
Seems like you had a good time getting it
.
Well on Friday I finally received my EAD in the mail didn't get it until this morning out of the mailbox because I guess the mailman didn't come his usual time. It was approved on the 18th they also sent me another email on the 25th saying that it has been sent and I got it mail on the 27th of July.
well good look everybody and have a great weekend.

Hello Everybody
I have not been an avid poster on the forum, but I have been reading and gathering knowledge from everybody's gathering all the information I need to know. However but most of all I really appreciate the person "I think celikkanat
" who posted about being able to work once approved for ead because i did not know that and had recently been called for a job offer on Friday to start this week Monday but I had told the company that I should be receiving my card with in 10 days "which I guessed by the arrival times of some of you guys GC". well now I know what info to arm my self with when I call back on Monday with my knew found knowledge.
Thx everybody and have a good Sunday by the way.

Congratulations Guys
m not complaining or anything but t I have two kids s been married for 2 years and 7 months and i still have to go for an interview what more proof do they need?
But still happy i got a interview. But still why is it like that?
-
Well for one thing I know marriage fraud is very common with the immigration process I do not condone it but if one was to call and report the act it can be held against you. But however why would someone say that have you done something to make it same that way.

@Bora-Bora, good luck on the infopass! Waiting sucks, no matter how short or long it is. We deserve a life outside this USCIS blackhole, and each one deserves to be happy & worry-free..
Thanks mysticbluerose. You're right....
I appreciate what you said.
I had also tasked how long should I wait before i do an infopass apointment and she said i should wait 30 more days because it takes 90. However I talked to my bro in florida and he said thats weird because they gave him one at the local office when he renewed his. I am lost with what he said but I guess its different everywhere.

Hi guys
well I haven't been touched since the 31st of may, but today i received a letter for interview at my local office.
I am stoked
hey guys you update me my interview is September 13.
Congratulations!!
We also haven't been touched since May 31st so more hope...
let's see USCIS do something!
Thanks bora bora
I noticed you and I are in the same boat, however I was touched on the same day as my Biometrics and you was a day after don't know what that means but I also had to do a RFE for tax info
. For some reason it was for my i 765 only
and thats what I really care about the most for right now. I had also called customer service yesterday and for some reason the lady didn't know my interview letter was already mailed to me they only had for my i 485. :weird: But thats cool I am just happy I have something to look forward to I wish you the same.
Good luck guys I wish you well

thank you for the quick response because ever since i file it seems like i have been losing my mind, stalking the mailbox and what not.
Don't worry. I'm filing in 20 days, and I'm already freaking out. Can't imagine how I'll be once it's in the mail!
Good luck i hope you get what we are looking for
-
hey guys ignore what i wrote before about i 485 I swear to god ever since i started preparing my papers to send in i Have been losing my mind.
Its either that or being around my 2 and 3 year old all day.
but the cool thing about this whole experience is that i would never complain about is that i would never complain about being at work again. Also i love to read about everybody triumphs on their journey to get there GC i get a lil more comfortable knowing I have someone i can relate to.
P.s. sorry for the bad typing my daughter wants to sit in my lap and hold my face saying boom "really loud" like what she heard at the fireworks show yesterday. For those who don't have kids they are lil
's at this age but they get a free ride because they make you feel like
inside when they do something sweet. My son gave me his m&m when he saw that i was down my daughter kissed my shin when she bumped it with the steel tonka truck.

July 2, 2007, 12:10 PM EDT - Dept. of State has revised its July Visa Bulletin to reflect that all available employment-based immigrant visas have been allocated for fiscal year 2007.
As a result, beginning today, USCIS is rejecting applications to adjust status (I-485) filed by aliens whose priority dates are not current under the revised July Bulletin.
U.S. immigration law limits the number of employment-based immigrant visas that may be issued each fiscal year.
i just seen this today i am worried
Employment based visas. Don't worry. If you are filing for AOS with a K1 or K3 you don't need to worry about this.
thank you for the quick response because ever since i file it seems like i have been losing my mind, stalking the mailbox and what not.

Thank you guys for your help

Didn't your DSO talk to you about how F-1 visa works?
It doesn't matter if your visa expired. You don't need to have a valid visa when you're in the U.S. Your I-94 can't expire, because you were admitted for the duration of stay - that's what D/S stands for. What matters is when you stopped going to school full time or when you were done with your OPT. You fall out of status if you don't enroll in 12 (9 graduate) units per quarter/semester, or when you are done with OPT and don't leave the country.
Jewel you said something which confused me a little but i kinda get what you are saying. however this is my timeline for when things went above my head:
had a kid april 16 2004,
started back at school july ,
had to stop october due to hurricane affect on my family back home.
got married to my "yella" in dec 2004
practical opt training expires march 25 2005

If you are married to a US Citizen, USCIS cannot deny your Green Card because of an overstay. Doesn't matter if the visa overstay is 1 day or 10 years, you will be "forgiven". Don't worry about it!
thanks for the quick response Dr. I appreciate the quick response wish u worked in the DMV
