If this is indeed a bomb and not LPG (from their initial investigations) then I think (personally) it could be a diversion tactics...? They have done it before and for sure they would blame it to the terrorists. It is just sad that they chosed that location and injuring and killing innocent children. That is just unacceptable, for me. (Just my opinion)

as of 12:00MN..8 died, 120 injured & 10 missing.

as i remember..all the posted interview experiences of previous K1 applicants I've seen , W2 was submitted in the pre-screener.

for my case, the pre-screener took my fiance's 2006 W2 & 2006 ITR.

you might want to check my MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE, since I mentioned there the list of documents I prepared & submitted to the pre-screener.

the year that my fiance doesnt have W2,since he was deployed in the Middle East..i secured a copy of his Military Order, just in case this matter will be raise in my interview...Having a work assignment in middle east means free tax to them.

how do we request at (or after) the interview to pick up the visa directly from the embassy rather than wait for them to send DHL? and how many days is reasonable for this request, 1, 2, ? Interview is on Thursday Nov. 8 and as we are trying to fit this into a business trip we need to be departing Manila no later than Tuesday the 13th.

any experience or information any of you have on this would be greatly appreciated!

My interview was Oct 3 & got my visa on Oct 5.. Personally claimed in Window 34.

after confirming the CO about our case approval, I gave him a letter prepared by my fiance, attached my flight itinerary.

not everybody gets aprroval in visa pick-up, so better to support the letter of request with additional document.

As of this time (10:27pm PhTime), its confirmed 8 died & 102 injured in the blast of Glorietta 2 Makati around 1:30pm (reference ABSCBN News). The blast happened in the stock room of Luk Yuen Restaurant near Starbucks. At first PNP thought that it was from LPG but further investigation is now happening to check for a possibility that it’s a bomb. Speculations for this incident are (1) another terrorist move or (2) – GMA administration to divert people’s attention of the current political issues.

After such incident RED ALERT was raised & men in uniform were placed on public areas – LRT/MRT station, Malls & Airport for further protection.

So for those people who will be traveling out of the Phils, better be there as early as you can to avoid heavy traffic inspection.

It just felt bad that some of the victims are student since it was still around lunch time when it happened.

You need to show proof of having met. Do you have that documented? I would recommend that he come visit you.

on my upcoming interview, im bringing my fiance's 2006 ITR which was prepared by taxslayer.com, i told him to contact IRS and request for his 3 years of ITR, but this is the only thing he can provide, but i am backing it up with his W2 form years 2004-2006, i dont think he'll be sending his employment letter or any other memo of active military duty, but ill have his recent paystubs, do u think this will be fine? oh and do i have to get parent's consent to marry? im 23, i think i heard from someone that i need to have this letter of consent from my parents, any input will be greatly appreciated. THANKS

the pre-screener took my fiance's 2006 ITR & W2s 2006..when im about to give her the W2s from 2004-2005, she didnt accept it..as well as the employment certificate (with pertains my fiance's current station) & LES (Leave & Earning Statement)

with regards to parent's consent..im not aware of that..

So, for others who will not commit same mistake...

FIANCEE – the woman to whom a man is engaged to be married

Am getting worry here i havent receiving my packet 4 yet.. My interview will just few weeks frm now.. to be exact November 7.. Is it possible to call the embassy and request or inquired about my packet 4

when i was in this situation..i called the USEMbassy, informed them that i haven't received my packet 4 & idont feel comfortable already because my interview sched .

so i told them that im planning to take my medical in advance to the specified schedule & requested them if i can just claim my packet 4 in SLEC..they agreed..

though the next day, my packet 4 was delivered to us..

the new passport is nice..ive seen one of it thru a friend..

its quit similar with the UK passport..

Since it was the Filipino interviewer who asked the passport number of that applicant, I don't think we necessarily have to memorize it. We can check our notes for the passport #. It's not bad to be overprepared too and I can see the point why skyblue had to suggest that here. However, I also don't think that alexandra was mocking your suggestion. She just thought that Jasman's reply was funny.

My Fiance has a 3 year old son. The father is an American who abandoned her when he found out she was pregnant. The birth certificate does not list a name for the Father and is blank. I am concerned that embassy officials will want the identity of the father and require his permission for her son to leave the Philippines. He is in the United States and his whereabouts are unknown. Even if his location was known and we could contact him there is no incentive for him to assist her since if the child came to the US and paternity could be proven he would be subject to paying child support. Does the embassy require permission from Filipino fathers for their child to leave the country. Any info appreciated. Thanks

there's a lot of single moms here in VJ..even in other forums..who has the word NOT APPLICABLE or blank in the part of father's name in the child's birth certificate.

& when the CO asked them, where's the father..these single moms just answered the CO - "I dont have any more communication with the father of my child"

ANd here in the Phils. if the birth certificate of the child doesnt specify the father's name ..meaning that the full custody falls on the mother only..

i just have few questions, my fiance's W2 2005 & 2006 were just taken from a site, he said that this is the only W2 Forms that he has, he said that military give them access to a site wherein they can generate from there, a copy of their paystubs and W2 taxes, is this okay to present to the consul during my interview? same goes with his Bank Account, he do all his transactions online, he can access his account online, and thats what he's planning to send me for my interview a printed hardcopy online. And does military personel need to send an Employment Letter as well? i would really appreciate all of ur feedbacks

thats the one I presented to the USEMbassy.. the W2s taken on-line..same thing with the LES (Leave & Earning Statement)..

my fiance gave me a copy of his Federal Tax Return too..THis tax return is from Liberty Tax Service..

Actually, Im also confused with these W2 & Liberty Tax..though I gave these two to the pre-screener & she accepted both ..

I also asked my fiance for his letter of employment (a letter from his current command). I had this letter with me, during the interview and showed it to the pre-screener..the pinay staff told me, it doesn't need anymore...
