Congratulations were still waiting on approval letter. So i guess they ran into a problem with ours.. I was hoping to be approved before i travel back there.. I will be leaving for my visit with him on April 10th, maybe i will be approved by then.

First of all, Congrats!  From our experience, we did it within a few days.  You need a valid i94 (which is generated after he enters the POE (Point of Entry) and you can print off online, but it is only available to print for about a week (7days)).  From what I've read, you should do it within 1-2 weeks of him arriving to avoid delays.  There are people that have waited and everything seemed fine and others that did it too early and encountered problems.  So, in other words, it depends on your personal preference and your local SSA office.  Another thing to keep in mind is that not having a SSN, which can take up to 4 weeks in getting after application if there are no issues, is that it can delay other paperwork such as submitting AOS.  So, the sooner you apply, the better so you can move on and submit things on time as you need.  Hope that helps!

It depends. time can vary with receiving your NOA2. Some get it within a month, some two months, others more. It really depends on who has your case file. It could just be sitting on their desk, or it could be in a pile of others cases. NOA2 timelines for K-1 visa is typically 4-6 months. (typically)

It means they accepted the petition. A paper receipt will come in the coming week or 2. Now it's the long wait for approval of the petition.
