@beatbaba Type "I130" in google and go to the official page where the form is. Under the section "Checklist of Required Initial Evidence" it talks about the affidavit.

This question is for those who have went through the CR1/spouse visa process. if your process/case was successful I have this question. After marriage what documents did you provide in proving bond fide? Being in two different countries right after marrying you probably wont have many joint documents to show, especially if you have to get back to the US to live. What did you all show that you all share life, finances, etc together? Could you all be put on the bank accounts in each other countries?

@Georgia16 Thanks for the reply. I assumed the employment position wouldn't be making a difference. When you say "Maybe a bit more complicated with other stuff related to the work side." what did you mean? If you cant give too many details I understand.

Has anyone applied for a K1 or CR1 visa as a federal employee (executive branch)? If so how was it? Was anyone able to use the SF-50 as verification of employment? Or was a letter from HR or a superior required?

@geowrian
@geowrian I was just answering the original post/question, about simple letters. I simply referred to what the website says the third party affidavits attesting to the marriage should cover. They may not provide much according to what you said but someone should provide it anyway in the package and have more than less. Anyone should submit it and then let the reviewing officer determine it’s worthless than assume it’s worthless and not have it and the case doesn’t get approved.
